Stop and Frisk policies are controversial because of claims of racial bias in implementation.

In August 2015, the ACLU and the Chicago police department reached a consent agreement to scale back stop and frisk. The ACLU-Illinois website describes the accomplishment:

I didn’t plan on watching the 60 Minutes interview of “Stormy Daniels.” And I didn’t watch it when it first aired.

But I did later read the transcript, and some things jumped out at me that led me to watch at the 60 Minutes website.

Sure, with over a trillion dollars in spending there are some individual items that could be praised, but as a totality it’s a monstrosity, a POS, a sellout to the worst of D.C. big spending.

Ahed Tamimi and mother take plea deals, to serve 8 months

Ahed Tamimi, who turned 17 in January, was charged with hitting and kicking Israeli soldiers, captured on a Facebook live stream by Ahed’s mother, Nariman, who also was charged.

Ahed also faced charges for unrelated prior rock throwing and for a broadcast statement supporting suicide bombings, knife and other attacks.

Ever since  YouTube without any warning took down Legal Insurrection’s YouTube account in January 2017, I’ve been well aware of the power liberal-leaning high tech oligopolies have over our ability to communicate with each other. The account was restored after a fairly massive news coverage of the takedown.

After a Pew Survey in January 2018 showed a weakening support for Israel among Democrats, particularly liberal Democrats, there was much gnashing of teeth in the pro-Israel community.

Court allows expanded lawsuit against American Studies Association and lead faculty activists over Israel Boycott

The American Studies Association (ASA) adopted the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) academic boycott of Israel in December 2013.

The academic boycott, which is considered a violation of academic freedom by the American Association of University Professors, was condemned by over 250 university presidents and numerous university associations.
