After Male Students Protested To Protect Female Classmates, Pennsylvania High School Nixes Transgender Bathroom Policy
New policy requires students to use facilities based on biological sex. Father whose daughter allegedly had to share the bathroom with a boy says last month’s student walkout pushed the school to reverse the policy.
From how some school boards push for trans rights, you’d think “girls don’t mind” when a boy shows up in their bathroom. They just come to see him as “one of the girls.”
But in Pennsylvania’s Perkiomen Valley School District, kids were pretty upset when they learned their school allowed boys in the girls’ bathroom. Not long ago, a transgender teen entered the girls’ restroom in a Loudon County high school to assault a female student there, in a story that made national news. In the Perkiomen Valley district, girls understandably felt threatened. They expected the adults on the school board to protect them.
And when those adults failed to do so at a meeting this past September, students took matters into their own hands and organized a walkout in protest.
It worked. After weeks of public pressure from both parents and students, on Monday, the school passed a policy requiring students to use bathrooms based on their actual biological gender, not the gender they identify with.
Parents’ rights advocates cheered the vote as a victory in a battle led by the students themselves. It’s a “win for reality and a win for the girls who will no longer have to share their bathrooms with biological males!” Gays Against Groomers tweeted/posted:
And Tim Jagger, the parent who kicked off the protest over the prior policy after his daughter allegedly encountered a boy in the girls’ bathroom, told Fox News the students’ role in getting the school board’s vote was “huge.”
Of course, not everyone cheered. Trans rights advocates like Ashli Giles-Perkins, attorney for the Education Law Center, clutched their pearls. She told The Philadelphia Inquirer :
She is “appalled that districts like Perkiomen Valley have adopted discriminatory policies aimed squarely at trans and nonbinary students.”
Giles-Perkins called on the district to reverse its policy and also urged the Pennsylvania Department of Education to issue “long-overdue guidance that reflects federal guidelines to protect, not cause additional harm to, transgender and nonbinary youth.”
It’s not clear what that “harm” is, though. As one of the school board members explained to WFMZ News, the new policy strikes a compromise by opening up previously unavailable teachers’ bathrooms to students. These “single-user” facilities can be locked and used by “any student who has a need or desire for increased privacy, regardless of the underlying reason” under the new rules. So now there are actually more single-use bathrooms for trans students—and they are open to all.
As one of the policy’s supporters at the meeting urged the school board: “We need to come together again for the kids … There’s a commonsense solution on the table, and that is for transgender students to use the single-stall bathrooms. This does the greatest good for the greatest number for the longest amount of time.”

Yeah some of the feminists make it confusing. ‘Men must not approach women’, fake#metoo stories, ‘I don’t need men’, ‘all men are trash’. This is entitled and narcissistic attitude is very pervasive out in the dating marketplace.
Prudent men decided the Heck with this situation, it isn’t worth the risk or the hassle and just stopped dealing with them. Now the feminists complain that men won’t flirt at work or interact socially with female co-workers after work. That men no longer cold approach women to strike up a conversation. Won’t interact with with dreaded ‘gym girls’ and don’t help out women they’ve never met anymore.
It’s the Scott Adams approach, yet again.
The other thing that’s great about single-stall bathrooms is first-come-first-served, no unreasonable lines outside the women’s room. Single-stall toilets and showers increase the popularity of RV campgrounds.

Kids who want to claim they’re trans should have to go to their own little school, serviced by their own short bus.
Mainstreaming was a disastrous concept. My nephew had to go through elementary school with a nutcase who would throw fits every day in class and bring learning to a halt. But the school refused to do anything about this kid, who was seriously screwed up, because they were trying to “mainstream” him into normal society. All they did was a more of a fool and joke of the kid than he already was but ruined years of schooling for many others.
If a kid wants to claim he’s a giraffe, good for him. But he has to go to a special school with other kids who think they are the opposite sex, or some new sex, or farm animals, or whatever. Keep the loonies together and let them just deal with each other. Let normal society live and flourish.

A bunch of studies came out that including students with learning disabilities and other mental challenges, including behavior problems benefit from being in the mainstream classroom over being isolated.
NO ONE bothers to measure the effect that the disruptive behaviors of these kids have on learning in the classroom for others who aren’t able to reach their potential and are held back by all of the distractions and sometimes physical threats.
It’s all about placating the one loud parent on what they need for “muh speshul child”.
Every time I found a school that had “enrichment programs for fast learners,” they evaporated after no more than two years, tops. They always needed the money to accommodate the boat anchors who were dragging the rest of the class to a halt.

BTW in the name of insanity, there’s a local black 2nd grade teacher who identifies as a mermaid….no lie. She doesn’t just cosplay like a mermaid…she definitively expect everyone to treat her as a mermaid.

Changing *all* the bathrooms to single use is the obvious solution to this issue. Yes it will initially cost money as more bathrooms will be needed to meet the normal demand, but it will be well worth the cost to avoid the inevitable conflict when a school board chooses either of the current options.
And I imagine it might solve some other issues that occur in school bathrooms as well.
The obvious solution is to tell the tyranny weirdos to pound sand. We.should not acknowledge any ‘right’ or expectation that the wider society, it’s institutions or the public at large must unwillingly participate in their cosplay fantasies. Not for restrooms or anything else.

As for the bathroom issue, the notion of re-architecting the facilities is absurd. The rule should be: biological women use the ladies room, all others use the men’s room.
