WaPo Editors Admit Biden’s ‘Inner Circle Worked to Conceal His Decline’
Remember how the left and media trashed us for screaming elder abuse? Good times.
The Washington Post‘s editorial board attempted to lavish praise on Joe Biden in its recent piece.
However, the board admitted everyone saw Biden’s cognitive decline and his inner circle committed elder abuse:
The 81-year-old had shown signs of slipping for a long time, but his inner circle worked to conceal his decline.
Legal Insurrection started a “Biden Cognitive” tag back in 2020!
Oh, really. I thought everyone pointing out that Biden had cognitive issues was lying and terrible people.
We were awful people for accusing his family of elder abuse.
More insults flew when we suggested people like Jill and Hunter pushed Biden to run again and stay in the race for selfish reasons.
The White House described videos of a feeble Biden as “cheap fakes.” The media took the talking point and ran with it.
Oh my goodness, remember how the media flipped out when the special counsel described Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory?”
Of course, the media used those same videos as evidence against Biden after his awful debate performance.
Professor Jacobson called the media covering up the decline the greatest media scandal we’ve ever seen.
Fellow Democrats even brought up Biden’s decline in 2019-2020. MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell spoke out about him:
One of the earliest mainstream figures to raise serious questions about Biden’s cognitive decline was MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell immediately before the June, 2019 presidential debate. The long-time reporter, not exactly known as a Trump sympathizer to put that mildly, went on air amidst a series of rambling, incoherent Biden appearances and said: “the question is, does he still have his stuff? How sharp is he?,” prompting Chris Matthews to immediately understand her point and reply: “You know you’re answering the question with the question.”
It's not just the other candidates who think Biden's age/fitness are fair game. Here's MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell wondering if Biden is in possession of his full mental acuity. "How sharp is he?" pic.twitter.com/C5IYNXAZ6U

After the September 2019 debate, Cory Booker and Julián Castro also made comments about Biden:
One of the most explicit and direct attacks on Biden’s cognitive fitness to run for President and to serve came from Democratic Senator Cory Booker (now a Biden endorser). After a CNN presidential debate in September — in which Biden had bizarrely rambled about how the key to solving the problems in African-American communities was having parents play “the record player” for their children, and during which [Julián] Castro had pointedly accused Biden of having forgotten what he had said just moments earlier — Booker unflinchingly suggested Biden lacked the ability to endure the rigours of the campaign (the full Booker interview is here):
Lmao. Watch the video. Listen to the hoots from the audience. Then meditate upon how much less charitable and kind Mr. Trump is compared to Mr. Castro and tell me that isn’t a HUGE liability. pic.twitter.com/CRKJ4zdF6b

his decline was never going to be an issue unless and UNTIL they wanted it to be
the gop is in fact weak and ONLY TRUMP HAS REVIVED AN OPPOSING PARTY TO THE LEFT
and even trump has too many lefty policies BUT IS 10000% TIMES BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE to MAGA!
Only Trumper.
More like “never kamala.”
Anyone heard from Julio since? He learned a lesson in power politics. Cross The Cathedral at your own peril. They wanted Biden so the deep state could run everything and got him.
lefty has stated that living past the age of 75 is not a good idea
lefty has stated that being a “blob” in the womb means you should be destroyed
lefty sent senior citizens to their “showers” when given the chance during the DemVid 19 era
they will never stop being evil
In the history of concealment, nothing has been concealed less effectively the last three years than Joe Biden’s dementia has been.
It is easy to conceal things from people who don’t want to see.
Correct. They didn’t conceal it. They LIED about it and abused anyone who brought it up.
Nonsense! The Emperor’s New Clothes are simply gorgeous, and shut up!
The clapping seal media contributed to this wilful ignorance.
Look, I didn’t go to medical school and I’m certainly not a party insider but it was perfectly clear to me at least thirty years ago that Joe Biden possessed a room temperature IQ and that it was painfully obvious that dementia had taken hold during the 2020 election.
All else was gaslighting.
And the vast majority of people fell for the bullshit they were being fed.
Do they admit the WaPo editors worked to conceal Biden’s decline? That is the real problem.
It was the overall MSM that buried and hid the decline by never mentioning it again after 2019. So they are complicit too.
What’s there to admit? It was obvious to anyone who was paying attention all along. It just became too much of a problem when even the people who weren’t paying attention really started noticing and refused to ignore it.
Ignoring the problem would have been one thing, but denying its existence is completely different. The media could have remained silent, yet they decided to craft a narrative that ran counter to the observed reality. That’s usually called “lying,” and they have neither admitted they lied nor apologized for doing so. The fact that anyone noticed the truth does not excuse the lies.
It became a real problem when Trump made the following comment.
“I don’t what he was trying to say at the end, but I don’t think he did either.”
It only became a problem when the liars realized that Biden would lose.
C’mon man! He was just following in FDR’s footsteps, concealing a major disability from the American people. What’s the big deal?
More importantly than FDR, he followed Woodrow Wilson’s footsteps. For about the last year of his ‘presidency’, his wife issued the diktats from the White House.
FDR was never unable to make and express his decisions, wheelchair or not.
There will be no price to pay. If Harris wins, half the Biden staff will retain their positions and the media won’t have to make any adjustments. If Trump wins, the Biden staff goes on to university and think tank positions and the media continues to lie, but about Trump. No one loses a job let alone a career.
The half of the Biden staff that is actually the Obama staff.

I guess that “thrill that ran up his leg” when discussing Obama 16 years ago is now just a distant but fond memory for Mr. Matthews.
“They Worked to Conceal Biden’s Decline”
They worked! Ha ha ha. Typical woke phraseology. They didn’t work very hard because Biden’s mental decline is as a plain as the egg on your face.
They lied about it.
They denied it.
They spinned it.
But they didn’t do a very good job concealing it because everybody on earth is aware of Biden’s decline except for two Tutu’s who are out on a safari.
Professor Jacobson called the media covering up the decline the greatest media scandal we’ve ever seen.
He’s right, and it’s not JUST a media scandal – it’s a serious leadership scandal, in a government of, by and for the people. Concealing his incompetence is, in essence, substituting an unelected cabal for a functional President, without informing those who’ll be most damaged by said unaccountable incompetence – the citizens of the US.
I vote to terminate the careers of every member of that cabal, including the ‘news’ media.
The collective Left grows by politically exploiting the basest motivations of society, particularly envy, guilt and fear. They therefore seek to create conditions conducive to this, and whether they prevail this election cycle will be determined by how bad things have gotten, even if they caused it. Once upon a time I naively assumed that improved access to information would help vulnerable voters realize what they are doing and resist them more effectively, but sad fact is that wisdom requires individual effort, and relative prosperity promotes apathy. The progressives are connecting by convincing the intellectually lazy to let them do their thinking for them.
