Graham Platner Uses Wife As Human Shield After Sexting Scandal Emerges

Graham Platner Uses Wife As Human Shield After Sexting Scandal Emerges

“Really s**tty of you to put her in this position in the first place, dude, and now you’re making her answer for you? Just a pure scumbag right through to the core.”

The hits just keep coming for the Democrats’ golden boy, Graham Platner, with the latest revelations being eye-opening not just because they contain icky, salacious details that go well beyond fantasizing about self-pleasuring in porta-potties, but also because of how mainstream media outlets obtained the information.

The newest scandal first landed on the pages of The Wall Street Journal, which reported Saturday that the presumptive Maine Senate Democrat nominee had sexted with multiple women while Platner and his wife, Amy Gertner, were more or less still in the newlywed phase. Gertner alerted officials with his Senate campaign early on when they were conducting their own opposition research.

And now, several months later, and just ahead of the June primary, the public knows about them too:

Days after Graham Platner announced his Maine Senate bid, his wife informed the campaign about a potential political problem she had previously discovered on the oyster farmer’s phone: sexually explicit texts with several women, according to people familiar with the matter.

Amy Gertner, who married Platner in [2023], told the campaign about messages she had found early in their marriage in the spring of 2025. In late August, as some aides were conducting opposition research on their own candidate, Gertner disclosed the texts to a campaign aide to make sure they didn’t pose a risk to her husband’s nascent campaign, those people said. The campaign had been preparing for a major rally over Labor Day weekend last year with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who was set to officially endorse Platner at the event.

Aides ultimately decided the texts were a private matter that was being handled by the couple in marriage counseling, a campaign official said. The rally proceeded as planned, with thousands in attendance.

While The WSJ didn’t provide details on the substance of the texts, they did note that Platner also still had an active account on Kix, which might be even more creepy than having a sexting affair:

Platner also has an active account on Kik, a popular, private messaging app. Platner’s profile shows a mirror selfie of him shirtless with a towel wrapped around his waist. Many of his tattoos are clearly visible in the picture.

Except it appears “phustle0331” opted to strategically cover the Nazi tattoo, for some strange reason:

Incredibly, Platner now appears to be using his wife as a human shield to deflect from criticism:

On Saturday evening, she also released a lengthy direct-to-camera video acknowledging that the couple had faced challenges, but saying that “our marriage counselor helps, my personal counselor helps, Graham’s personal counselor helps, and we work on our mental health every day.”

“No marriage is perfect, and I don’t want a perfect marriage,” Ms. Gertner said. “I want my marriage, and I want to be married to Graham.”

Watch:

Neither the video nor his apologists’ excuses for him went over well on X:

A few things to add to all of this: Clearly, this was sourced from either inside the campaign or from former staffers who left after the first of the Reddit posts were unearthed, and it just goes to show that there is indeed an internal war brewing among Democrats over whether they made a mistake with going all in for a complete political novice like Platner.

Some on X were even talking about how these oppo dumps could be groundwork for Democrats to do what they did to Joe Biden and essentially force or shame Platner to withdraw from the race so they can install a new nominee:

Republicans have already indicated that the oppo they have on Platner was so wild that he’d probably “have to leave” Maine:

Mark Halperin said Friday on 2WAY’s “The Morning Meeting” that an NRSC source tells him the opposition research they have yet to release on presumed Maine Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner is so damaging that he won’t just lose the election, “he’ll have to leave the state.”

Platner is the presumed winner of the Democratic primary despite reports that he had a tattoo with Nazi iconography and a history of online comments that could offend almost anyone.

“The NRSC says they’re going to go so negative on Platner,” Halperin said. “I saw one of the spokespeople say he’ll have to leave the state. He won’t just lose the race, he’ll have to leave Maine.”

I can’t wait.

Looks like the Maine Nazi has a streak of Muslim in him too,

Morris Katz is a fucking embarrassment to Jews everywhere, He should do us all a favor and curl up and die. We don’t need Nazi supporting Jews. Muslim supporting Jews are enough of a problem as are progressive Jews.

“Per Maine law, Platner can quit after he is nominated without providing a reason prior to 5pm on the 2d Monday in July…. It’s pretty clear that the Democrats strategy is to pull a Robert Torricelli”

If the Democrats are “pulling a Torricelli,” the deadline is irrelevant. The whole point of a “Torricelli” is that the Democrats get to do whatever they want, whenever they want, regardless of any inconvenient dates mandated in THE LAW.

Thought it was July 13 for the dropout deadline. Anyway, my money is on him dropping out around then, the Party putting Mills back onto the ballot, and ramming a few bazillion dollars into her campaign to spend her across the finish line in November.

“Platner has adopted the human shield strategy from Hamas but has opted to use his wife instead of a hospital”

Hamas forced people to be shields
Platner’s wife volunteered

The people Hamas used were victims
Platner’s wife’s an idiot

Keep in mind that Maine is a seriously (bleep) up place right now. The southern part especially has gone so far left that you’ll need to use the James Webb Space Telescope to it. They’re leaving socialism behind and running head long into communism.

My point being that Platner isn’t the Democrat standard bearer in spite of his abhorrent views and positions, he’s the standard bearer because of them. Everyone knew. They threw Janet Mills under the bus. The sitting governor threw in the towel because she ran out of money.

This dude is dangerous. Perhaps the party will jettison him and install someone else but that person will not be any less left.

In spite of all this, odds makers are still favoring Platner over Collins.

What a mess!

“The southern part especially has gone so far left”
My go-to analogy for leftist colonizers until now has been locusts.
I’m seriously thinking of making the move to black mold.

She needs to change her name to Eva Braun, and his campaign slogan should be obvious: MAINE KAMPF!

I hope this demonstration finally ends all nonsense about ‘needing a moderate to win moderate Democrats’.

Collins is the most milquetoast RINO moderate its possible to be, and yet the Democrats are still supporting the literal Nazi tattooed man over her.

ANY Democrat will be supported over ANY Republican, period.

None of this will make a difference to Platner voters. The Nazi tattoo and the rabid antisemitism does not seem to have cost him a single vote, and the misogynism and philandering will only arouse and titillate the female voters who were already going to vote for him.

From everything I hear on the ground here in New England is the independent voters aren’t going for this guy.
I don’t think this race is close.
I could be wrong.

The wretched and vile communist/National Socialist Dhimmi-crat, Platner, needs to become a Muslim tranny, in a desperate bid to deflect attention away from his innumerable and disqualifying traits and scandals.

“I am now ‘transitioning’ to become a ‘trans woman,’ and a devout Muslim, thus fulfilling two of my lifelong ambitions.” — “Graham Platner.

Why are we even considering someone who needs that many counselors? Crazy Nazi and his cray cray wife should be nowhere near elected office.

It’s very nice that his marriage has not been ruined and his wife is understanding. Congratulations. But that’s irrelevant because the state of his marriage was never the point. The whole point was about what sort of character he is, and his wife’s forgiveness and understanding and support doesn’t change that.

Platner didn’t put her in this position. She knew what she was marrying, hell the guy had a Nazi tattoo, and she put herself in this position. When the sexting came up she could have bailed and didn’t. She also could have refused to do the hostage video but she did. What is going on in their marriage is none of my business. It’s the totality of things about this guy that disqualifies him.

Looks like there are a lot of people here who are incredulous that the Maine Democrats are going to support this miscreant no matter what. They will all dutifully vote as instructed, and the fraud machine will provide whatever else is needed. “Nothing to see here, move along!” Is the order of the day, so looks like we will get to see how the real fascists operate, in case there are any lingering doubts.
