Washington School District Bans Males From Female Sports

Good. The state won’t back females. The school districts need to take charge.

Good. The liberals running Washington won’t stand up for females.

Females need the school districts to back them up.

Quilcene School District banned males from female sports. From The Leader:

Three board members — Shona Davis, Jim Hodgson and Ron Frantz — voted in favor of the resolution, while two — Viviann Kuehl and Jon Cooke — voted against it.

The resolution establishes that sports eligibility will be based solely upon the students’ sex assigned at birth, and that the board will review the resolution annually, “to ensure that it continues to comply with federal and Title IX that serves the best interest of all students.” It aligns with an executive order issued by President Donald Trump that asserts that eligibility for women’s sports should be based on biological sex, not gender identity.

The resolution states that it will take effect immediately and that the board will take the “necessary steps to implement the beliefs above.”

Legal counsel Curtis Leonard warned the board it could face litigation since the state law protects “gender identity and gender expression” under its discrimination laws since 2006.

In 2007, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) betrayed females when it did not pass two proposals:

  • Only females in female sports
  • Allow an open division for all interested students
  • The first one was one vote shy of passing with a 60% threshold, 31-23. One freaking vote.

This in no way infringes upon “gender identity” or “gender expression.” Everyone can continue to identify and express their identity to their hearts’ content. What they can’t do is force others to accept their identity or their expressions of it. If they (litteraly) want to “play ball,” nothing prevents them from doing so. Most male teams have actually been “open” for decades. Anyone who identifies as “female” can try out for any male team. The only “discrimination” there is that which derives from competition, just like on the ladies’ teams. It may not be “equitable,” but it’s fair.

Why should the boys have to deal with this either? Equal protection is equal protection. Create a third gender-neutral or “open” category.

Because they’re (the “trans girls”) are boys. If they belong on any team, they belong on a boys’ team.

But they don’t want to be boys. They want to be something else. It makes more sense to have a third category. Particularly since they can’t compete with the boys. That’s the whole thing here.

You have boys who come in dead last suddenly going “Boy I feel like a girl” and through the magic of labels suddenly they’re girls.

Let them keep the label, which keeps them off the boys’ team which they can’t compete in. Create a third category. It isn’t hard to do and it keeps everyone happy, boys, girls, and they/thems. Well maybe not the they/thems since there is a motive but it gives them a place to go.

Part of dealing with their feelings is realizing that they are in conflict with reality and no one else is required to pretend along with them. Parents and schools do a great disservice to these kids when they pander to a mental illness.

Why, in point of fact, should school districts assign scarce resources to accommodate these tiny groups of students?

In the first place, my observation has been that these are mainly loser boys who can’t compete with their peers, so they opt for the trans label to change their competition to girls.
It is no different from heavier boys wanting to compete with lighter weight kids in wrestling, or younger kids in youth baseball.

Even if they are truthfully suffering from the mental illness of gender dysphoria, heir feelz and their fantasies are not a reason that girls or younger kids should be sacrificed on the altar of genital worship (which is largely what this is; since it has to do with {imaginary} genitalia, the left worships the subject, as it does any perversion). THOSE kids require therapy, not coddling.

Agreed. Actual boys can play in boys’ sports, actual girls can play in girls’ sports and the ones who can’t figure it out can play in the open category.

Don’t worry. I’m sure a far leftist hack in a robe will slap a nationwide injunction on this by the end of the day.

It bugs the hell out of me that no one goes after big tech’s role in this for Washington State. Brad Smith and the legal teams for all of Wa’s big tech firms were pushing this crap. They signed a friend of the courts letter saying they would have a hard time attracting and retaining talent if the demented perv boys of their most mentally disturbed employees could not pee in the girls bathroom or change clothes in the girls locker room.

BRAD SMITH—- MSFT CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER proudly signed this freaking letter.
