It Turns Out the Man Who Shot Three Palestinian Students in Vermont Supports Hamas

“the notion that Hamas is ‘evil’ for defending their state from occupation is absurd. They are owed a state. Pay up.”

When this shooting happened, it was immediately seized upon as proof of Islamophobia and Israel was blamed. It was a lie.

The Greatest Islamophobia Hoax in America Exposed

When three Arab Muslim students were shot and wounded in Burlington, Vermont, politicians and the media immediately hyped it as the ‘Islamophobic Crime of the Century’.

President Biden issued a statement declaring that “there is absolutely no place for violence or hate in America.” Vice President Kamala Harris’ statement bemoaned that “far too many people live with the fear that they could be targeted and attacked based on their beliefs or who they are”. The three Muslim men identified as ‘Palestinian’, two of them were wearing keffiyehs and Kamala, like many other leftists, was implying that the shooter was ‘anti-Palestinian’.

“The idea that three young men walking down the street get shot, perhaps because of no other reason than they are Palestinian, is unspeakable,” Sen. Bernie Sanders said. ”But I gotta tell you, this is not just a local phenomenon, this is happening all over the country.”

Then he blasted Israel.

“I’m heartbroken by yesterday’s senseless shooting of three Palestinian-American students visiting Burlington. We do not tolerate hate or Islamophobia in Vermont,” Sen Peter Welch tweeted.

“I do want to be clear that there is no question this was a hateful act,” Sarah George, the local State’s Attorney, claimed without evidence.

“In this charged moment, no one can look at this incident and not suspect that it may have been a hate-motivated crime,” Burlington Police Chief Jon Murad argued.

Anti-Israel groups convened a rally calling for the destruction of Israel…

Eaton had been described as “that hippie guy” and “progressive”, an organic farmer who had posted a meme with a definition of “Amerika” that called it “the worst sense of the United States, ie imperialism, corruption and the global exportation of American culture.”

He appeared to be a Biden supporter

Media outlets, anti-Israel activists and politicians attributed the shootings to the Hamas war. Everyone from Biden and Kamala on down emphasized the “Palestinian” identities of those shot and implied that Eaton had attacked them because he was opposed to the ‘Palestinian’ cause.

In reality, Eaton supported Hamas.

On December 6, Seven Days, a local news outlet known for breaking stories about local politics, revealed that Eaton had tweeted, “the notion that Hamas is ‘evil’ for defending their state from occupation is absurd. They are owed a state. Pay up.”

Responding to an article about a proposed ceasefire, he wrote, “What if someone occupied your country? Wouldn’t you fight them?”

Dumb. Just dumb.

Lefties in circular firing squad.

Just like the 500 killed in the hospital strike from Israeli-fired rockets. Turned out to be a couple killed from a wayward Hamas-fired rocket. The Media seldom apologizes for its mistakes.

They are owed a state.

No, they aren’t. Muslims lost their war to steal that land from the Jews, so if the historic rules of Western war are applied they should be expelled from it. If one were to hold the Muslims to their own rules of war they should have been ruthlessly exterminated.

I think this guy may have been taken in by the myth that Israel was created by UN GA resolution 181, adopted on Nov-29-1947. And since that resolution called for an Arab state as well, if Israel is to claim legitimacy then the rest of the resolution must be honored as well. This is also the basis for the claim that most of Israel’s territory is “stolen”, because the boundary proposed by Resolution 181 gave most of that territory to the proposed Arab state.

Unfortunately for those pushing this idea, it’s a total myth. Israel was not created by any UN resolution. 181 was a General Assembly resolution, and the GA has no power to create states, or to do much of anything else. It’s purely a debating club, and its only real function is electing the ten rotating members of the Security Council, and the Secretary General.

181 was nothing more than a proposal to the two warring sides. The General Assembly suggested a deal both sides could agree to to end the war; the Jews very reluctantly agreed but the Arabs didn’t, so the deal was off and never happened. And once the Jews’ position improved and Israel was established the deal was obviously off the table.

Israel was created by its citizens’ declaration of independence, not by any UN resolution. And it derives its legitimacy from that declaration. The Arab cause never had any legitimacy and still has none.

This story, when it first broke, seemed so completely cray/unusual/unlikely.

Many examples of husband shooting wife to death, then giving himself a nonlethal gunshot. In order to have some kind of possibly-believable story for the police.

Today, everything’s a tv show, and Perceived Victimhood is so valuable in the Public Debate — so it would seem inevitable that there will only be more and more of these kinds of almost-impossible-to-prove/disprove scenarios.

(By the way, opioid-addicted individuals have long been known to give themselves one or more self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Why? In order to be able to plausibly claim chronic pain for years and years — ie, thereby justifying MD-authorized long term supply of opioid prescriptions.)

Another “Fake Noose” job… apparently.

Not sure if it’s true or not, but I heard that they were wearing some sort of traditional scarves that resembled Jewish prayer shawls. So this may have actually been a mistaken identify anti-Jewish incident.

No. It was dark, and there was no way for the shooter to know whom he was shooting or what they looked like. He was just a crazy person shooting at whoever was walking in the street; it was just their bad luck that it happened to be them.

But you don’t know that for sure. We can’t assume it was a random shot in the dark at unknowns. He could have seen them minutes earlier under something like a street light and then followed them. Hope we find out, either way.

… “the notion that Hamas is ‘evil’ for defending their state from occupation is absurd. They are owed a state. Pay up.”

Yeah, right. Let’s look at that from another direction: The notion that Israel is “evil” for defending their state from invasion by murderous savages is absurd. They should be left alone. Straighten up.
.

After the horrors of the Franco-Prussian War (1871) and WWI (1914) and WWII (1939),

the world decided that “Hey maybe it isn’t a very good idea for these folks to have their own sovereign state.”

And guess what happened — no more wars that I’m aware of, from those descended from Prussians

(No one has ever been accused of Prussian-o-phobia.)
