It's not like we haven't been warning about this for the ten-plus years Legal Insurrection has been in existence. We have. In posts too numerous to link, we have warned that the anti-Israel movement, including anti-Zionist and far left-wing Jews, has been so relentlessly demonizing and dehumanizing Israel that they were normalizing antisemitism.

After 19-year-old John Earnest opened fire on the Chabad of Pomway in California, the anti-Semitism that has plagued America came to the forefront. The View co-host Meghan McCain pushed back against both sides when it comes to anti-Semitism, but she rightfully pointed out Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar's anti-Semitism. Omar took a shot at McCain this morning by tweeting, "Oh, bless her heart!" Us in the south know exactly what Southerners mean when they use that phrase.

The left's alarming and increasingly blatant Anti-Semitism has reached new lows.  The New York Times International edition published an absolutely appalling cartoon depicting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is featured as a dachshund, leading a presumably "blind" President Trump. It is so horrifically offensive that the New York Times has since deleted the image online and issued an Editor's Note explaining that publishing it was an "error in judgment" because the cartoon is "offensive" for containing "anti-Semitic tropes."  I'm not sure how effective such a note can possibly be since we have all just had (re)confirmed our worst fears about that publication.

Last month, the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill held a conference on its campus called “Conflict over Gaza: People, Politics, and Possibilities." According to its website, it:
...will shed much needed light on the current realities in the Gaza Strip, giving participants a deeper understanding of the context of these realities and offering concrete options that can better the lives of Gazans. The conference also highlights Gazan culture–music, films, food, and art–to showcase the beauty that goes along with the challenges of life in the Gaza Strip.

New York City Councilman Kalman Yeger (D) engaged in a series of tweets about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and the non-existence of Palestine last week. They generated such an uproar from The Usual Suspects that he has been tossed off an immigration committee at the insistence of Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio and influential anti-Semitic figure Linda Sarsour.

After years of hostility to Jews and their pro-Israel views at California State University and San Francisco State University, a lawsuit was brought against the board of trustees, faculty, and even the President of the University. SFSU had been a particular thorn in the side of their Jewish students, more so than other universities around the country. They are rated within the Algemeiner's  list of campuses that are the "worst" for Jewish students.

Last week, Israel's Ministry of Strategic Affairs hosted a three-day conference, called DigiTell19, aimed at combating the anti-Semitic boycott campaign, or BDS Movement, hosting around 90 pro-Israel social media activists and bloggers from around the world. I had the privilege of representing my grassroots group, Indians For Israel, at the event in Israel.

Last month, Chelsea Clinton was among the many Democrats who condemned Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her anti-Semitic ravings. Yesterday, Chelsea was surrounded by a mob of NYU students who berated her for these comments and blamed her and her comments for the New Zealand mosque attack that left 49 dead and another 48 injured.

CNN's Jim Acosta is nothing if not predictable. In the middle of the Democratic party infighting caused by the anti-Semitic rhetoric we've heard from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) in recent weeks, Acosta saw fit not to question the comments themselves, but instead President Trump's grim assessment of the Democratic party's relationship with the Jewish community.
