Fox News has reported that freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) received a book deal worth $250,000 that will detail her move to America to Congress. However, the book deal announcement comes at a time when Omar has come under fire from numerous people over her controversial comments about Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Israel, and the Covington Catholic students.

In October, it looked like Keith Ellison might lose his race for Minnesota Attorney General, even though he was the favorite. I discussed Ellison's troubling and continued relationship with Louis Farrakhan, and the accusations by a former girlfriend of domestic abuse,  in my post, Is political end finally here for former Farrakhan activist Keith Ellison? Down 7 points in Minnesota AG race.

The Democrats need to hold all their seats and win 23 seats in order to have control of the House of Representatives. It looks like they're going to lose a seat in Minnesota's 8th District, which is a heavy Democrat district. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) decided to pull $1 million in funding to support Democrat candidate Joe Radinovich since his Republican opponent Pete Stauber has a 15 point lead!

When will the rhetoric quiet down? Apparently not soon enough since the Minnesota Democratic Party suspended a communications staffer due to a joke he made about beheading Republicans. That joke comes days after two Republican candidates for the state government reported assaults against them during this week. One of them suffered a concussion.

Democrats are split over recent allegations of domestic abuse recently pinned to Rep. Keith Ellison, the DNC's deputy chair. Former girlfriend Karen Monahan claims Ellison dragged her off a bed while yelling profanities, an event that precipitated their breakup. At the point where Ellison allegedly grabbed her and began pulling her off the bed, Monahan began filming the encounter on her phone.

Karen Monahan, the woman accusing Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) of abuse, sat down with CBS News to describe the incidents for the first time on camera:
"He looked at me, goes 'Hey you f***ing hear me … and then he looked at me, he goes 'Bitch, get the f*** out of my house,' and he started to try to drag me off the bed," Monahan said. "That's when I put my camera on to video him."

The Supreme Court, in the case of Minnesota Voters Alliance v. Mansky, ruled that a Minnesota law that banned “political badge, political button, or other political insignia" at polling places on Election Day was unconstitutional. The case was brought by voters who, among other things, wanted to wear a Tea Party Patriots tee shirt (see featured image, via MVA Facebook):

Rep. Rick Nolan (D-MN) has announced he will retire at the end of the year, which means the GOP has an opportunity to take a House seat away from the Democrats. This puts a dent in the Democrats plan to retake the House as they have pounced on districts of GOP representatives who have decided to retire.

Social justice activism is usually associated with higher education. We have documented the campus antics of social justice warriors countless times. But what would happen if you started training children from grades K to 12 to become SJWs? One school system in Minnesota is doing just that, and the results are not good.

Democrat Minnesota Senator Al Franken submitted his resignation later at 12PM CT to Governor Mark Dayton. Franken resigned after numerous females accused him of sexual misconduct, including groping and attempts to plant wet kisses on their mouths.

Last week, Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) announced he will resign in the coming weeks after facing numerous sexual misconduct allegations. Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton (D) has appointed Lt. Gov. Tina Smith (D) to take over Franken's seat whenever the senator does decide to step down.
