Pro-Amnesty protesters invaded Eric Cantor’s election night headquarters, creating chaos in a perfect metaphor for the immigration debate.
Should be a bumper sticker for those who oppose immigration amnesty and voted last night to defeat Eric Cantor.
Alternative national headline: “I’m against lawlessness, and I vote”
That lawlessness is reflected at the border where tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors are crossing over in anticipation of amnesty, or at least being allowed to stay under Obama’s administration DREAM provisions.
The lawlessness also was reflected at Eric Cantor’s campaign gathering last night, where pro-amnesty protesters charged into the room shortly after Cantor left and in the words of WaPo, created “chaos”:

Here’s the report from CBS 6:
Immediately after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor exited the room following his concession speech, a group of political demonstrators stormed inside, at the Westin Hotel off Forest Avenue.
They came in shouting and waving a large flag, along with a red shirt printed with the name CASA De Virginia.
The group defines itself as a community organization that protects civil rights, according to their Twitter page.
Several skirmishes occurred as the crowd shouted swarmed into the room. Someone in the group knocked the glasses off of a CASA de Virginia member. A Cantor supporter was put in a choke hold, seemingly by someone trying to remove her from the room.
Plates of food were tipped over and demonstrators were also pushed around. At this time it doesn’t seem as though any arrests were made.

No. It is not.
They violate the civil rights of others in the process of trying to steal what is not theirs.
I know this is a very incorrect opinion coming from someone who is really tired of people behaving lawlessly…. but a small part of me really wishes the Cantor crowd had delivered a beat down to the activists.
Politically incorrect, maybe. Plain old incorrect, no.

You must remember, these things are planned in advance. The ‘activists’ thought Cantor was going to win his primary, because that’s what all of the talking heads were saying, so they planned on storming the victory party and driving a wedge issue into the upcoming November election.
When he lost, they were already at the site, so they charged on in anyway. Lemmings.
I may seem cynical, but it could also be that this was the agitprop equal of a “friendly lawsuit”…that the “community activists” were planned for by the Cantor people.

Yes. And Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) held a press conference attacking Cantor on May 28, 2014 in Richmond after touring with him on “Dreamers” amnesty in 2013. Many think it was kabuki theater to help a very high ranking Republican who supports amnesty and comprehensive immigration reform. It appears Cantor had an inkling his amnesty support was not going over with his constituents and attempted to fool them. Brat showed up before Gutierrez got there and spoke before the television cameras on amnesty and got coverage for free which was invaluable since Cantor would not debate him. The “spontaneous” demonstration at the unexpected concession speech appears to have been part two of the kabuki thus the angry Cantor supporters running them off in a clown show.
For some reason I get the impression that these protesters were alerted that Cantor had left, and that there was an expectation that they were going to see Cantor…..but were shunned, since he lost.
Just an impression. The people who let them in, the Cantor folks, didn’t seem to expect such an angry outburst. But they must have known they were there…………?
Cantor canceled a pro-amnesty speech he was schedule to give later this week. That speaks volumes.
The BIG question I have is, WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IF OBAMA “UNILATERALLY” MOVES ON IMMIGRATION, as he has promised in the wake of Cantor’s loss?
What more can he do, via Exec. Orders, and such, than allowing an invasion of our southern border, which is fast reaching into the 100’s of thousands, as we speak?! What more can he do than ALLOW them to be transported to nearly every state and given taxpayer-funded benefits, including healthcare and food stamps, at the very least, and then RELEASED – whether they are criminals, sick with contagious diseases, or worse?!
What will Johnny “we are only 1/2 of 1/3 of the government” Boehner, Mitch “McConnelling” McConnell, the SCOTUS (led by John “it’s a tax” Roberts), or ANYONE ELSE do?!
With the DoJ’s numerous boots on the necks of the governors, what can they do?!
What can anyone do who is too SCARED to “look” or “appear” RAAAAACIST or to supposedly HATE these “poor children” who are “fleeing” here?!?!
It is both INSANE and ILLEGAL.

Nothing. That’s part of the reason why Cantor was replaced.
The “threat” of more Obama EO’s for illegal aliens appears to be pretty toothless.
What is he going to do? He’s already not deporting them. Even convicted illegal alien criminals are being released back into the U.S. Over 35,000 so far (according to the administration), including almost 200 murderers and more than 400 convicted of rape or other sexual assaults!
So what more can Obama do? Is he going to throw open the borders and advertise in Mexico and Central America that we will accept anyone who can just get in sight of the border? Already done (and we’re seeing the effects now).
And BTW, the point of classifying the current swarm of illegal alien minors as “refugees” rather than illegal “immigrants” is that refugees can get quicker legal status, and they also qualify for taxpayer-funded benefits (i.e. welfare) that immigrants are not legally eligible for. This is why the minors are being coached to tell Border Patrol/ICE officials that they are “afraid” to return to their home countries. Once they make that claim, they are automatically entitled to a hearing. From there, they can quickly get “refugee” status and all its attendant benefits, including welfare.
Clearly it was pre-planned. Clearer still is they assumed Cantor was going to win, along with everyone else.
Whether or not they knew Cantor lost at the time of the insurrection matters not to the low-info crowd..

It was confusing to figure out which side of the issue they were on. I think a “pro-amnesty protestor” is someone who is against amnesty, not for it.
