Thanks for the h/t
Dick Morris appeared on Hannity last night (h/t @TheAnchoress) and made a connection between the January New Hampshire debate and Obama rolling out the contraception issue:
If only I had thought of that earlier in the day and pushed the issue into the media with the help of numerous blog friends, I might have received a h/t on air. Better luck next time.
Update: Et tu, Rush?

I gave you a hat tip. You were spot on and first on this. And you did get Reynolds to give you a plug. I look forward to your appearance on TV.
Maybe you need to suck some call girl’s toes or something.

Maybe you should suck some call girl’s toes and work for Bill Clinton in order to gain the conservative credibility to go on Hannity and get plugs from El Rushbo.
Life is often unfair. You still have one of the best conservative political blogs out there.

Over at Breitbart I defended you. Someone says Dick Morris tweeted it a month ago right after the debate. A lot of us tweeted (or posted) that we thought Stephanopoulos’ questioning was weird. That is not the same as connecting the dots as you did yesterday.

Maybe you should check the internet. Rick Perry was the first to say that Obama was engaging in a war against Christianity, and even made an ad about it in December, 2011. Newt Gingrich was late to the party on that one and didn’t start taking about it until late January, 2012.
But it’s not the first idea that Gingrich has pilfered from Perry and not the first time you are too biased to admit it.

To a Friend Whose Work Has Come to Nothing
By William Butler Yeats
Now all the truth is out,
Be secret and take defeat
From any brazen throat,
For how can you compete,
Being honor bred, with one
Who were it proved he lies
Were neither shamed in his own
Nor in his neighbors’ eyes;
Bred to a harder thing
Than Triumph, turn away
And like a laughing string
Whereon mad fingers play
Amid a place of stone,
Be secret and exult,
Because of all things known
That is most difficult.

I hope Rush was just listening to his own words because he just laid out an example of what the msm and O are going to do to Rick on social issues if he gets the nomination.

Yup. The Democrats and the media will smear Rick with his own words and it’s going to be ugly.

I wouldn’t let it bother me that others are saying what was first printed here… they are, after all, just pale imitations of that original gem, LI!!! And I’m not brown nosing. I just happen to believe that this is true. Now we should all be on the lookout for new “trial balloons” that will be floated, or maybe not, now that they know we are on to them.

I’d beware of a far more sinister motivation. By attacking religious freedom, skimming social security funds and increasing the budget outlays, the stage is being set to draw more Catholic and Tea Party protestors onto the streets. Once that has occurred, the OWS can infiltrate these mainstream protestors, obfuscating and blunting their impact.
My cynical side wants to point out the possibility of encouraging violence and pinning the blame on the Catholics and Tea Partiers.

http://motherjones.com/mojo/2011/06/did-mitt-romney-commit-voter-fraud
“Did Mitt Romney commit voter fraud when he cast a ballot for Scott Brown in last year’s special election in Massachusetts? On Monday, one of his lesser known opponents for the GOP presidential nomination, Fred Karger, filed a complaint with Massachusetts state election officials alleging that he voted for Brown, as well as in other Massachusetts elections, when he was not in fact a resident of the Bay State.”

Pure theft is the insincerest form of flattery. How it is that a gifted JEWISH professor spotted the conspiracy against CATHOLICS first — and got his discovery stolen by fellow tribesman Dick Morris on Catholic Sean Hannity’s show — is certainly a teaching moment for us all. We are lifted up by your integrity Prof. Jacobson. Saying “the truth will out” is not much of a remedy, perhaps the best remedy is to let go of the trespass and return to the blogging mine to churn out more gold nuggets.

Without Jacobson’s help I would not have belatedly recognized this exchange for the meme creation that it was it was. At the time I was a baffled as Romney.
Anyway I am surprised at how local the push on this false meme has been.
Thanks, Legal Insurrection. A big Hat/Tip.

Professor, I feel the same way. I talked about this connection on my show last Sunday (2/12/12), and even played some of the very same sound bites that Rush played today.

I’m definitely giving Rush the benefit of the doubt here. I think he would have mentioned LI had he known it was the true source. Heck, his mention of LI is how I got here. I do give major props to Levin, too. Last night he started his monologue with a story he read at Weasel Zippers. He gave them the appropriate H/T, then scolded his fellow radio pundits for not doing the same.
I think our esteemed Professor should be flattered that he is clearly in Rush’s rotation for show prep, and assume that Dick Morris’ audio was perhaps more compelling even though it was borrowed without attribution. JMHO.
