Iran Hostilities Set to Resume as U.S. Enforces Hormuz Blockade
Centcom: The blockade to be “enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports (…).”
Hostilities are set to resume as the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz takes effect Monday morning, following the collapse of weekend talks in Pakistan.
President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports will begin on Monday at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time.

The blockade only applies to ships and tankers leaving Iranian ports, Reuters reported Monday:
U.S. Central Command said U.S. forces would begin implementing the blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports at 10 a.m. ET (1400 GMT) on Monday.
It would be “enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman,” it said in a statement on X.
U.S. forces would not impede freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports, and additional information would be provided to commercial mariners through a formal notice prior to the start of the blockade, it said.
As the blockade comes into effect, President Trump reminded the regime that its “Navy is laying at the bottom of the sea, completely obliterated – 158 ships.”
He warned the existing Iranian naval force to stay clear of the U.S. Navy operating in the strait or risk obliteration.
“What we have not hit are their small number of, what they call, “fast attack ships,” because we did not consider them much of a threat, ” the president wrote on Truth Social. “Warning: If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at Sea.”

The move is set to end Iran’s energy blackmail, extorting money from countries trying to get their oil tankers through the waterway. Around 20% of the world’s oil supplies passed through the maritime chokepoint before the war.
Despite six weeks of intense U.S. military operations, the Iranian regime appears to be questioning President Trump’s resolve to enforce the blockade. “President Trump’s threat to block the Strait of Hormuz is ‘more bluffing than reality,” a spokesperson for the Iranian parliament’s National Security Commission said, CBS News reported. Ebrahim Rezaei warned that Tehran was prepared to respond if the situation escalates militarily.”
Update: Reports on Monday evening indicate that a China-bound tanker carrying Iranian oil has been turned back, suggesting that the U.S. blockade is having an effect.

France and UK won’t join U.S. mission, to co-host conference on Hormuz transit
Europe’s leading powers will not be getting their hands dirty by joining the U.S. naval mission; instead, the U.K. and France will be co-hosting a conference to deliberate on the issue.
Meanwhile, German state media is speculating whether the Bundeswehr—the country’s armed forces—would even be capable of carrying out a maritime mission, given its current dilapidated state.
“The UK will not be involved in enforcing the US military blockade of Iran, Sir Keir Starmer has said,” the BBC reported Monday. “Sir Keir, who has recently returned from a visit to the Gulf region, said he had been working with allies to “keep the Strait open, not shut”.”
According to public broadcaster France24, “France and Britain will co-host a summit this week aimed at establishing a “peaceful multinational mission” to restore traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, French President Emmanuel Macron said Monday, stressing that the mission would be “separate from the warring parties”.”
France and the UK are planning a conference to discuss a strictly peaceful plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
When Iran refuses after being asked nicely, I suppose they will be forced to offer tea and croissants. https://t.co/o5fWOx79Na

OPEN THE STRAIT
CLOSE THE STRAIT
Well, yes. Depending on what happens to be in the USA’s interest at any given time.
Good Morning Milhouse,
“Well, yes” is correct, however I believe more along the lines of proving than interest.
1-This admin. sent 1, VP Vance, to negotiate and That admin. sent a hive of 70.
2-That admin. has been proven to be “an old white guy colonialist” hive.
Unequivocally proven, try to explain any other way.
3-Democrats keep calling President Trump “Hitler” which is so telling.
Hitler had a mullah. Closest here is Obama.
4-This is a (political time) very quick, global exposure of the Borg.
I believe President Trump is “proving” the individual vs the hive.
I hope I win, or at least Elon gets an established base on the moon.
I sense you’re not the sharpest tool in the shed. This is a brilliant move that is a step in the process to restore freedom of navigation in the strait. The blockade is a game changing counter to Iran’s piracy and breaks the economic back of Iran. It is game over, just a question of when in the next few days these terrorists decide to concede.
You call me stupid and want to talk it out? Spare us.
You’re frankly don’t appear capable of arguing the matter so “talking it out” would be rather pointless. And you might want to reconsider the plural pronoun. Could be how you identify yourself but I would suggest growing up and learning some grammar.
Us? Is your name Legion? Are you a they/them? Is it a royal we?
Macron, Starmer and Sanchez are Tweedledee, Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber.
The totally dhimmified, emasculated, leftist/communist, so-called “powers” of Europe are and will be utterly useless, in any kind of confrontation against despotic evil, whether of the Islamofascist variety, or, something else.
Breaking: Trump Gives Iran 48 Hours to Reopen Hormuz
Trump gives Iran 48 hours to re-open the Strait of Hormuz or “The United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
And yet in April the Strait of Hormuz is still closed and he still hasn’t obliterated their various power plants, starting with the biggest one first.
What’s up with that.
eot
What’s up with that? Well, Tthat was one possible strategy. This is another that economically eviscerates the terrorist regime (but leaves the infrastructure intact for possible sane successors) and is a step in the process to restore full freedom of navigation. Ships transiting the strait to and from non-Iranian ports will not be impeded.
Macron and Starmer, talk about it, talk about it, talk about it, Funkytown.
I agree with you and also I loved that song!
President Trump Issues Tuesday Deadline For Iran to Open Straits of Hormuz
President Trump Issues Tuesday Deadline For Iran to Open Straits of Hormuz Trump to Mullahs: Open Hormuz Straits, “or you’ll be living in he**.”
And yet it’s a week later and the power plants and bridges are still intact and the mullahs apparently aren’t living in he**.
What’s up with that.
eot
You seem to be stuck on stupid.
And now the unsaid is said.
They’re not blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
They’re blocking Iran’s ability to use it. And the ability of our NATO ‘allies’ to abet Iran.
Most functional military bases in the EU are run by Americans. The Europeans should really take a moment to reflect on what that means.
The long haul is that the blockade will force permanent shutdown of mature wells. Even a temporary capping leads to irreversible trapping of the oil in the bedrock. So, this has major implications… but then….. the IRGC has murdered and stolen its way to power… so what is a little permanent damage?
the welfare states of europe are once again using america to do their biddings/job
so while the msm and demtrumpers were all over israel for “controlling/manipulating” the usa into a war
the facts are that its the eurotrash once again and their gop ability to act like they are doing something but really not,, that is winning the day..and our military>>troops>>money
the msm cant control trump ( hence the tds) so once again all efforts being made by leftists and pseudomaga types to beatdown the usa
we are actually winning but the the non stop lefty propaganda has them winning
like I state…..when the election results are announced we take *their* word for it..the results
we have to become a much more vigilant maga to stop these preds
Trump needs to either sh*t or get off of the pot,..this daily strategy change is what creates forever wars
It hasn’t been two months. Is this a “forever war” already?
Thanks for the daily dose of stupid.
You’re not very bright, are you?
Good. Enforcing it reveals who our ‘allies’ are, what if any military capability they have to offer to support the USA as well demonstrating just how foolish their migrant policy was alongside their foolish ‘green energy’ policies with a side of remaining energy dependent on Russia.
It’s all out in the open now
It absolutely is and the fact that our major NATO allies haven’t sent Naval assets to assist in/around Strait of Hormuz and probably couldn’t do it if they wanted to. Instead there’s a half hearted effort to deploy assets around Cyprus in the Eastern Med left defenseless when UK evacuated their base. FWIW the single Destroyer the UK pledged to send to Cyprus still hasn’t arrived.
NATO is ineffective. The European members Chronicle under fund and under invest in defense spending to the point they collectively can’t create a modest joint Naval TF to get to the Strait of Hormuz. An alliance isn’t worth spit if the members don’t even have the troops/equipment on hand much less lack the willingness to confront domestic pressure when deciding to use them. End the farce and pull the plug.
The “if any” part of your comment seems particularly appropriate given the current state of the UK’s navy.
For one reason or another, virtually all (literally all?) of their ships are stuck in port.
They attempted to send ONE destroyer to Cyprus. It took two weeks to get under way, and then immediately had to return to port for repairs.
While France is absolutely refusing to help, and in some ways actively obstructing, at least they managed to put together a respectable fleet and send it to the eastern Med.
Formerly-Great Britain still has a (pathetically small) fleet, but they can’t seem to get any of their ships out of port under any circumstances.
What good are our allies in Western Europe when they are only fair weather allies? We need to disengage with them. Let them defend themselves!!
“Hostilities are set to resume” – Are they?
Seems most likely this blockade alone will suffice.
>90% of Iran’s exports and imports flow through the Straits, and we are blockading their ports that are south of the straits as well. Their economy is highly dependent on foreign trade. And their currency is already worthless.
Here’s another issue that you won’t see mentioned anywhere in the legacy liberal “mainstream” propaganda outlets:
Oil storage.
Iran’s storage tanks are currently about 60% full and at their current rate of production, with no exports, these will be at capacity in just under two weeks.
At which point they would have to stop production on their active wells. Which is very risky and can cause significant permanent damage. The pressure change causes water influx which not only can damage equipment but can make a significant (5-10%) of the entire reserves permanently unrecoverable. For a particular well, after restarting, production can be permanently reduced by as much as 90%.
If you are wondering how long Iran can hold out before caving to Trump’s demands while their ports are blocked, the absolute max is about 12 days on this issue alone.
Money is the lifeblood of the mullahs. It pays for the various militias, proxies, and goons that keep them in power. Shutting off the money is better than hitting the oil infrastructure or electric plants. Those will be needed to reconstruct Iran after the Mullahs.
As for Trump’s various threats: False alarm to all the people the mullahs used to human shield the power plants and bridges. Duped again !
The videos of small drug boats blown apart will either make Iran’s fast boat crews become deserters or decide to meet Allah sooner than later.
