A special thank you

A special thank you

Drudge and LI have something in common.  August 2012 was our best month ever in terms of traffic.  LI had 1,449,541 page views, Drudge had 943,281,513.

Of course, I didn’t build it on my own, nobody does.  I was helped by the very generous linkage of Prof. Glenn Reynolds, Power Line, Hot Air, Ace and many other bloggers.

And by great posting by Anne and Bryan.  Anne’s video of the Chick-fil-A protests has over 200,000 views on YouTube, and introduced a lot of new people to LI.

Branco’s cartoons have added a great new dimension to LI, and College Insurrection hopefully will expand the demographics of the Insurrection.

I also need to thank Elizabeth Warren, who almost daily provides fodder for exposing the hypocrisy and deviousness of your modern Democratic Party.

And to His Majesty, Barack Obama, whose arrogance and dismissiveness is like warm soup to a freezing blogger on a cold winter’s day (okay, not the best analogy, but I’m on a roll).

And to all the race card players, who prove that there is a thin line between insanity and genius, and who never cross the line into genius, thus keeping the Saturday Night Card Game going.

Special thanks go out to the readers.  Someone somewhere built this, waiting for you to come.  From bumper stickers to photos to Tips to comments, you keep this blog alive.

[insert obligatory thanks to the wife here]

But most of all, I wish to thank the government.  Without roads and bridges, I could not get to the house in whose basement I sit, pajama-clad, secure in the knowledge that the police the rest of you paid for will protect me from marauding bands.

Great work Professor, well done indeed.

“I am Spartacus !!”

You’re on your way! Just another 942,000,000 to go.

Pumped for you and us, your readers! The truth is spreading and it feels good!

Thank YOU professor! This blog provides some much needed sanity in what often seems to be an insane world.

Love it!!!!

Terrific stats, Professor!

WOOOOO HOOOOOO!

Barack has been to bloggers what California gold was is to the ’49ers.

But I am sure we will be busy in his post-presidency years. I have a feeling that bad penny will be popping up like dandelions in a meadow.

In my view, all he has done is thrown a huge bucket of cold water in America’s face and awoken the sleeping giant.

I hope you’re right. I hope they are awake. Wide awake.

While throwing the bucket of cold water on many of us, he has also been busy consistently telling us why we are unacceptable citizens and must change our ways let alone our values. Which of us who may routinely come to this blog has he not either insulted or demonized?

Cold water to those that have American values engrained in their souls AND are paying attention … but “they” seem to feel they have the critical mass of entitlement junkies and class warfare malcontents to launch their full scale assault.

They have their comedians coordinated on the talking points. Media matters is an arm of the White House, and their propaganda is presented as a legit news source to their forces in the media (eg. Ryan’s truth is assaulted as LIE in most major media).

Executive orders override congress, and villains like Corzine get away with “I don’t know where the clients’ billion went, it is confusing”, while Boeing gets prosecuted for going to a right to work state.

Even when deceit and subversion is fully exposed, that “news” doesn’t penetrate the big media defenses. A major victory in blog world is ignored by big media, which has gone all in with the rich racist bigoted misogynist meme.

People feel the cold water, but all of big media points their finger at Republicans as the cause. In much of real life, evil beats good, and they don’t play fair. We have a long road ahead, the outcome is still in doubt. But the internet has given me fresh hope for a new age of “enlightenment”, with LI at the cutting edge “WAJing” war on the dark forces. 🙂

Those who post here and many who comment are very cogent and concise in their words. I think that is what attracts many. There are other choices for emotional venting or release, but here there is a routine of simple and easy to follow observations and analysis, not to mention a greater reliance on fact. Too often other blogs and sites slide into the realm of conspiracy or conjecture.

Uh, am I understand that there’s no conspiracy? That why I was sent, I mean came, here to see if the rumors were true. Now, I don’t know where they’ll send, I mean where, I’ll go. Have make report. No,no. Make lunch.

(Congratulations, Professor Jacobson. We’ll be keeping an eye, I mean I’ll be reading your blog regularly, at least for the time being just to, well, keep informed!)

Elizabeth Warren’s campaign probably accounted for 100,000 of those views. LOL.

Congratulations, Professor! Here’s to many, many more hits – 😛

Congratulations!

Bravo! Look forward to reading LI multiple times a day.

Congrats and thanks to Prof J, Anne, Bryan, Branco, and the commenters here for making LI a daily “must read”.

I’m curious if the guy from Vanuatu who visited Drudge also visit LI? I’ll try to play around with Sitemeter and see if I can figure out the answer to that pressing question.

I find level-headedness and incisiveness at this blog and it is a relief and often restoring to come here and read the posts and comments. Thanks to you and to everybody who contributes.

But most of all, I wish to thank the government. Without roads and bridges, I could not get to the house in whose basement I sit, pajama-clad, secure in the knowledge that the police the rest of you paid for will protect me from marauding bands.

Zing! LOL.

You will continue to grow because you have been consistent and stick to your principles. Everyone knows where you stand, and many of us stand there with you. I have noticed more and more sites link to you, and more frequently. You are also popular because of the many hours you and your co-workers devote to this site. I don’t know how you do it, but I certainly appreciate reading the many articles each day.

Professor, I just love this post on so many levels.

“And to His Majesty, Barack Obama, whose arrogance and dismissiveness is like warm soup to a freezing blogger on a cold winter’s day (okay, not the best analogy, but I’m on a roll).”

I love that analogy!

“And to all the race card players, who prove that there is a thin line between insanity and genius, and who never cross the line into genius, thus keeping the Saturday Night Card Game going.”

I would say that line is rather broad, quite thick, and Matthews & Co. are in no danger of crossing it.

Just as, as I always say, there is a broad line between being stylishly immature and downright childish.

I would dare to say, LI can be stylishly immature and humorous … in other words, on the right side of history, the right side of truth, the right side of reality, and the right side of fun.

“But most of all, I wish to thank the government. Without roads and bridges, I could not get to the house in whose basement I sit, pajama-clad, secure in the knowledge that the police the rest of you paid for will protect me from marauding bands.”

Didn’t you leave somebody out? A certain food company? Hint: Look at your orange fingers.

Keep up the great work! Thanks for all you do.

(I imagine the DNC convention will provide enough card games and Warren-esque moments to last at least a year.)

its not a lot of traffic but I also link to you.

Congrats Professor. I know I started looking at Drudge starting 2008, I stopped listening, reading, watching the MSM when it was obvious they were FULLY in the tank for Obama. I found this site thru Ace of Spades.

I want a free press, but that means to hold ANYONE in power to account — dem or repub, the american mainstream press is liberal, so they only hold repubs, conservative to account, they tilt left, very left. And I’m a centerist, I never relized it until 2008. Now in 2012, its not bias, its pure propoganda.

Keep up the great work, I like reading all sides of an issue before coming to a conclusion, and thanks to blogs like this and others, info can no longer be filtered out by the liberal MSM.

I do not recall which web site initially introduced me to Legal Insurrection, professor, but now I visit every day. Legal Insurrection is a treasure.

“[insert obligatory thanks to the wife here]”

No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, ….. Nyet !!

Special Kudos to that Special Lovely Lady !!!

*snork* 😀

You’re quite welcome, Professor.

Keep it up.

Quite an achievement.

Hopefully it will do to leftist indoctrination in legal eduction what Clint Eastwood did the fraud of ‘Barack Obama.’

Congratulation, Wm! Another guy sitting in his basement, in his jammies, building a great site. This Flying Dog Ale’s for you!

Congratulations, but your success is well deserved. This is how the free market works. Produce something good, don’t overprice it, and the world will come to you.

Interesting thing about Drudge, especially since we were also discussing the old media in the post above. Drudge wasn’t very well known at all until Newsweek refused to run the scoop their reporter Michael Isikoff had obtained on a major scandal. Isikoff or someone close to him leaked the story to Drudge, who ran with it, and his career track took off.

It was the Monica Lewinsky affair. By trying to suppress the news to protect Clinton, Newsweek inadvertently boosted one of the major online news sites that would not play by the old media rules.

Funny how things work out, isn’t it? Continued success and good luck to you & LI.

Don”t get cocky.

Keep up the heat.

And uphold our individual speech by keeping DISQUS out.
