Report: Trump Met Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle at RNC

I do not know if it happened before or after Sens. Marsha Blackburn and John Barrasso confronted Cheatle on Wednesday.

Fox News reported that former President Donald Trump met with Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle at the RNC.

The source described the Wednesday meeting as short.

I do not know if it happened before or after Sens. Marsha Blackburn and John Barrasso confronted Cheatle on Wednesday.

Blackburn and Barrasso told Cheatle that Trump deserves answers. Barrasso accused her of stonewalling:

“This was an assassination attempt, you owe the people answers, you owe President Trump answers,” Blackburn said.

In a separate longer video, the senators can be seen questioning Cheatle. In response to their questions, she says that it isn’t an appropriate place to have the discussion, but says she is happy to answer questions, before leaving the suite. It is at that point she is yelled at by the lawmakers.

In a statement in response to a query about the confrontation, the Secret Service said Cheatle is committed to transparency.

Let’s add Gina Haspel at CIA and Christopher Wray at FBI, to that list. I’m sure there’s at least a few hundred other names of subversive, fanatical Deep State partisans among top brass at DoD, CIA, FBI, the State Department and other agencies and departments, who can be added to the list.

It’s time to clean house in a Herculean way, Augean Stables-style.

Well, if Hercules were to do it then fedgov, based on a straight reading of the Constitution, would be 1/25th the size of today’s behemoth. The essence of the document is LIMITATION (see 10th Am.). Today, we have anything but limited government. And left to their imaginations, Ds want it even bigger.

It’s an absurd state of affairs, to be sure. The Leviathan of the federal bureaucracy and its arrogant apparatchiks, is totally out of control. A reckoning and downsizing is long overdue.

She will resign in November but she was right. That was not the place for an in depth discussion on what went on and I wonder what the hell she was doing there in the first place as she had to know what the reaction would be. Trying to provoke something?

She can talk to the media and do interviews but she won’t talk to Congress. Crazy

The Media is part of her command structure. Congress is just a nuisance to the Regime.

    Subotai Bahadur

hold her pay until she does ….
when bills come due … they come
due and companies dont care they turn your stuff OFF ….

She’s refusing to resign and stonewalling.

Enough of the Failure Theatre crap of getting a stupid video clip.

Issue subpoenas, force her under oath, impeach her. Make Democrats take a vote on the record to keep this DEI train wreck in place.

None of us are impressed at your stupid pointless video clip chasing her.

I do believe that we have recent history of the Executive Branch ignoring subpoenas, etc. with no ill effect to them.

That Cheatle guy really had gall to show up at the RNC. It’s amazing how these people can be complete and utter public failures but they refuse to resign (which anyone with even a shred of dignity would do, whether it was their fault or not) but not only that, this guy actually gs to the RNC, still play-acting as the director of the secret service. UNREAL.

Historic failure to accept responsibility, made more galling by the buck stops here claim.

If impeachment is available, it should be instituted without delay.

Resign or fired, it won’t make any difference if she’s gone. This incompetent regime would simply install someone just like her in her place. The only real change will come from a new Trump administration and mass firings across the bureaucratic spectrum.

She is incompetent with Trump’s security the same way Mayorkas is incompetent with the border

SField in reply to MarkS. | July 18, 2024 at 3:03 pm

If Trump wins, and I’m cautiously optimistic that he will, I hope he comes into office ready to clean house.

The rot goes deep, it won’t be an easy task.

      High marks for consistency, tho.

Just imagine if the parties were reversed and Biden was shot during a Trump administration and Secret Service director…

My wife made a similar point last night only she used Obama/Bush. Imagine if Bush’s USSS gets reports about a guy somewhere on the grounds with a long rifle, maybe even on a roof and 10-minutes later, without being able to locate him, they still allowed Obama to take the stage and the unthinkable happens? Cities would have burned.

If he said anything more to her than “You missed, bitch” then he gave her too much time

Cheatle was checking to make sure there weren’t any of those dangerous sloped roofs at the RNC convention hall.

Why is she at the convention? Duh… and one of the SSC..Secret Service Chicks was part of her security detail. Doubly dumb right now.

I have to feel sorry.. in a way… for the SS gal that has taken heat …. and the butt of jokes…. she is just a guppy out of water. Unless she is Wonder Woman and Annie Oakley… this is not the end of pool she should be in.

jakebizlaw in reply to alaskabob. | July 18, 2024 at 8:53 pm

I have it on good authority that she was assigned to money laundering investigations and had never been on a protective detail previously.

      diver64 in reply to jakebizlaw. | July 19, 2024 at 6:11 am

Maybe and I’m sure she excelled at that. Protective detail is not where she should be as there are plenty of other positions in the USSS that do not rely on body size.
