South Park Takes On Zimmerman Case in “World War Zimmerman”

It seems that South Park is going to roll out a parody of the events surrounding George Zimmerman’s self-defense shooting of his assailant Trayvon Martin in an upcoming episode tonight to be entitled “World War Zimmerman.”

Details are scarce, but South Park put out this press release in advance of the episode, which airs Wednesday 10/9 at 10:00 pm ET/PT.

South Park Studios also released a couple of brief previews, which we’ve embedded below:

Can’t wait to watch it, but I’m afraid I will not like it.

By the way, if you were outraged at the young man suspended from school for bringing a gun shaped key chain, wait until you read this other story about an 8 year old suspended because he pointed his finger while playing.

Hard to say at this point how Matt Stone and Trey Parker will go with this story. One of the things I’ve noticed over the years is that South Park has a somewhat Conservative side just under the surface. These promos make it appear that it will be a story about Cartman/Zimmerman? being a gun happy nut case. But sometimes South Park turns the tables on Progressives after drawing them in. We will see. I hope the writers actually investigated the entire case and didn’t just watch CNN. If not, oh well. South park has disappointed me before. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen.

I’m sorry to say that South Park did not retain me as an expert consultant on the matter. 🙁

And after all that time I’ve invested into South Park. 🙂

should be fine, they dislike conservatives but HATE hippie liberals.
their 1% episode was a riot, in todays day and age you can’t blame a black person for anything, token.

So, what you are telling us is that he can live tax free and not have to sign up for Obamacare. Clever.

This is one of the very few times when I’d like my TV subscription back. But then I remember the commercials….

But I agree, South Park does have a conservative undercurrent that can be quite strong at times!

I won’t be seeing tonite’s episode (unless someone posts it on the Net, which is pretty likely) until later, but I won’t be surprised to find it has some surprises for everyone. At least I hope so!

Well, it spun senseless in the last few moments. Ah, well.

Just like I predicted, I did not like it.

I am a fan of South Park, but this episode was disappointing.

Hard to decide what was worst – the poor conception, bad writing, ignorance/dishonesty or the moral cowardice.

I posted a picture of your 2014 calendar on my FB pg along with the link to Patriot Depot where you can buy it. It’s absolutely HILARIOUS!
