Former CNN Employee Don Lemon Signals He’s Open to Running for President

“I think I could be President of the United States. I could definitely run this country better than Donald Trump.”

Don Lemon, who was fired by CNN in 2023, recently appeared on the Pod Save America podcast and signaled he was open to running for president if the right circumstances arose.

Lemon indicated that he could do a much better job than Trump, but also said that he would face electoral limitations because he is a black man.

It would certainly be a fun campaign to watch.

FOX News has details:

Don Lemon talks possibility of being president, says he’d be ‘a lot better than Donald Trump’

Former CNN anchor and independent journalist Don Lemon addressed whether he would ever consider running for president.

“Do I ever think about it? Yes,” Lemon said on “Pod Save America” Sunday. “Could it happen? Yeah, it could happen if the opportunity presented itself, the right opportunity presented itself. Look, if I wanted to, I know people are going to think I’m crazy. This is going to be the headline, and people are going to laugh about it. I think I could be President of the United States. I could definitely run this country better than Donald Trump.”

Lemon said that he currently doesn’t have any interest in running for office, arguing that it could “ruin” his life and pointing out that White male candidates “get away with” far more than female or minority ones. He also argued that he would have to change his party affiliation from independent to Democrat.

However, he pushed back on the idea that it was impossible for him to consider running.

“Am I at that point now? No. And I know people are going to say Don Lemon is crazy. But yeah, that’s…look, why can’t I think about running for office? Why can’t I think about being President of the United States when look at what we have?” Lemon said.

Yes, of course. The media lets Trump get away with everything while Obama was held to account constantly. What version of reality do these people live in?

See the clip below:

The high level of regard that Lemon has for himself is truly remarkable. If he did ever run for president, he is right that he would face a significant amount of scrutiny, but not because he is gay or because he is black.

Lemon would have to answer lingering questions about blatant misogyny, which he displayed on the air at CNN on more than one occasion, as well as his alleged 2018 sexual assault case in which he supposedly rubbed his fingers in a New York bartender’s face after touching his private parts. The accuser eventually dropped the charges, but there are still unanswered questions.

Not to mention the ongoing case of Lemon’s involvement in the invasion of a Minnesota church by activists during a service. Lemon is trying to stand behind the First Amendment and insists that he was there as a journalist, but even if that was true, it doesn’t excuse his behavior. Journalists are not allowed to burst into churches during religious services.

Lemon makes his living these days as part of the Trump-hater economy. Trump-deranged liberals and bitter former Republicans have created an entire industry out of their disdain for the president. They appear on each other’s podcasts and only speak to one another, feeding their resentment and confirming the biases of their viewers.

I think he vastly overestimates his appeal as a political candidate for anything, but I’d love to watch him try.

“he would face electoral limitations because he is a black man.”

He’s right. A black man has never been elected. Oh wait. There was that Clinton guy,

“I know people are going to say Don Lemon is crazy.”

Well stop my clock! Lemon is bat shit crazy.

He also missed the opportunity to play the gay card. Maybe next time,

I didn’t know he was a comedian. I understand he’s got a narcissistic problem but he’s got to be kidding.

Why don’t the Democrats just run Benny Hill? A dead non-citizen clown who does blackface. Might as well check as many boxes as they can on the way out the door.

J6 protesters, by the thousands, were arrested for far less than what Don Lemon did. Only a handful of them committed any crime at all.

Hundreds were denied bail. Some spent, illegally, over a year in prison before any charges were filed against them.

Our legal system is completely corrupt.

Lemon should not be walking around a free man.

I bet he’s open to a lot of things.
Many of which used to be illegal in most states.

I bet he could land a 767 and fight a bear too.

I would like to buy him for what he is worth and sell him for what he thinks of himself.

Ol’ Stink-Finger would fit in with past rapey Dim candidates.

Donny, doesn’t want the work of conducting an election campaign, he wants to be handed the job/anointed ….just as he was in his previous career he doesn’t understand or refuses to accept he was a DEI/AA hire to check off whatever boxes were being pushed at the time.

Don Lemon: “I think I could be President of the United States.”

And so said almost every other four year old in this country.

And it carries as much weight.

That’s a joke, right. He will have lots of competition. There may be 20-30 Democrats running in 2028. Even Rahm Emmanuel and Sen. Fetterman might run.

Where do people like him get the idea that a President “runs the country”?

Don seems full of it. Fired Ex CNN anchor reduced to “independent YouTube journalist” believes he is POTUS material.

It’s all about the money. If you recall, the Clinton Foundation donations dropped when it looked like both of them had run out their “15 minutes.”

I was thinking just last week that “I think I could be President of the United States.” Or perhaps I could be a benevolent dictator.

Don Lemon, a legend in his own mind.

In the last 15 years, i have not seen a more obnoxious, attention seeking narcissist than Lemon. He has the intellect of AOC, and the only reason he was ever heard of on CNN is because he is black and gay. He is in constant search of both attention, and victim status. His only real qualifications are as pivot man in a circle jerk at a San Francisco bath house.
