Is Canada Becoming the Center of Organ Harvesting Tourism?
American man gets heart from Ontario patient who died via MAID program, and expansion of the program to include mentally ill is looming.
We have been sounding the alarm for quite some time about the disturbing direction Canadian medical advice has been heading for a number of years. For example, a Canadian Forces veteran was seeking treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and a traumatic brain injury when he was casually offered Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID).
Admittedly, the horror has to be overwhelming for socialists to complain. At the same time, the situation is deteriorating rapidly.
How could it be worse? Organ donation after the use of the MAID program has become increasingly common, making Canada a global leader in this particular area of…’medical care’.
To begin with, an American man in late-stage heart failure received the heart of a 38-year-old Canadian man with ALS who committed suicide through the MAID program earlier this year. This case is the first documented heart transplant performed using a donor who died under Canada’s euthanasia law.
Organs have been donated after MAID before, involving liver, kidney or lung transplants.
“Here we report the first case of a successful cardiac transplantation after MAID,” a team of doctors from The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and The Ottawa Hospital report in the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
The case involved a 59-year-old man with rapidly worsening heart failure who wasn’t expected to survive more than a month without a new heart.
…With organ donation after MAID, life-ending drugs usually must be administered in a hospital near an operating room because organs are recovered immediately after death is called. Time is of the essence to shorten the ischemic time — the elapsed time without blood flow to the organs before they can be transplanted into someone else.
“Death was declared within seven minutes of initiating the MAID protocol,” the team wrote.
Canada has crossed a horrifying line: turning assisted suicide into an organ donation pipeline.
Patients are being euthanized—then their organs harvested for others.
This is not compassion. It’s a medical-industrial supply chain of death. pic.twitter.com/eevPM8g6Qm

The trend lines indicate that “organ harvesting” is becoming more prevalent.
Since at least 235 people who died by MAID consented to organ donation in Canada, most commonly donating kidneys, livers, or lungs. Of 894 deceased donors in 2024, seven per cent (i.e., 62) donated after medically assisted suicide (per the ironically named “Canadian Institute of Health). A study reviewing the data between 2018 and 2022 showed a significant increase in MAID donors.
During the study period, MAiD donors represented 8.0% (64/803) of total deceased donors, increasing from 4.9% (8/164) in 2018 to 14.0% (24/171) in 2022.
There are many reasons to be concerned about these developments. Canadian officials promoted MAID to a man who had hearing loss. There is a move to make mental illness a potential condition of acceptance into this program.
At this point, Canadians have begun to push back.
Tamara Jansen, a member of Canada’s Parliament, can sense the growing momentum around legislation to stop the expansion of assisted suicide to those with mental illness.
On July 9 she held a press conference in Langley City, British Columbia, to raise the public profile of the Right to Recover Act, or Bill C-218, which she has introduced.
Since that event, “we are getting a lot of reaction online and through email,” Jansen, who as MP represents Cloverdale-Langley City, told The Catholic Register, Canada’s national Catholic newspaper based in Toronto.
Many tell her “they are shocked” there is a law in place to expand — as of March 17, 2027 — medical assistance in dying, known as MAiD, to individuals solely living with a mental illness.
I have to say, being the global leader in organ harvesting tourism is grim goal.
After Trump's tariffs, it appears Canada is trying to be a global leader on organ harvesting tourism. https://t.co/a42DQ4PHeo

I have real concerns that Canadian medical professionals and the bureaucrats in charge of the MAID program are shifting focus from expanding support and palliative options for the patients toward expedited organ retrieval to service foreigners who can pay.
DONATE
Donations tax deductible
to the full extent allowed by law.

Canada has so many Chinese, business as usual
Canadians are nuts
Canada has become the new China without the Taiwan threatening.
I have a hunch that Ezekiel Emanuel, MD, who is Rahm Emanuel’s brother and a key architect of the Affordable Care Act, would be thrilled at the possibility of introducing Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) to the United States if given the opportunity.
The evil, unethical, and immoral American progressives may shift their focus away from advocating for gender-affirming care once they realize the potential profits from organ harvesting and transplantation could create new funding sources for Democrat campaigns.
Rod Serling would have written a script for The Twilight Zone based upon this.
Protip: if your policy sounds like an episode of The Twilight Zone, it’s a bad policy.
I might also point out that this is a byproduct of a society that has turned its back on God. Corralling someone into committing suicide so you can harvest their organs dehumanizes that person to the level of livestock. Might as well have veterinarians remove the organs (no offense to vets, mind you).
Most college students think they believe that animals are equal in value to humans. Their professed belief is not the same as their lived actions, but they seem unaware of this.
This site takes a while.

Author Larry Niven had a series of short stories where harvesting organs was a big part of the world-building. People wanted extended life so bad they kept pushing the death penalty for milder and milder offenses; people who had themselves frozen before death in hopes a cure would be found for their illness were parted out under ever-expanding criteria. And, of course, there still weren’t enough organs to fill the demands, so in came the criminals — “organleggers”.
The “Gil the ARM” books. It’s 1970s era sciencr fiction, so some of its dated, but the moral questions sre more relevant than ever.
Just wait until Canadian patients undergo MAID without their consent. It is the next step.
The amount of money coming out of this will be so staggering that obtaining permission will be an obstacle that needs to be swatted away.
Then there is always the government- approved use of MAID to liquidate “bigots” (read: anyone who does not bow the knee to Communism)..
And the blackest irony here is that the original owner of the organs (or his estate) STILL does not receive compensation in any way for the “donation” of the body parts he owns in the first place, without which the entire industry would be impossible.
We are entering “Jigsaw Man” territory here. Except that the beneficiaries of this life support chain will not be the “average person” who is receiving them now for PR purposes (just as the beneficiaries of red flag laws are not “helpless families concerned about grandpa” but local cops looking to evade due process requirements) — they will be the political elite and their toadies, exactly as they are in the PRC.
So how does that work, exactly. Are they able to flush out the “life-ending drugs” given to patients to kill them from the organs that are then subsequently donated and transplanted into other people. Or do they simply hope that the concentration of those “life-ending drugs” isn’t great enough in the donated organ to do any harm to the patient receiving the organ. Would be interesting to see how Canadian doctors get around that.
They already do as coerced consent to MAID isn’t meaningful or legal consent to the procedure(s) involved. And make no mistake, coerced consent has happened in the past and will happen in the future.
How sure are we about the validity of any MAID consent, when the government profits from it?
Subotai Bahadur
as leftists the are in short supply of
balls
they can only harvest that by getting rid of their feminazie regime
It’s a business modeled after Planned Parenthood, and the natural evolution of “reproductive rights”. Conspiracy nuts still batting a thousand.
It’s a natural continuum from abortion to assisted suicide to murder.
I’d like to point out that using the passive term “died”
“performed using a donor who died under Canada’s euthanasia law.”
is incorrect. The term is KILLED, as this was a deliberate act by other people and the donor himself, presumably.
As usual, the satanic distort meaning to provide themselves with cover.
They always indignantly wave off the slippery slope argument just before they gleefully jump down the slide.
This is sickening to the nth degree. Falun Gong practitioners and Muslims from western China are main “candidates” for organ harvesting. Once the Judeo-Christian (and other life beliefs) decline, disappear, God is gone. The freedoms (including responsibility and accountability)l created under J-C faith and others willingly degrade us further.
If you’re unsure of these, search under Falun Gong, Chinese Muslims, organ harvesting. Frightening.
You can “fix” this by prohibiting organ donation for people who engage in physician assisted death. Remove the incentive to convince people to kill themselves so you can harvest their organs.
Would not be at all surprised if there were some similar scenarios where the families of people who have “organ donor” designation on their driver’s license are pressured/ coerced to have their loved ones declared “brain dead” in order to harvest their organs.
When society devalues life at its beginning, don’t be surprised when that devaluing extends to the other end of the spectrum, as well as any point in between.
Life is, in other words, a “seamless garment”, to (not) coin a phrase?
The system has to pay for itself somehow.
Why are the only people not receiving a benefit from organ donation the patient and their family? Not even burial assistance.
The surgical team that harvests organs gets thousands for each organ removed.
The surgical team that implants the organs gets thousands.
The hospitals get thousands.
The patients PAY thousands.
Healthy patients should not be able to commit suicide by surgeon either, even though it seams that is what MAID has become.
But in this stream of tens of thousands of dollars, couldn’t there be some benefit to the family. Even if it is as simple as a respectable funeral.
