I am an Environmental Health and Safety Professional, as well as a science/technical writer for a variety of news and professional publications. I have been a citizen activist since 2009, and am one of the co-founders of the San Diego-based group, Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition.

Legal Insurrection has been closely following the news related to the start of the Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic from the beginning of January. In February, we covered the report from China on the probable laboratory origin of the virus. In March, we noted that there was a report that Chinese officials ordered the destruction of coronavirus laboratory samples in December.

Today's update features lockdown protests in my home state of California. I have come to the conclusion that the reason a "quarantine" is 40 days long is that is the duration people are willing to be isolated. Many states' governors, recognizing the success of Sweden's approach and evaluating the status of coronavirus infections in their states, are slowly reopening.

President Donald Trump's comments at a recent Coronavirus Task Force briefing led to distorted press reports implying that he proposed drinking bleach and Lysol to fight coronavirus. However, his remarks have led others to explore another technology he mentioned: Ultraviolet Light Treatment.

Today's update features two California doctors, who assert that the state does not need the "shelter-in-place" orders. Doctors Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi are co-owners of a chain of Accelerated Urgent Care facilities, in Bakersfield. They have evaluated the state reports and reviewed the data collecting after conducting more than 5,000 coronavirus tests themselves.
