Glenn Greenwald appeared on Meet The Press this morning.
The interview is garnering headlines, mostly for David Gregory’s suggestion that Greenwald is not a real journalist and question as to why Greenwald should not be prosecuted.
Not being prosecuted, of course, is something David Gregory knows a lot about.

The McClatchy story referenced by Greenwald reveals the complete paranoia of the Obama administration about secrecy not only as to “secret” but as to just about everything, Obama’s crackdown views leaks as aiding enemies of U.S.:
Even before a former U.S. intelligence contractor exposed the secret collection of Americans’ phone records, the Obama administration was pressing a government-wide crackdown on security threats that requires federal employees to keep closer tabs on their co-workers and exhorts managers to punish those who fail to report their suspicions.
President Barack Obama’s unprecedented initiative, known as the Insider Threat Program, is sweeping in its reach. It has received scant public attention even though it extends beyond the U.S. national security bureaucracies to most federal departments and agencies nationwide, including the Peace Corps, the Social Security Administration and the Education and Agriculture departments. It emphasizes leaks of classified material, but catchall definitions of “insider threat” give agencies latitude to pursue and penalize a range of other conduct.
Government documents reviewed by McClatchy illustrate how some agencies are using that latitude to pursue unauthorized disclosures of any information, not just classified material. They also show how millions of federal employees and contractors must watch for “high-risk persons or behaviors” among co-workers and could face penalties, including criminal charges, for failing to report them. Leaks to the media are equated with espionage.

So glad you posted this.
Everyone needs to see it.
That question from Gregory about “Hey, aren’t you a traitor too?” was a planted question….by the Obama Administration…to chill EVERY journalist in the country.
OBAMA ADMINISTRATION POSITION: “Leaks to the media are equated with espionage.”
Call it the “Omerta Administration.”

Just ask Jimmy Hoffa…Funny you should ask that Dave. Shouldn’t you be charged with a crime for possessing an illegal magazine in DC.
Why isn’t Obama being impeached.
That’s a damn good question!
HEY D.C. A brave young man once stated “Lets Roll”. Howz’ about it you gutless bastids!
I may not be crazy about Greenwald’s body of work over the years but on this issue he has my full support.
He gets extra points for slamming that smug smarmy a$$wipe Gregory.
His response to Davy’s charges was a thing of beauty.
Hope the clip goes viral.

Wow. Sounds like the smart thing to do would be to report your co-workers, before they report you.
Eliminating your competion makes your road to the top easier, too.

I remember from ancient history–mostly unkown and untaught this day in age, but well recorded…on stone tablets I believe…
…of a certain entity called the Stasi that used this exact tactic.
The POS is using it, too.
Federal workers told to report on colleagues.

SaaaaNAP, ba-zing, ka-POWIE…
That one was one for the “best of” file, Prof…!!!!
Not a federal employee but I hold a federal contract, and you are ALL on report.
I’ve been on report since ATTTACK WAAAAAATCH!
Ha! Double secret probation lamb chop!
” They also show how millions of federal employees and contractors must watch for “high-risk persons or behaviors” among co-workers and could face penalties, including criminal charges, for failing to report them.”
Define “high-risk persons or behaviors”. I’m sure that would include visiting this site or associating with people who do. This is great! I can report my progressive friends and family for associating with me!
And it’s really really hard to make Greenwald look good. I’ve never been a fan of his, and I’m not thrilled with the way he’s played the whole Edward Snowden thing (leaking documents out of context, then leaking the context weeks later), but unless he sought out Snowden and convinced him to leak the documents, Greenwald should not be prosecuted. Snowden made the choice to give up his First Amendment rights as to information he learned in the performance of his duties, but Greenwald did not.
Firearms laws, on the other hand, are a burden we all must share. If you don’t think the Second Amendment protects my right to a certain product, it sure doesn’t protect Gregory’s.
Gregory is part of the protected class. A “useful idiot” of the former communists regimes- think Walter Duranty of the NYTimes during Stalin’s reign.
This time around he represents the useful idiot of the Progressive Left. Here he says its legal because the government says its legal and doesn’t even blink. Doesn’t question the fact that the FISA court rejects only a small percentage of the requests. That FISA has complained to the government and that complaint is being held secret by the current DOJ.
That the effort of huge sweeps is “lazy policing” by the government. It is harder but more efficient to chase the bad guy from say Yemen here rather than grab up all the historical data here and sift through it.
Stupid and lazy, but the natural effort of a government without restraint.
Did gregory swallow and wipe his chin before he did another favor for princess barry?
David Gregory professional sock puppet.
This week Obama has appointed 5 gay ambassadors/ envoys. An envoy to some EU thing & ambassadors to Denmark & Spain ( which have gay marriage ) & the Dominica republic & Australia.
I researched some gay sites & one comment stated …….Ok it looks bad what he has done in the NSA but he could really do good things for us in the next 3 years.
So the left & gays will overlook this NSA thing for their gay agenda.
You are so f***cked.
