Rubio Strips Green Card of ‘Screaming Mary’s’ Son

“Masoumeh Ebtekar – also known as ‘Screaming Mary’ – was the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has terminated the green cards of three more Iranian nationals tied to a figure at the center of one of the most notorious episodes in U.S.–Iran history, with federal agents now taking them into custody pending removal from the country.

Seyed Eissa Hashemi, his wife Maryam Tahmasebi, and their son are currently being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after losing their lawful permanent resident status, according to a State Department announcement.

Hashemi is the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, who served as the spokesperson for the militants behind the Iran hostage crisis, during which 52 Americans were held captive for 444 days.

Rubio laid out the case in a detailed statement:

“Masoumeh Ebtekar – also known as ‘Screaming Mary’ – was the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days – subjecting them to beatings, starvation, and mock executions.

In 2014, the Obama Administration granted visas to her son and his family to enter the United States. In June 2016, the Obama Administration gave them lawful permanent resident status via the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program.

This week, I terminated their lawful permanent resident status and today, Seyed Eissa Hashemi, Maryam Tahmasebi, and their son are now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending their removal from our country.

Her family should never have been allowed to benefit from the extraordinary privilege of living in our country.

America can never become home for anti-American terrorists or their families – and under the Trump Administration, it never will.”

The move comes amid broader scrutiny of Iranian regime-linked individuals residing in the United States, including other relatives of senior officials who have faced immigration action in recent weeks.

Before his arrest, Hashemi had been living in the Los Angeles area, where reports and photos showed him maintaining a comfortable lifestyle, even as criticism mounted over the presence of regime-connected families in the United States.

If only Marco could prove Obama was born in Kenya…

Too late to undo what he did to our country and blacks.

Kenya..yes…. “Obama”..doubt it. Think Frank Marshall Davis. “Obama”‘s mother wanted to prove she was down for the struggle… no whites for her… and with Davis a close friend of th family…. very close I wager. Just who is BHO as his past is likely all made up.

What has 0bama got to do with it? The “green card lottery” was created by Congress in 1990, long before anyone had heard of 0bama. And it mostly benefits Irishmen and other Europeans.

So 0bama was president when he won the lottery. So what? How does that make him responsible in any way? The lottery wasn’t his idea, he had nothing to do with its enactment, so how is it relevant that he just happened to be president when this guy won it?

It would be appropriate to “broadcast” the names and administrations which permitted these terrorists into the USA.

Also, who else has been identified as an “anti-American” Iranian / islamist warranting detention, revocation of visas or de-naturalization (if previously granted), and deportation ?

Is the US confiscating wealth of these “enemies” ?

Do loyal Americans (legal immigrants from Iran) have lists of these “persona non grata” ?

Has anyone asked Valerie Jarrett if she knows any of Iranian relatives of current or former high, ranking military personnel?

The left a.k.a. mostly Democrats, do not understand that after being used, the radicals will turn on them. Why? Because Ds an other leftists have proven they will turn on their home country.

Valerie and all antecedents, as well all extensions of her nuclear and extended family, and and all progeny thereof should be identified, bio-metrically pursued, once identified, stripped of all wealth, given the choice of genetic neutering and / or marked in various apparent superficial as well with bio-transmitter (e.g., mRna genetic) implants, with “USA PersNonGata” … and, returned to the country of their most likely origin (Not the USA or any territory there of) naked.

I must now go, say a Pray and ask for forgiveness and fulfillment of my imprecatory prayers.

Milhouse in reply to Sisu. | April 12, 2026 at 8:52 am

What the hell are you talking about? Jarrett’s “antecedents” were 100% American, going back far longer than Donald Trump’s.

Has anyone asked Valerie Jarrett if she knows any of Iranian relatives of current or former high, ranking military personnel?

What is this sentence supposed to mean? It’s not English? “Any of Iranian relatives”?! And what has Jarrett got to do with it?

Iran only has two ally’s in the world
    1- The UN
    2 -The democratic party

Which terrorists? What have these people done wrong? On what basis do you presume to call them terrorists?

Ah, diversity. Because we don’t have nearly enough America-haters in America now, we must import them. Just doing the hating of America Americans won’t do.

We REALLY need to chase certain people out of America. And a bunch of them are Americans. And a bunch of those are in positions of power. Ugh.

inspectorudy in reply to GWB. | April 11, 2026 at 6:11 pm

Two countries that do not have the social and cultural problems of most countries in the world are Finland and Japan. They have their own issue but not like we do where our culture is being ignored and replaced with third world crap. The homogenous countries like the UK, Sweden, Germany, and Norway have become sewers because of their woke leaders. Stockholm in now the rape capital of the world! Diversity is only good in a box of chocolate, but offers nothing of value to our country. Is Cinco de Mayo important to us? Is Ramadan or Tet useful to our culture? The idea for immigrants was for them to BECOME Americans, not to set up their old country in our’s. Most nationalities are now coming here and not assimilating but creating their old country and vaues here instead. Of course, the absolute worst of all immigrants are the Muslims who never assimilate and obey their own laws and culture.

Dolce Far Niente in reply to inspectorudy. | April 11, 2026 at 11:13 pm

The box of chocolates argument for diversity only works if all the pieces in the box are chocolate. If some of them are actually filled with fecal material, all that diversity becomes horrifying.

Ah, diversity. Because we don’t have nearly enough America-haters in America now, we must import them.

What makes you think green card lottery winners are likely to be America-haters? Why would America-haters even enter it?

The biggest beneficiaries of the lottery seem to be Irish. The only winner I know is German.

Seems like common sense to throw out any guest who chooses to be hostile to the host. They can be sent home to bad mouth their own Country.

Of course, the vile, contemptibly Islamophilic, Muslim terrorist-enabling/funding/whitewashing, narcissist-incompetent-dunce and general piece of excrement, Obama, would welcome Iranian regime despots to the U.S.

Milhouse in reply to guyjones. | April 12, 2026 at 9:02 am

What has 0bama got to do with it? He happened to be president when these people won the lottery, that’s all. Had Trump been president, would it have been any different?! And what have any of these three people done that you call them “despots”?

guyjones in reply to Milhouse. | April 12, 2026 at 10:06 am

None of that changes Obama’s attitudes and Islamophilia. And, pointedly, even if he personally had nothing to do with it, why didn’t his Secretary of State kick these pukes out of the country, after they had won the lottery?

Don’t be so perennially dense, Milhouse. You love playing the gadfly, but, you’re really not quite as shrewd as you imagine.

Milhouse in reply to guyjones. | April 13, 2026 at 4:27 am

Kick them out for what? No one is even alleging that they did anything wrong. They won the lottery, so they automatically got green cards, end of story. The identity of the president at the time is irrelevant.

The question is why Rubio saw fit to cancel their green cards? What did they do? How can it possibly be valid to take action against someone for no reason at all, just because of who they are? How can that be constitutional? Isn’t that corruption of the blood?

guyjones in reply to Milhouse. | April 12, 2026 at 10:07 am

      “Relatives of Iranian despots.

      You happy, now, Milhouse.

      You’re such a perennial dope.

Good. Now find 443 more.

But how??? The “Diversity Immigrant Visa Program” is a lottery – you can’t just get that visa, you have to win it. Looks like Obama pulled some strings here…

Barky was brought up Muslim, left it for Marxism but always by his words had a soft heart for it.

Injunction coming in 4,3,2,1…

“In 2014, the Obama Administration granted visas to her son and his family to enter the United States. In June 2016, the Obama Administration gave them lawful permanent resident status”

“Oh, them scamps Barry and Joe!”

Why do we even bother continuing to pretend there are consequences for anybody except us little people.

A “comfortable lifestyle” in Los Angeles. Why is it that these types always seem to have plenty of money?

i don’t understand what are the grounds on which Rubio has canceled their resident status. What have either of them done (let alone their child)? Is it seriously legal for Rubio to arbitrarily cancel any US resident’s status, just because he feels like it?! What is this, corruption of the blood?!

Someone tell Milhouse to go take a walk.

Milhouse in reply to MAJack. | April 13, 2026 at 4:28 am

Someone tell you to go for a long swim, across the Atlantic. Starting from a helicopter. You’re openly advocating corruption of the blood! Racism!

We should prevent Muslims from entering the USA in order to prevent them from practicing Islam and murdering Americans.

Milhouse in reply to ConradCA. | April 13, 2026 at 4:33 am

While barring Moslems from entering would technically be constitutional, since the constitution doesn’t protect foreigners who are not in the USA, it would be deeply contrary to the spirit of the constitution. However deporting someone who is already here, just for being a Moslem, is clearly unconstitutional. And so is deporting someone who is here just because of his ancestry, which is what seems to be happening here. What’s amazing is that there doesn’t even seem to be an attempt to explain it or to justify it. It’s outright racism.
