Charlie Kirk’s Killer Shielded by Serial Leftist Agitator

The shocking murder of Charlie Kirk has revealed not only the evil of his assassin but also the depravity of those who sought to aid him. Among them is 71-year-old George Hodgson Zinn, a man with a long, sordid history of clashes with authorities, and now exposed for attempting to shield a killer.
According to newly filed documents, immediately after Kirk was shot at Utah Valley University, Zinn approached officers and began yelling:
“I shot him, now shoot me!”
Officers, unable to see a weapon, restrained him. Instead of helping law enforcement, Zinn repeatedly lied, claiming to be the shooter to give the real assassin time to escape. Police reported that when asked about the gun, he refused to answer. Later, he admitted his intent:

This was not an act of confusion or misjudgment. It was a deliberate attempt to obstruct justice and aid a murderer in fleeing.
Zinn’s record makes clear that this is no harmless eccentric. He has a decades-long history of political disruptions, arrests for trespassing, and even a chilling 2013 threat referencing the Boston Marathon bombing, where he asked if Salt Lake City Marathon organizers “needed anybody to help place bombs near the finish line.”. More recently, prosecutors also uncovered disturbing evidence of child pornography on his phone, including images of children as young as five.
That a man with such a vile past would rush to defend Kirk’s killer is telling. It demonstrates the utter moral bankruptcy of individuals like Zinn who see political violence not as a horror but as an opportunity to “be a martyr.”
Zinn’s behavior was not just reprehensible. It was evil. His willingness to aid an assassin should serve as a warning: the threats against conservative leaders like Charlie Kirk are not just from lone gunmen but from a culture of lawless enablers eager to help them.

They can’t until the Supreme Court overturns Kennedy v. Louisiana (2008, 5-4, authored by Kennedy), which held that it was cruel and unusual punishment to kill child rapists unless they also committed murder. If they do so, they should also overturn Coker v.Georgia (1977, White, 2-4-1-2, effectively 7-2 for this case and 6-3 for the general case) holding that the death penalty was cruel and unusual punishment for rape in general.
Nothing that is spelled out in the statuatory penalty should be considered unusual in that context.
The Democrat Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill asserts that Zinn is a not and a typical conservative/libertarian activist. Take it for what it is worth.

The SLC DA has yet to charge the leftist “defender”/ Antifa Militia member for shooting into a crowd at the June 14, 2025 ” No Kings” protest. That was my thought, too. He didn’t spontaneously think, “I should help this kind stranger who just made the world a better place. And in the process, maybe I’ll end up dead! That would be so much fun!”

It’s crazy. NY has the WORST murder statutes in the country. Where most states only require premeditation for 1st degree murder (and the potential for life w/o parole or death in some states), NY not only requires premeditation, but they also require an aggravating factor…like terrorism, for instance.
Ultimately, it probably won’t matter because the Feds have a couple different ways they can assert jurisdiction here and those ways come with a capital sentence.
The judge wouldn’t recognize terrorism if a masked Antifa type came into his courtroom with a lit Molotov cocktail. The Feds will charge him with it now.
Given that there seem to be indications of more than a little discussion between Tyler Robinson and others on the DISCORD site as to the mechanics of the shooting; my first instinct subject to real disproof is that an older Leftist who considers himself to be more expendable was planted there to cause just that distraction. As mentioned above, this is clearly a case of being an accessory after the fact, which should have formed sufficient grounds for his detention pending a hearing.

Every political party attracts its share of loons, often harmlessly disturbed. Libertarians attract many because of their reputation for out-of-the-box open-mindedness. Out where I live, we have a Republican loon who has appeared on every ballot in his district since I moved out here — in one case about six years ago, he actually appeared twice on the same ballot, for two separate offices.
The main distinction is that in the Democrat Party, the loons usually hold conventions (no applause, just snap) and get elected to offices (like Hogg).

Seems like one of the oddballs that, as you correctly point out, the libertarian party often attract. Its been my own experience that they usually are concerned with a single issue and want to shoehorn their pet peeve into the more open minded libertarian box. I call them faux libertarians b/c they don’t really care about the general libertarian philosophy just their own pet peeve. Some are corporatist (Koch Bros) looking to cut their own taxes, regulatory costs to include offshore of manufacturing costs to increase profits. Not that I am opposed to much of that but the offshoring… after all the commerce in Galt’s Gulch was self contained. Others are truly odd/evil basically everyone the GoP or d/prog used to kick to the curb ended up at the libertarian party door, though lately the d/prog have begun not just welcoming but promoting all sorts of oddball/evil ranging from the extreme of the alphabet mafia/Trannies, ‘furries’, racists, anti-Semitic, permanent dependency, reparations crowds, globalists, open borders loons.
