Breaking: Trump Gives Iran 48 Hours to Reopen Hormuz
“The United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
President Donald Trump issued a blunt 48-hour ultimatum to Iran on Saturday night, warning that if the Strait of Hormuz is not fully reopened, the United States will respond with direct military action.
The timeline is not vague. The clock starts from the moment of his post, making clear this is an immediate deadline, not a distant threat.

“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
The warning centers on the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most critical chokepoints in the global economy. A significant share of the world’s oil moves through that narrow passage, so any disruption quickly ripples across energy markets and supply chains.
But Trump’s message goes further than prior pressure tactics. This is not about sanctions or naval posturing. It is a direct warning aimed at Iran’s internal infrastructure.
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. President Trump confirmed that he will start by striking Iran's BIGGEST power plant in 48 hours if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened
Things just got a LOT worse for the regime. The clock is ticking.

Taken together, the message signals a clear escalation. Instead of focusing solely on keeping shipping lanes open, the threat shifts to hitting assets inside Iran itself if the situation is not resolved.
That raises the stakes considerably. Tensions around the strait have already disrupted shipping and added volatility to global energy markets, raising the possibility of a rapid shift from pressure to action.
Trump has long argued that countries most reliant on the strait should do more to keep it open. This ultimatum suggests he is prepared to act regardless.
The next 48 hours will show whether this holds as a warning or turns into something far more consequential.

Boom, boom. Out go the lights.
The wimps of Europe can send all the wine, beer and cheeses they want as their “contributions” to the war effort, but
only Japan is sending real help,

Quite honestly, who in Europe has what to send?
I am sorry to say that the U.K. is NOT the British Empire of old. Do a search on “the readiness of the U.K. Navy”. Also, from 9 March, “British aircraft carrier will not be sent to Middle East, say officials.”
France is doing what they with one aircraft carrier and three frigates.
Germany? From February 2025: “Only 42 of the Luftwaffe’s 109 Eurofighter Typhoons and 38 of 89 of the Tornado fighters were available deployment – an availability rate of well below 50 percent.
Italy? “Italy has announced it will not participate in the ongoing war involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.” Good as If one is a student of history, having the Italians on your side is an bad omen…
None of the rest of NATO even has anything useful to offer as at best they might offer ground troops who are not useful.
However I think the best thing to come out of the current situation is that it allows serious discussion of this question:
What is the benefit to the United States of participation in NATO?
Pat Travers says yeah.
I have no love for Iran but this is only going to punish the civilians. I’m sure the Guard has plenty of generators in their hidey holes. What he should do is bomb the rank and file guard and perhaps any facilities that supply Qom.
Want to know where the bad guys are?
See whose lights are still on.
So, I suppose you condemn Sherman’s March to the Sea?
An interesting question. Lichau, how about giving us YOUR position on that.
I would suggest that asking about the WWII bombings of Japan and Germany might be more on point.
I see that all that chest beating about the poor Persian citizens and how they aren’t our enemies but are friendly to the West was just so much bull by at least 6 of you,
The Mad Muslims showed their hand when the missiles to destroy Europe and America were revealed when they struck at Diego Garcia. The Russians are fools. Trump is not.
But let’s not forget, there was no imminent threat. Democrats assured us of this.
You’ve maxed out my sarcasm chart!
Brb, making new charts.
Are you trying to suggest that the smart and morally justifiable action wouldn’t have been to wait until the terrorist regime armed its ICBMs with nuclear warheads? Joe Kent would refer you to Iran promise that it had limited the range of its long range missiles. Are you suggesting that Joe is full of ____.
A threat is not imminent until after the nuclear armed missiles have been launched. Once the nuclear warheads are the air the threat is borderline imminent, but even then you must wait until they are half way there before taking any action.
If you do so much as to lift your little finger to attempt to pre-empt a nuclear armed terrorist regime from being able to strike, you are fighting a war of choice.
It almost sounds like you’re not completely convinced by Iran’s often cited but never seen Fatwa against the development and use of nuclear weapons.

Warning – coffee on keyboard zone approaching.
Glad I put my coffee down.😂
That is hilarious, but it bears a kernel of truth. The war will wipe out all the old guard of the regime, and may have nearly done so. Then the true fanatical crazies will take power. You know, the teen and 20-something young men who march through the streets while whipping themselves bloody with chains and cracking rocks over their heads. If there are 5-10 million of such men, no popular uprising has any chance of success, and the true fanatics will take over the regime.
This is what happened in 1979.
good and they too will know that they too can meet their underage 72 males asap
They murdered 40k plus civilians for protesting the mullahs. That was this year. They’ve murdered 100’s of thousands more over the years for simply wanting to be free of the mullahs. That doesn’t count the 1000’s of Americans killed or maimed too. I don’t think the civilians will mind if the US and Israel take out the power grid. As said above the only ones with lights are the ones who will be lights out after being on the receiving end of la bomba. FAFO
And they will probably kill a lot more than that before this war is over. The regime cares about only one thing – staying in power. The one thing I would like to know, but have no stats on is: how many fanatics exist in their population they can recruit into regime militias? If there is a popular uprising, that is the only thing that matters. If the fanatics are even 5% of the population, there is no way the regime will be overthrown, but 10s of millions could die trying.
I guess Iran is going to have to decide soon if they really want Kharg island to exist anymore.
All they will do is stuff the interior fence line of their power plants full of civilians. Bomb the power plants and we’ll kill a few hundred Iranians.
If not summer in the Middle East is always so lovely.
The Colt Peacemaker may have been the “Gun that won the west” but Trane tamed the south.
You think? I think they’re going to have a hard time producing electricity from their plants after we deprive them of the fuel and infrastructure that make those plants run. Contrary to the belief of those duped by the climate grifters, it actually takes gas and oil to make the electricity in the first place. Ask Cuba if you don’t believe me.
Trane HVAC tamed South, except for blue cities where it’s cool indoors but outdoors is still like the wild west.
Headlines like these cause more panic in our energy markets and causes Western economies to weaken even more. That is Iran’s bet, they can defeat America and the West that way since they know they can’t defeat our military. All Iran has to do is fall back and launch missiles from time to time until they win by outlasting Western tolerance for pain. This remnant can go quiet for a while and rebuild slowly with the help of their allies and next thing you know, America has a Presidential election and who knows, Iran might get lucky there too.
I would define “winning” in this war as seizing their fissionable material, even if it involves digging it up. So far we haven’t done that.
That would make sense if we knew where it is located. Do we?
Israel must know
Israel should take it just because it will piss of Europe, the UN, and the progressives here
not to mention the antisemites.
