NY High School Teacher Placed on Leave After Offering to Help Students Form TPUSA Chapter
““The district can confirm that a staff member has been placed on paid administrative leave while a matter is under review.”
These are the same people who will claim that Trump is a fascist.
The New York Post reports:
Outrage as NY teacher ousted after helping kids start a Turning Point USA club at high school
An upstate New York high school teacher was allegedly sidelined after she agreed to advise a Turning Point USA chapter on campus.
Jennifer Fasulo, a Spanish teacher at Charles W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, a Syracuse suburb, was placed on a paid leave of absence on Jan. 30, just weeks after she offered to help students establish a Club America, the high school division of the Charlie Kirk co-founded conservative group, her supporters say.
“The district can confirm that a staff member has been placed on paid administrative leave while a matter is under review. We are following established administrative and legal procedures, and we are unable to comment further or share additional details at this time,” the Baldwinsville Central School informed parents in a Feb. 10 letter.
Students rallied behind Fasulo, who they described in a petition demanding her return as a victim of spiritual and political discrimination.
“We believe no educator should be punished for their personal beliefs,” according to the appeal, which has more than 2,100 signatures as of Thursday.
“This teacher is being targeted not because of her performance, but for her political beliefs,” Club America President Jerry Dygert said at a Feb. 9 board meeting.
“Our club exists to promote political understanding through civil discourse, removing the one teacher who best embodies those values puts that mission in serious jeopardy,”
“My classmates and I are confused as to why she is not in class,” another student rushing to Fasulo’s defense said. “She extends her title as teacher and is considered a mentor. The wisdom and compassion that she gives to her students is unmatched.”
But some of the students’ woke parents who think otherwise want to see Fasulo out for good.
One described Turning Point as “terrifying,” because, according to their Facebook post, “the extremist mindset tends to affect boys and young men the most.”

This is black-letter fascism. The apparatchiks in the school district need to be outed and also placed on leave. Permanently, one would hope.
I’m not certain anything can be done, at this point, to help NYS.
Maybe (not bring back the draft – that’s so easily avoided by 2s and colleges for the mentally disabled) institute a marching “exercise” period (all kinds of weather) a half hour prior to lunch period; learning to follow orders and be a part of a team.
All coming, just you wait. Mamdani’s green berets are on order.

Right. Let’s stick to the current curriculum, so they can go trans and kill rooms full of grade-schoolers, like nature intended.
Did these school administrators even bother to find out what Turning Point USA stands for? Or just a knee-jerk reaction to anything that is on the right or conservative or takes religion seriously. They should be sued and then fired.
Everything the left does is a knee-jerk reaction. Facts never enter into the left’s “decision-making” process.
I graduated from C.W. Baker High School in 1970. At that time the STEM curriculum was outstanding and many in my class went on to attend top flight engineering and science colleges and universities. The English, foreign language, economics and history departments were also outstanding. Faculty (which included a higher percentage of males than is seen in today’s schools) ranged from combat veterans from WWII and Korea as well as immigrants from Europe who had experienced the Nazi rule and had lost relatives to the war as well as the concentration camps. The controversy and censorship described in the article would never have happened in those days. It makes me wonder if the academic excellence of my youth is still the case and sad to think that woke ideology has reduced the school system to mediocrity. As an aside, as soon as I earned my undergraduate degree I left “The Empire State: Land of Taxes” and the political domination of NYC corrupt politicians over the beautiful part of the state (somewhat condescendingly referred to as “upstate” by the “downstate” ruling class).
