Last week, The Hill reported that an FBI undercover agent in Russia accused President Barack Obama's DOJ of blocking him from speaking to Congress “about conversations and transactions he witnessed related to the Russian nuclear industry’s efforts to win favor with Bill and Hillary Clinton and influence Obama administration decisions.” His lawyer Victoria Toensing, who served as a Reagan DOJ official and chief counsel of the Senate Intelligence Committee, explained she was trying to free her client of the confidentiality agreement. It worked. The DOJ and FBI freed the informant from his confidentiality agreement, which means he may now speak to Congress about what he witnessed.

The mysteries continue to pile up when it comes to Stephen Paddock, the man who slaughtered over 50 people in Las Vegas earlier this month. Authorities still have no motive and it seems that everything new that pops up brings more questions. ABC News has reported that Paddock's laptop does not have its hard drive, meaning the authorities don't have access to a possible direction to a motive. Also, authorities in Los Angeles arrested his brother Bruce on child porn charges.

House Judiciary Committee Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) have announced an investigation into the handling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal by the FBI and Department of Justice. The two committees will also investigate why the FBI didn't announce its investigation into then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign associates. From The Washington Examiner:
The probe will be conducted by two congressional panels responsible for overseeing the Justice Department and government operations in general. The investigators will review then-FBI Director James Comey's various decisions pertaining to the Clinton investigation, such as his unusual announcement that she should not face indictment.

Judicial Watch announced today that the State Department told a federal court that officials still need to process 40,000 out of 72,000 emails that belonged to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The watchdog organization filed a lawsuit to receive her emails in May 2015. The department has only processed 32,000 and released a small amount of those.

The Hill has reported that FBI records from 2009 and 2010 show that people within the Kremlin attempted a campaign to move spies close to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Bill Clinton, and those close to them. This happened when Rosatom, a Russian nuclear company, wanted to purchase the Canadian company Uranium One, "which controlled 20 percent of America's strategic uranium reserves."

Yesterday, Kemberlee blogged about the recent reports that allege President Barack Obama's administration covered for failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her family on a few occasions. One instance included the Clinton Foundation's dealings with Canadian Uranium One, a bribery scandal the FBI knew about and decided to sit on the evidence. Now The Hill has reported that an FBI informant in Russia alleges the Obama DOJ blocked him from speaking to Congress "about conversations and transactions he witnessed related to the Russian nuclear industry's efforts to win favor with Bill and Hillary Clinton and influence Obama administration decisions."

The Obama administration ran interference for Hillary on more than one occasion (that we know of), if two recent reports are to be believed. First, there's the issue of the Clinton Foundation's dealings with Canadian Uranium One (sold to Russians), which include a bribery scandal the FBI was aware of, and in which the DOJ chose not to reveal until after the deal was done. Secondly, emails posted by the FBI as part of their public disclosure efforts indicate Comey planned to exonerate Hillary months before he interviewed her in the home-brewed email scandal investigation.

Last year, when then-49er Colin Kaepernick explained why he knelt instead of showing respect for our nation, its flag, or its anthem, he was very clear about the nature of his pointedly anti-America protest.
"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."
This was, of course, in the wake of the Ferguson riots and during the rise of Black Lives Matter.  The context was very pointed and very deliberately anti-America, and it mattered not that it was based on misinformation at best and outright lies at worst.

Disgraced former Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner's lawyer told a court today that Weiner is not at fault for sexting with a 15-year-old female in North Carolina because she wanted to affect the 2016 presidential election. Weiner's estranged wife is Huma Abedin, failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's closest aide and confidant.

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray to inform him that the committee found in unredacted parts in transcripts that former FBI Director James Comey decided to write a statement to exonerate then-presumptive Democrat presidential candidate before the FBI finished its investigation into her emails.

A grand jury has indicted Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz's former IT aide Imran Awan on four counts. The indictment includes his wife Hina Alvi, who escaped to Pakistan with their daughters earlier this year. Authorities arrested Awan at Dulles airport in July, where he planned to fly to Pakistan after he wired almost $300,000 to the country.

I woke up to numerous alerts on my phone about an FBI raid on Paul Manafort's home in connection to the investigation into possible Russian interference in our election. At first, it appeared that the raid happened this morning, but a deeper reading showed it occurred on July 26. An even deeper reading showed that authorities didn't make any huge discoveries. But the media can't help itself when it comes RUSSIA. From The Washington Post:

When former President Bill Clinton met with then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch at an Arizona airport, the gross impropriety of the "tarmac summit" was immediately evident.  Clinton's wife and 2016 Democrat presidential hopeful was then under FBI investigation for her server and email scandals.  The impropriety was pooh-poohed away by a defensive AG, a disinterested media, a complicit FBI, and the corrupt Clinton clan. The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) has released 413 pages of memos obtained from the DOJ that show the "tarmac summit" was planned and that the media was working with the Obama-Lynch DOJ to downplay and bury the entire incident.

The FBI has arrested Marcus Hutchins, the British security researcher that stopped the WannaCry ransomeware attack, for allegedly being a part of a software attack on banking accounts. The Guardian reported:
According to an indictment released by the US Department of Justice on Thursday, Hutchins is accused of having helped to create, spread and maintain the banking trojan Kronos between 2014 and 2015.

Authorities arrested Imran Awan, the IT aide of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) under an FBI investigation, at Dulles Airport after he wired almost $300,000 to Pakistan. The police arrested Awan on bank fraud charges and cannot leave the country. A source recently told The Daily Caller “that the FBI has joined what Politico previously described as a Capitol Police criminal probe into ‘serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network'” by Awan, his wife Hina Alvi, and his brothers Abid and Jamal.
