Just Stop Oil Protesters Spray Stonehenge With Orange Paint

Just Stop Oil Protesters Spray Stonehenge With Orange Paint

Two amazing bystanders fought back and tackled the idiots. HEROES.

God bless these two bystanders.

The heroes tackled the two idiots as they sprayed Stonehenge with orange paint.

The stupid group chose Stonehenge because tomorrow is the summer solstice. Many people make a pilgrimage to the historic site to celebrate the occasion.

Wiltshire police arrested two people.

Just Stop Oil said it vandalized the prehistoric stones to demand the government “end the extraction and burning of oil, gas and coal by 2030.”

Unfortunately, the video did not show the well-deserved ass kicking I was hoping to see.

If these misguided nut jobs actually succeed in their bid to stop fossil fuel use I wonder how they will do without all the products made from “fossil fuel” in their everyday lives. No more plastic means they will have to give up their iphones and most of their eyeglass frames. No asphalt paved streets, no nylon fabric, no plastic dashboards on their EVs……..

Just Stop Oil.

Sure. What will be used to lubricate sliding fits?

destroycommunism | June 19, 2024 at 11:17 am

oil = white man power ( they dont care about the arabs)

the afriamerican museum declared what and how white people traits were racist

the feminists declared any s ex between men and women to be r ape and “hid” that mantra for as long as the could but acted on that premise

now that socialism ( on the road to communism) is the normalized american way

the lefty sociopathic children are going to do what they want

I’m not a feminist, but I have read enough about feminist ideology to know that they do not all declare that “any sex between men and women to be rape.” You are delusional if you really believe this.

No he isn’t. I’ve heard radical feminists saying that for 50yrs

Hodge in reply to JR. | June 19, 2024 at 4:33 pm

JR – you need to read more.

“All sex is rape.” You have probably come across this quote. It is often attributed to the radical feminist Catharine MacKinnon, and it is usually held up as a reductio of the radicalist school of thought. Surely not all sex can be rape? The quote is, however, of dubious provenance. MacKinnon herself has denied ever saying it, and I have never seen a direct quote from her work confirming that she did. Nevertheless, there are aspects of her theory of sexuality that might be taken to endorse it, or something pretty close. It would take a long time to explain MacKinnon’s theory in full, but the gist of it is that women’s sexuality is shaped by patriarchal social structures. From an early age, women learn and internalise a certain understanding of their own sexuality and men learn and internalise a complementary understanding. Specifically, they learn that:

“Although MacKinnon has vociferously denied that her theory of sexual violence entails the claim that all heterosexual sex under patriarchal conditions is rape, one cannot find in her work a detailed, compelling articulation of how any given heterosexual interaction could sufficiently escape the pernicious effects of patriarchal structures. ”

      Read more feminists, Junior.
      They’ll straighten you out.

Milhouse in reply to JR. | June 19, 2024 at 9:21 pm

No, they don’t all declare that. Not all, and not even most. But some prominent ones certainly do.

Danny in reply to JR. | June 20, 2024 at 8:55 am

      They advocate

Both the male and female are drunk

While drunk they both want to have sex

      Again equally impaired

      They have sex

The next day the female who had sex is a rape victim and is permitted and strongly encouraged to press charges and have the male taken away for 25 years to life, and if he ever leaves prison he will be alone and ostracized by a society convinced he is a rapist, and it will only be by the grace of god if he isn’t raped by a gay guy given encouragement to do so from the police in prison.

If the female can’t consent why can the male (in exactly the same situation) consent?

This is not a fringe belief but what every high school student learns about consent and if you want to be a doctor or lawyer you relearn that in college today.

It furthermore goes back to the point I bring up in almost all of my points that if you do not want to use the government to advance our agenda of getting leftism out of schools, eliminate discrimination by corporations, and free the public square to once again be a place of freedom of speech you are surrendering.

henrybowman in reply to Danny. | June 20, 2024 at 10:39 pm

I am flabbergasted that you use the bulk of your post as some kind of justification for the last paragraph. It is not merely uncorrelated, it is in fact negatively correlated… in that the situation you describe exists entirely because the government was used to advance an agenda, and did so with its typical ham-handedness and mindless consistency.

BierceAmbrose in reply to JR. | June 21, 2024 at 12:57 am

“…they do not all (Emphasis added — ed.) declare that “any sex between men and women to be rape.””

“Feminist” and “Feminist Movement” are much entangled with factions spilling much ink explaining why *those folks* aren’t the real thing. Back in the day I read MacKinnon and Dworkin, who both went further afield than you’d get from their current Wikipedia pages.

Camille Paglia goes off on the factions of feminism from time to time.

And no one will fight back anywhere? Did you even read the article? People are fighting back.

“I know we’ll die from lack of oil derived products, but this feels so good!”

DeweyEyedMoonCalf | June 19, 2024 at 11:45 am

Monsters are real, but they look like people.

Anyone wanna bet the paint they were using was oil-based?

henrybowman in reply to ChrisPeters. | June 19, 2024 at 1:24 pm

I’m forming a new activist group dedicated to covering all these other activists in thick coats of red and orange paint. It’s called, “Just Stop Breathing.”

Winning the PR battle one heart and mind at a time. (S)

I suggest we.indulge their desire to bring attention to their unrealistic wokiesta cause at Stonehenge. Take these MFs into our care worldwide, keep them safe and at every full moon bring these sorts vandals who seem to desire a return to the stone age right back to Stonehenge to be sacrificed to their pagan utopian cause. It would definitely bring them and their pet causes the PR and worldwide attention they sought… if not in exactly the manner they wanted but 2/3 ain’t bad so no crying.

I don’t think the betas have the ability to stop a huge flywheel, filled with momentum.

Issue them toothbrushes, prison striped jumpsuits, an armed guard, and tell them to get to work.

Make sure it’s as embarrassing as possible and videoed for mass publication.

They’re getting bolder in their destruction because they face no consequences for their vandalism. It’s going to get much, MUCH worse before it gets better.

As mentioned previously, deny the sanctimonious pretend protectors of the environment ANY benefit of fossil fuel for 6 months, then call them back to attest to how much they missed it.

You think they coordinated this protest using their iPhones?
And drove way out there using cars?

After having watched the heroic and innovative method to convey their message, I am convinced that the two should be sentenced to live a life without the benefit of oil, oil products, and any products grown, cultivated, manufactured using petroleum oil based products.

Not paint. Powder that will wash away with rain. Environmentalists. Still wrong

Crawford in reply to Roberta. | June 20, 2024 at 10:07 am

It will damage the lichen protecting the surface of the stones, and likely stain them for along time.

We need to go medieval, no make that Bronze Age, on them.

BigRosieGreenbaum | June 19, 2024 at 1:34 pm

Ya know…we could paint the assholes orange and sacrifice them tomorrow just to make sure that we’ll get a good harvest.

We Yanks need to teach Britishers how to open field tackle. And how to properly deliver a forearm shiver.

These days one can’t be certain whether the vandals or the intervening bystanders were arrested.

It turns out this “environmental activists” destroyed lichen that is unique to the site. The organization should be fined/punished accordingly.

I don’t get it. People are going to show up to Stonehenge tomorrow for the solstice, see it painted orange and immediately think ” man, I’ve got to buy an electric car”? Or something?

How ridiculous! This brazen behavior has been toleratewd far too long. Put the vandals in prison. Throw away the key. Hold the group responsible for individual actions. That means arrest everyone you can catch. Jail time and steep fines. Period. No tolerance, period.

The really odd part of this video is that there are no park rangers/guards anywhere in sight. Last thing I remember is that people weren’t actually allowed to get that close to the monument, to prevent just this sort of thing, plus abnormal wear and tear.

    Crawford in reply to txvet2. | June 20, 2024 at 10:12 am

There are barriers — guide ropes — separating the stones from the designated paths, but I don’t recall any security or employees at the site itself. Doesn’t mean they weren’t there, but not in noticeable numbers.

I visited Stonehenge while on a geology field trip class in 1977. At that time they had a high metal fence circling it – unless you had professional or religious reasons no one was allowed any closer. I understand the current “fence” is a series of low posts with rope running from post to post. So as to not ruin the ambiance or photos I guess.

Any “activists” who attack a national heritage site like this or item like the Mona Lisa should get serious prison time. And if life was fair anti-oil folks would be prohibited from driving or riding in fossil fuel conveyances or heating or cooling their homes if any percentage of the energy is FF based.

Subotai Bahadur | June 19, 2024 at 6:54 pm

Noting that YHS is primarily of Chinese ancestry, although most assuredly not Chinese citizenship, I have to say that in the unlikely event I was a tourist in the Old Country and at either say the Great Wall or the Terracotta Soldiers at Chin Shih Huang-ti’s tomb and these enemies of mankind tried something like this there; if the security forces did not end their miserable existence I would be doing my best to end their existence myself.

Every part of humanity has a cultural heritage, and those combined heritages are part and parcel of the entire species.

Subotai Bahadur

It’s a good thing they didn’t spray orange paint on a Pride flag. The EU woke weenies would have a FIT!

Start putting them in prisons with no fossil fuel electric or gas. Give them raw vegetables, a thin blanket during the winter and no lights or windows in the cells.
Let them live without energy for a couple years.

E Howard Hunt | June 20, 2024 at 6:40 am

Salmon would have been more tasteful.

go real old school …
give them a wooden shovel
tell them to dig their own cell
12 hours…
wooden bucket for a toilet
horsehair blanket
raw veggies
whatever they dig put them init
and put iron bars over it … and there
ya go …..

I was reading a blog Stonehedge conservancy and advocacy group. Apparently, not only is it an Unesco site, but it’s also protected by the UK Monuments Act and, perhaps even worse legally for the perps, the stones themselves are protected by a number of environmental laws because they’re home to a few varieties of Lichen that are only found on those stones. They said the perpetrators should prepare themselves for a lengthy prison sentence.

The best way to “just stop oil” is offer a better alternative. Whaling collapsed in a couple years with the substitution of petroleum.

Have they said why they hate the whales so much?
