Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) announced that President Donald Trump will not sign the short-term funding bill the Senate passed last night. From Politico:
“The president informed us he will not sign the bill that came from the Senate last evening because of his legitimate concerns for border security,” Ryan told reporters after meeting with Trump at the White House. “So what we're going to do is go back to the House and work with our members.”
Ryan confirmed that the House also has "very serious concerns" when it comes to border security.

Whether you call it the swamp, the deep state or the Washington, DC establishment, it was definitely out to get Trump following the 2016 election. He wasn't supposed to win and he had angered some of the wrong people. How else can this be explained? The Russian collusion conspiracy that Democrats and their media allies have obsessed over for the last two years was fueled in large part by the Steele dossier. It's sad to learn that someone associated with John McCain played a role in this.

The government has three days to come up with a plan to avoid a partial government shutdown on Friday. As of today, it looks like if it happens, the blame will fall on the Democrats instead of President Donald Trump. The Democrats rejected the latest offer from the GOP even though the White House said officials may "have other ways" to achieve raising $5 billion for a border wall.

President Donald Trump abruptly canceled his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the increased tensions in Ukraine after Russia attacked and seized Ukrainian vessels in the Black Sea. From Fox News:
"Based on the fact that the ships and sailors have not been returned to Ukraine from Russia, I have decided it would be best for all parties concerned to cancel my previously scheduled meeting in Argentina with President Vladimir Putin,” he tweeted Thursday.

President Donald Trump made a promise on the campaign trail that he would reform our beleaguered Department of Veterans Affairs. The latest reform puts an and to official time within the department, which means that medical employees at the VA will not receive taxpayer money while doing work for the unions. From the VA news release:
“It’s common sense,” VA Acting Assistant Secretary for Human Resources and Administration Jacquelyn Hayes-Byrd said. “Allowing health care workers to do taxpayer-funded union work instead of serving Veterans impacts patient care negatively. President Trump has made it clear – VA employees should always put Veterans first. And when we hire medical professionals to take care of Veterans, that’s what they should do at all times. No excuses, no exceptions.”

On Monday, President Donald Trump told Scott Thuman of the Sinclair Broadcast Group that out of everything that has happened in his first two years in office, he regrets his tone. From WJLA:
Trump said if there was anything he would try and redo it would be to soften his tone.
"I would like to have a much softer tone. I feel to a certain extent I have no choice, but maybe I do," Trump said. He attributed his tone during his first two years in office to wanting to get things done on his agenda, adding that he could have been softer in his delivery.

The media went wild and claimed that the city of Pittsburgh didn't want President Donald Trump and his family to visit and pay respects to those massacred 11 people on Sunday. Video inside the hospital has a different story. It shows the staff warmly greeting Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Ivanka, and Jared Kushner. To disappointment of the media even more, Tree of Life Rabbi Jeffrey Myers only had nice things to say about Trump.

Following the horrific massacre of eleven Jews at a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday, liberal commentators have not only blamed President Donald Trump for the climate in which the massacre took place, but also Trump's Jewish supporters. One of those commentators was Aaron David Miller, famous for being a Middle East peace processor in the 1980s and 90s.

Stephanie Clifford, better known as Stormy Daniels, sued Donald Trump for defamation over Trump's assertion that Daniels' lied about supposed threats against her. She is represented in the case by Democrat presidential hopeful Michael Avenatti. We covered a bit of the meeting between President Donald Trump and rapper Kanye West at the Oval Office, as they were surrounded by press. Our initial report focused on West's experience with the MAGA hat. But the meeting contained so much more that could be consequential. West used the highly public venue to preach the value of Trump's "Make America Great Again" approach, excoriate the Democrats, and persuade the president to reconsider implementing "stop and frisk" in Chicago.
