North Carolina, Texas Head to Polls for Contentious Primaries

North Carolina, Texas Head to Polls for Contentious Primaries

Gotta watch the Texas races.

We have a few primaries tonight! I bet most of these end up in a runoff, though.

Texas

Texas polls close at 7 PM CT except for the western edge of Texas, which sits in a different time zone.

Those polls close at 8 PM CT.

Texas is the most significant one after incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R) and Attorney General Ken Paxton’s combative campaigns.

Cornyn also faces off against Rep. Wesley Hunt.

However, President Donald Trump never endorsed a candidate.

“They’ve all supported me,” Trump said last month. “They’re all good, and you’re supposed to pick one, so we’ll see what happens. But I support all three.”

Then we have the lovely Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D) against state lawmaker James Talarico.

Crockett or Talarico will face the Republican winner.

Crockett already whined about the low voter turnout, blaming new voting rules.

The loud representative said that it’s “so sad that the Republicans don’t know how to win fair and square.”

North Carolina

Democrats and Republicans are fighting to replace retiring Sen. Thom Tillis (R).

The winners will likely be former Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper and Michael Whatley, former chairman of the RNC.

The Democrats believe they can win this race because Cooper has never lost a race as governor or state attorney general.

Five Republicans want to unseat Rep. Don Davis (D) for North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District after the state redrew the map, making it a GOP-friendly district.

Whatley and Cooper won.

Cornyn doesn’t deserve this seat

He’s been a acolyte of the RINOs with Mitch till he saw the dice roll

I thought the Dems had come out super strong early voting in Texas

What is jasmine smoking

Yet, Cornyn is ahead

Because Hunt split the ‘screw Cornyn’ vote. They’ll have to do a runoff as neither is going to get 50%.

Cornyn didn’t come close to 50% despite Thune apparently setting $70 MILLION on fire trying to save him.

Yet unless cornyn manages to break 50% there will be a runoff. Would be kind of interesting to see if there was only two how the race would have turned out. Looks like we get to find out soon enough

Yes I understand, the ads were endless in central Tx and indeed that worked
Cornyn took both Travis and Williamson county’s Bigly.

How much more money does Cornyn have available

Patton is going to need a lot more money and on the street campaign workers

On the plus side, Eyepatch McCain got thrown out in a LANDSLIDE, losing 39% – 57% to Toth.

I’m watching Brandon Herrera’s race. Right now he and the incumbent are 20,276 to 20,280 — four votes! Runoff will occur, great news.

Talarico is handing Crockett her walking papers, hard.

Maybe Abbott should send Crockett a consolation gift of a Hot Wheels Play Set.

As bad as Crocket is , he’s worse

They have really spent a lot of money cleaning this monster up.

He use to be my state congressman for a short period, till they redid seats to get some worthless dems out and he was one. He quickly was put in a deep blue area in Austin and I thought I wouldn’t need to deal with his assine self again.

    He is literally insane

Extremely left. All about pronouns and quoting the Bible to say God doesn’t forbidden abortions.
If you listen to earlier interviews with him, you’ll go insane cause that’s the effect he has on you
He supports all trans ideology, and has no problem with boys in girls bathrooms or stealing their sports titles
I called his office more than once

Just insane he’s in this position

Herrera looks to have forced a run off. The corporatist Dan Crenshaw who demanded Congress be allowed to trade stocks b/c ‘DC is expensive’ got trounced and eliminated no runoff. Paxton gets a head to head run off to hopefully defeat Cornyn.

I can’t believe the AK guy has not won in a landslide. The incumbent is a dirt bag and a RINO.

Remember voters: you don’t want to end up like Virginia or Minnezuela.

You can plan on Cooper the D winning the NC Senate race. He is well known and liked here and was also in charge of the Duke LaCross scandal investigation. The R is virtually unknown.
