Mamdani Discourages Using ‘Globalize the Intifada’ But ‘Not the Idea Behind It’
The idea behind “globalize the intifada” is literally destroying Israel. What happens when you destroy Israel? You murder Jews.
Socialist Zohran Mamdani, the likely next mayor of New York City, told top New York business leaders he would discourage others from using the phrase “globalize the intifada.”
However, Mamdani won’t discourage the idea behind the phrase.
In other words, Mamdani won’t discourage people from trying to eliminate Israel and Jews.
It’s also hilarious knowing Mamdani, who doesn’t think billionaires should exist, cozied up to a bunch of them.
Globalize the Intifada

Many in attendance said they walked away impressed by the 33-year-old candidate’s ability to work a crowd but no more comfortable with his ideas.
“It could have been a lot worse,” one attendee said.
Pfizer Chief Executive Officer Albert Bourla and Robert Speyer, CEO of the real-estate firm Tishman Speyer, moderated the event, which also included questions from the audience.
Bourla, the son of Holocaust survivors, confronted Mamdani about the phrase “globalize the intifada,” which some see as a call for violence against Jews. In a response that lasted several minutes, Mamdani said that, for him, the phrase means protest against the Israeli occupation of Gaza.
Um, Israel hasn’t “occupied” Gaza since 2005.
Also, WSJ, we “see” the phrase “globalize the intifada” “as a call for violence against Jews” because it literally calls for violence against Jews.
As I said in my last piece on Mamdani:

You liquidate Jews.
“Globalize the intifada” is literally calling for the elimination of Jews.
These people are literally asking everyone around the world to take up arms against Israel and extinguish Jews.
I wonder if Mamdani will start using the word “evacuation” when talking about Israel. That’s what the Nazis did to disguise their intention to eliminate Jews. (Watch the brilliant movie Conspiracy on HBO. It came out in 2001, starring Kenneth Branagh and Stanley Tucci. It’s about the Wannsee Conference, where they finalized the Final Solution.)
Language is important. I majored in English, but law has enhanced my appreciation for language. One of the Nazis in the movie said, “[Law] has made me distrustful of language. A gun means what it says.”
I squirm when I hear that line because it’s true, which makes it all the more horrifying.
I interpret Mamdani’s comment as encouragement to find a new phrase to push the idea behind “globalize the intifada.”

Mamdani had no problem telling these successful business owners he wants to stick with his socialist ideas.

Asked about his intent to slap the ultra-wealthy and corporations, Mamdani told the executives that taxes had been raised on those groups in the past without it resulting in an exodus of high-earners from the Big Apple, the source said.
“He didn’t back away from any policy position, though he did so in a non-confrontational manner,” the attendee dished.
“It shows he’s a good politician. He was very confident.”
The slick Mamdani also distanced himself from his past use of the phrase “seizing the means of production,” a Marxist concept, but in a roundabout way, chalking it up to a rookie mistake, another business bigwig in attendance said.
“It was very frustrating,” the source said.
“He talks so much and says so little.”
Again, language. Language is so important.
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon did not attend the conference due to a scheduling conflict.
But even Dimon has called Mamdani a Marxist.
Mamdani wants to raise taxes on millionaires by 2% and on corporations by 4.5%. He wants government-owned grocery stores.
I guess NYC wants to go full socialist.

It’s a chuckle that Mamdani is such a noob that somebody had to take him aside and give him the memo about “the quiet part.”
Alternatively he may have thought the moment to say the quiet part out loud had arrived. IMO It is uncomfortably close to the point where such language not only won’t be a career ending event buy will be supported by a plurality or worse a majority of voters. We’ll find out soon in NYC.

If he was running for Mayor of River City, Middle America then I’d agree…but in NYC I doubt the d/prog nominee needs much ballot stuffing to win a Mayoral contest.

Does anyone else find it ironic that in the same article with the above statement the author felt the need to print “literally” in both bold and italics (three times) to emphasize that when he says “literally” he literally means “literally” rather than the ticktock generation interpretation of “literally” to literally mean “figuratively”?
Language matters, except in the modern age where we misuse it intentionally for purposes of hyperbole to the point where a word literally becomes meaningless.
