Omar Dismisses Conservative Grief for Charlie Kirk: ‘Full of St’**
“These people are full of sh*t and it’s important for us to call them out,”
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) wasted little time turning the shocking assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk into an opportunity to smear conservatives, unleashing a tirade on Thursday against his supporters and even the president.
During a streamed interview with former MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan, Omar mocked conservatives for pointing out political violence on the left.
“It reminds you that although these people pretend to be adults that they are sometimes, they think a lot less than even children do when it comes to compassion, when it comes to thoughtfulness, when it comes to being a leader. I did expect the president’s address to the nation would have been a lot more compassionate-filled, it would have been less partisan,” she said.
Omar specifically attacked President Trump’s remarks after Kirk’s killing, blasting him for calling the assassin a “left-wing lunatic.”
“He doesn’t even know who the assassin is. For him to say it’s a left-wing lunatic, it kind of denigrated his status and the status of the office he holds. What I do know for sure is that Charlie was someone who once said ‘guns save lives’ after a school shooting,” Omar declared.
She went further, dredging up old political debates to paint Kirk as a villain even in death.
“Charlie was someone who was willing to debate and downplay the death of George Floyd in the hands of Minneapolis police… have no regard, downplay slavery and what black people have gone through in this country by saying Juneteenth should never exist,” she claimed.
In perhaps her harshest words, Omar lumped Kirk’s allies in with what she called dangerous rhetoric.
“There is nothing more effed up than to completely pretend that his words and actions have not been recorded and in existence for the last decade or so. You have people like Nancy Mace who constantly harass people that she finds inferior and wants them not to exist in this country or ever, and you have people like Trump who has incited violence against people like me. And so, these people are full of sh*t and it’s important for us to call them out,” she said.
Even as she briefly acknowledged empathy for Kirk’s family, Omar reiterated her disdain for him personally.
Kirk was fatally shot on Wednesday during a speaking event at Utah Valley University. Authorities have identified the alleged assassin as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, now in custody.
While President Trump announced he will award Kirk a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom for his dedication to free speech and civil dialogue, Omar chose instead to disparage his legacy and attack those mourning his death.

9. Pass the ‘no Federal bailout of boondoggles’ bill that prohibits Federal govt from rescue of Cities, States who are profligate spenders. Add legislation requiring Public pensions be funded at 85% or be forced into receivership (to include the govt entity that failed to meet funding).
10. An Authorization for use of Force v designated terrorist organizations to include narcoterrorist with an 18 month limit. Congress can renew authority 18 months at a time. Allows wider latitude to use military but has a definite time limit so it expires unless Congress votes to renew it.
Pretty sure a few d/prog (not many but a few) would be in favor of more than one of those. While both 11 and 12 seem worthwhile to me they unfortunately ain’t 80/20. I’d prefer Congress take an intermediate step on just Federal elections to require those for Federal elections and have the DoJ continue to ramp up enforcement of voter registration list maintenance.

FYI there’s 16 crossover Congressional Districts. Ima explain this term to make sure you are on the same page since ’80/20 issue’ was giving you some trouble. Not trying to be condescending just trying to clarify terms.
A ‘crossover district’ is one where the DC voted one party for President but the other party for Representative in HoR. There’s currently total. 3 held by GoP Reps where the DC voted for Harris and 13 held by d/prog Rep where the CD voted for Trump.
All 16 of those CD are very much winnable by either party. The goal with 80/20 issues is to pressure the office holder to simply agree with the existing position held by 80% of the public and if they don’t build a record of that Congressman voting against 80% issues aka ‘common sense’.
Believe it or not almost every Congressman wants to be reelected or at least not voted out and deliberately going against their own constituents on 80/20 issues is good way to fumble re-election.
So the primary audience on 80/20 issues is the constituents of those 16 CD. The secondary audience is ‘purple’ State voters and the tertiary audience is the general public nationwide…all of whom will look poorly on the d/prog refusing to cooperate on ‘common sense’ 80/20 issues.
If some d/prog Congressman adds their vote …cool. If not, that’s ok too b/c it isn’t as if we’re gonna give up the moon to gain their vote just run up the score beyond minimum# to pass it. Either way they are on record and their constituents can see the results.

Trump did this in his first term only to suffer court action which ultimately backed him. We need a explicit and permanent ban on Muslims. Look at what’s happening in Europe, especially the UK. European governments have decided to surrender to Islam. Non-suicide gun deaths in the USA have run reasonably constantly from about 14,000/year (prior to George Floyd) to about 18,000/year (average so far) afterwards.
Incidents of self-defense using firearms are estimated to run between half a million to three million every year.
And those aren’t “gun-nut numbers” — they’re CDC numbers.

Almost all of what the left counts as “school shootings” are gang shootings. By the gangs they refuse to prosecute. By the ones that are basically arms of the government in the Blue Hells.
There are at least 120 million gun owners in the US. Ascribe every gun death to an individual shooter (to increase the number of killers) and do the math. The percentage of gun owners who kill people (incl. in legit self-defense) is so small a statistician would say it’s effectively zero.
“120 Million gun owners killed no one yesterday” is a headline we will never see, but it could run day in and day out and would be true.
It is true that guns save lives. But the stats you provide don’t in themselves prove it, because most of those half-million-to-three-million defensive uses did not prevent a murder but merely a robbery, rape, or lesser crime.
So the proper comparison is not to the number of murders (or “non-suicide homicides”) committed with guns but to the total number of crimes committed with guns, including those where the criminal merely brandished the gun, or pretended to have a gun.
The defensive uses still outnumber those, but by a smaller proportion than the one you got.
That’s one way to look at the stats. Unfortunately, when you start including all of the non-homicide gun crimes in the numerator, you suddenly lose track of the claim that “guns save lives.
I agree that the measurement in the denominator is unhappily vague, because it simply can’t be better quantified. (Believe me, if even the CDC couldn’t do it, it wasn’t because they didn’t want to.) You can’t say how a crime that didn’t happen would have ended up if it had.
But the solution isn’t to make both sides of the equation equally vague, there’s no way that improves the proof. It’s to make your own estimation of how much of the denominator represents an actual thwarted lethal incident. Or just to determine for yourself how many “saved lives” you believe it would take to justify “all those deaths” (10% more? Twice as many? Five times as many?) and then compute what fraction of that “millions” number would have to be lethal to accomplish it.
Then decide how probable easily attaining such a figure is,
