Capitol Hill Riot January 2021 Tag

Professor John Eastman spoke at the Trump rally on January 6th, but did not take any part in the events at the Capitol. Days later, with the school facing pressure, he retired from his position at Chapman University. Now Eastman is suing the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he was a visiting scholar, alleging defamation stemming from the same event.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Gilead Light admitted Julian Elie Khater, 32, did not use the bear spray he had in his hand during the January 6 Capitol Hill riot:
Julian Elie Khater, 32, of State College, Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of Morgantown, West Virginia, are charged in spraying the chemical irritant at Capitol police officers Brian Sicknick and Caroline Edwards, as well as Metropolitan Police Department officer Damian Chapman.

Unlike the BLM and Antifa mobs that rioted and burned their way through American cities for much of last year, many of the people involved in the Capitol riot of January 6th are sitting in jail. One man who is being held even claims he has been beaten by jail guards.

Democrats were eager to seize upon the events at the Capitol on January 6th as their Reichstag moment in order to clamp down on "domestic terrorism," to militarize DC by keeping the National Guard in DC despite there being absolutely no reason for them to be there, and to use as a political weapon against duly-elected Congressional Republicans.

Democrats and their media cohorts are furiously trying to spin out their Capitol riots Reichstag moment by hyping lunatic conspiracy theories as if they have any basis in reality.  The goal is two-fold: demonize Republicans, particularly Trump supporters, and create a climate of fear in order to justify a new war on "domestic terror."

Over the last four years, countless anti-Trump stories in the news relied on anonymous sources. The term 'according to sources' has become a punchline, and people in media are the only ones who don't get the joke. They used this dishonest tactic to push the debunked Steele dossier, the Russia collusion lie, and more. Now they are doing the same thing with the Capitol story.

The tragic death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick in the aftermath of the Capitol riots triggered frenzied reporting from mainstream media outlets like the New York Times, which reported on January 8th that Sicknick died "from injuries in pro-Trump rampage." Though the Times updated its report, it initially reported that "At some point in the chaos ... [Sicknick] was struck with a fire extinguisher, according to two law enforcement officials."
