‘Birdbrain’: Donald Trump Takes Aim at Nikki Haley After GOP Debate, New Hampshire Poll
“MAGA, or I, will never go for Birdbrain Nikki Haley. No loyalty, plenty of lies! … Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job”
After the first GOP presidential debate in August, there was talk among the pundit/media class about how former Trump ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley had her “moment” on the stage where she “stole the show” at a time when all eyes were on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to see how he would perform.
Earlier this month, ABC News talked about Haley’s “boost in polling” after the first debate and how she’d had some “encouraging signs of gathering momentum.”
We heard more of the same after the second debate earlier this week, with Politico for instance declaring in one piece that “only former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley brought the oppo research receipts.”
In another, they wrote about how Haley had caught a “post-debate spark,” with “mainstream mega-donors”:
‘There isn't a mainstream mega-donor now not looking at Nikki’: Haley catches post-debate spark – POLITICO https://t.co/CHXLY9Uewa
— Josh Kraushaar (@JoshKraushaar) September 30, 2023
No doubt with all of that in mind and the fact Haley has moved into second place behind her former boss in one New Hampshire primary poll, Donald Trump has started attacking Haley, calling her “birdbrain” in Truth Social posts on Thursday and Friday and proclaiming she has “no loyalty” nor “the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job”:
MAGA, or I, will never go for Birdbrain Nikki Haley. No loyalty, plenty of lies! “I will never run against our great President,” she said,“he has done an outstanding job.” To which I responded,“How nice of you to say, Nikki,” knowing full well that her words mean nothing. She even came to Mar-a-Lago with her family, “bearing gifts.” Anyway, Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
On the day of the second debate, the Trump campaign issued their talking points on “the real Nikki Haley.” The day after the second debate, here’s what Trump wrote:
I’m up 56 Points, so the Debates would seem to be a complete waste of time. I’m also up 10 on Crooked Joe! What is the RNC doing? They should be fighting against Election Interference & the Pennsylvania Voter Registration Scam. The Debates should be ENDED, BAD for the Republican Party! I was in Michigan last night with Autoworkers & others. Watched Debate = REPORT CARD: Doug Burgum did a very good job, solid & smart! Sloppy Chris Christie was a DISASTER, A TRUMP DERANGED LUNATIC! Nikki “Birdbrain” Haley was exposed for her caustic DISLOYALTY & LIES about the Republican Party, and me. Doesn’t have what it takes, NEVER DID! Lyin’ Mike Pence has lost a lot of his energy. Very flat, needs me badly! Actually, quite sad to watch, but he’ll get better. Too much J-6! Tim Scott stepped it up. Wonderful guy. Looking forward to getting his Endorsement! Vivek said I was a great President. Thank you. Good Job! Ron DeSanctimonious had a bad night. He can feel the end is near. Dropping like a rock!
In another, he posted:
Birdbrain: “I would not run if President Trump ran.” April 12, 2021
Haley’s response, posted to Twitter/X, was to suggest Trump was now focusing on her because she was allegedly closing in on his lead:
Love this. It means we are in 2nd and moving up fast.
Bring it! 👊🏽🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/wsE1PkawBh
— Nikki Haley (@NikkiHaley) September 29, 2023
Trump’s attacks on Haley’s “loyalty” echo a similar theme to his swipes at DeSantis, with the point behind them being to suggest by not stepping aside to allow Trump to become the nominee without a primary battle after all he allegedly did for them that they don’t deserve support.
But the Trump/Haley political story is quite different from the Trump/DeSantis one.
Unlike Trump and DeSantis, who until late 2022 largely got along and endorsed each other’s respective campaigns in 2018 and 2020, Haley’s and Trump’s history has been a roller coaster.
Haley campaigned vigorously against Trump in 2016 until he became the GOP nominee, after which she reluctantly supported him. Not long after Trump won the election, he nominated her to be his United Nations ambassador, a post she stayed in until December 2018. She endorsed him in 2020 after speculation that she would run against him.
After the Capitol riot, though, Haley seemingly moved on from Trump for good, although she made some contradictory statements that same year about him and his record as president.
I think Haley in some ways could be described as a transactional politician, moving on from/distancing herself from people once she feels she no longer needs them to advance politically. My guess is that’s one of the things Trump doesn’t like about her, perhaps because she reminds him somewhat of himself.
In my view, he’s the very definition of a transactional politician, bringing people on to serve a purpose and then discarding them from his political orbit when he deems them to be insufficiently “loyal” or having made him look bad in some way. It’s not a criticism; it’s just a statement of fact based on actions Trump took in office and statements he’s made since he left it.
As for that infamous “loyalty” argument, considering Trump himself is not a particularly loyal person it’s hard to see this argument carrying much weight beyond the MAGA faithful. If anything, it should be a turnoff, because last I checked, in this country we are supposed to choose our presidential nominees at the ballot box, not coronate them.

So, Haley is a “birdbrain”. Who will he call a “doo-doo head”?
Mr. Trump: grow up. This is the real world, not the playground of whatever good-family private school you attended when you were 6.
Interesting bit of democratesque class warfare nonsense you insert in your own childish insult. Makes me wonder what party you really support.
As always, anyone who dares to point out any defect in Trump becomes suspect of their loyalty to America and the Republican party. Trump has himself dumped anyone who has shown any disloyalty to him. The last and worst example was Kayleigh McEnany who read a poll on FNC. All she did was read the poll. It wasn’t her opinion but reading the teleprompter data. Trump went ballistic and called her all kinds of names. It was like a little kid on the playground who wanted to get on the swing but had to wait his turn.
A nice dishonest bit of deflection there that completely ignores the substances of my comment and degenerates into yet another tirade against President Trump supporters. Kind of pathetic.
You are the one who called Grizzly guilty of class warfare. I merely showed where you get it from. A difference of opinion does not make one a traitor or anything else. It just means that they disagree with your statement. You magas simply cannot abide people saying that Trump is not their first choice.
I pointed out he was playing democrat class warfare based on his childish insult that employed democrat class warfare jargon. Your response about an FNC poll (that frankly I never heard of by the way) makes no sense and was just an excuse to make another deranged Never Trump comparison. Nevertrumpism can really damage the mind. Go play elsewhere.
I find your demand that anyone who doesn’t worship at the altar of Trump go elsewhere beyond laughable. And completely out of line. If you want Trump worship, there ARE sites for that, but they are elsewhere. Maybe look into it yourself and think about playing there?
That level of Strawman dishonesty would embarrass even Obama. My comment in no way expresses or implies a demand that people “worship at the altar of Trump.” My comment does point out the obnoxious class warfare rhetoric employed pretty exclusively by democrats or their supporters. Only in the fevered derangement of Never-Trumpism could anyone come to your conclusions.
I don’t care what you were pointing out or trying to say, to be honest. You were the one who told one of our readers to go elsewhere, you were the one attempting to “cancel” someone. And you (quite obviously) have no right to tell anyone here to go elsewhere, and if you think you do and say it, you will be the one asked to leave. Nothing hard or confusing about that, right?
The above would normally suffice but your comment to go “elsewhere” really merits some response. Your attitude reflects the worst of the woke censorship/cancellation culture that has poisoned social media. In fact, if these are really your views, I think that you should step down as an editor on this site. Your views reflect poorly on this entire blog.
“This is the real world, not the playground of whatever good-family private school you attended when you were 6.”
This is what Concise it taking umbrage at.
It has nothing to do with Trump and everything with using leftist class warfare rhetoric.
It is not very revealing that it was used –we’re all steeped in such sewage.
It IS extremely revealing who sweeps in to DEFEND that use.
But, sadly, not unexpected.
I was taking umbrage at Concise having the gall to tell one of our readers to go elsewhere. Particularly when preceding that directive with some comment about “deranged Never Trumpers.” I was simply pointing out that there are plenty of pro-Trump sites he will feel more comfortable since we are not that. He can go there and tell all the “deranged Never Trumpers” he wants to leave, I’m sure they won’t mind. We do mind. A lot.
What would be really interesting is to list all the insults and mean tweets that have been thrown at Trump over the past few years.
I suspect that in a comprehensive comparison it is probable that his opponents have launched far more insults that are both more repugnant and even more childish.
As an example I did not watch the GOP debate but saw a clip of the former NJ Gov and AG want to be in the Trump administration refer to Trump as Donald Duck. Really high brow stuff, could star in a remake of Duck Soup.
Excuse, excuses, and more excuses. I would expect an adult, especially one running for the presidential nominatio, to act like an effing adult. Not as a petulant child hurling kindergarten playground insults at the people that are mean to him.
I agree. That’s why Christie should get lost….join MSNBC where he is beloved now, and leave the rest of us the hell alone.
>>Mr. Trump: grow up<<
Won't happen. Kindergarten playground insults. That's about as good as Little Donnie will get this time around.
At least he injects humor into politics. Rather that than people who take themselves too seriously while explaining why we need to spend trillions on nonsense
Nope. See no humor coming from Trump. Very tiresome, childish, kindergarten playground insults, yes. But humor? I just don’t see it.
Wit is wasted on fools.
“DeSanctimonious” was so forced. So “I’m so clever”.
Maybe you could suggest some witty class warfare jabs that would really do the trick?
Ronald Reagan knew how to insert humor into his speeches without insulting his enemies. Trump hasn’t a clue.
Reagan also had an “Eleventh Commandment,” which declared, “Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican”.
2024 should have been so east. Yet Sr have birdbrains whose hatred for Trump is so great they had to make 2024 so hard.
That’s a great characterization! Professional quality naming.
Trump has a Don Rickles sense of humor. Take it that way.
Rickles was actually a nice guy too.
Did Don Rickes also lose women by almost 13-points in his last election? Whatever you think of Nikki Haley – and I don’t think much of her at all – when you’re a candidate for President, you cannot call people names and expect to enjoy some appeal amongst women. But, you REALLY can’t call females names like ‘birdbrain’ and expect to do well enough with that key, most important demographic, to win a national election.
President Trumps did NOT lose the election amd won’t be losing it to “move the confederate statues “ birdbrain
No one said he was going to lose to Nikki Haley, retard. Learn to read.
That’s not very PC of you using the “R” word. It offends people. Be best.
This is sarcasm, right?
Funny how the NeverTrumpers never tire of deriding President Trump’s rhetoric yet they constantly disgrace themselves as the most classless and stupid group of commentators ever to disgrace a comments page. And still pat themselves on the back for their superiority. I guess we can add clueless to the stupid and classless parts above.
Earth to gonzo. Come in gonzo. Do you read me gonzo?
If these women you refer to are the same women who rabidly want abortion on demand anytime, then they’ll probably always support the pro-abortion democrat.
Women represent 52% to 53% of the electorate. No one can lose them by 13-ponts and still have any real chance of winning a presidential election. Trump did 3-points worse with women against Biden as he did against Clinton and he did 9-points worse against women than George Bush did when he won the popular vote in 2004.
If Trump continues to alienate women, not only is he going to lose, but he’ll lose so decisively that he’ll bring down other Republicans on the same ballot who might have otherwise won. Trump is insulting someone who can’t beat him because he simply has no self-control.
A whole lot of women also do the budgeting and grocery shopping for their families. The hurt under Brandon is real. In 2020 it hadn’t hit yet
In some brain damaged democrat jurisdictions what you say may be true, don’t know. But in other areas of the country, I don’t think this percentage would be accurate, assuming of course there is an honest and fair election
You are preaching to the zombies because their eyes are covered with Trump stickers. Ronald Reagan knew how to tell a funny story and poke mild fun at his opponents but he knew where to draw the line. Trump doesn’t know and doesn’t care.
Ronald Reagan had a different set of opponents.
He wasn’t being betrayed by his own party.
No, Don Rickles actually had some class and his jokes were funny. Little Donnie just comes off as a petulant whiny child with his kindergarten playground insults towards others.
The deep state can’t survive Don Rickles.
The Deep State managed to survive Little Donnie Trump. Never did seem to be able to drain the swamp as he promised. Didn’t even come close.
Not with his “excellent “ cabinet appointments. Not as bad as Biden, but he had some real clunkers.
I liked Rickles but he would be a dead duck in this world today.
I really liked Michael Royko, Chicago Syndicated sarcastic opinion writer. I talked to him many times and went to see him in person twice. He was just as pithy in person.
For me, Haley lost whatever appeal she may have had when she caved on the Confederate statue issue.
Just another pol who can’t form an opinion without first seeing which way they think the wind is blowing.
I agree with you on Haley, NP. However, it would be more helpful if DJT would try to aim higher and make an effort to provide some substance in his responses. Your example of the Confederate statue issue is good, and would have been an improvement. Maybe DJT’ should run his knee-jerk remarks past you before he blurts them out. It would definitely benefit him.
I am in total agreement. Haley took down the Stars and Bars and set the stage for the destruction of our memorials to men that we feel were fighting for freedom. Freedom lost and we have been in a sad state of affairs every sense. She has pooped on a whole section of the US and we should not vote for her.
It wasn’t part of her own history so it meant nothing to her. Every time I see the Confederate battle flag it makes me feel proud and yet the left has turned it into a racist symbol that it never was. It is now a symbol of hate and racism but like any wartime battle flag, was for the men fighting not the politics or politicians of the time.
It is not part of my personal history, but it is an important part of our collective history. She didn’t see that, and that makes her a bird brain.
Took the words off my keyboard. She caved.. and she panders.. I guess she is really like every other politician. Stacey used the term transactional.. Makes so much sense.
That and the Flag outside her Statehouse. Combine that with her wanting to continue pouring billions into Ukraine and she is just a better looking Cathedral RINO. Tulsi is better looking and I don’t agree with much of her views on issues but you never have to wonder where she stands or if she has the courage of her convictions.
Really wish he would stop attacking people who have no shot at beating him to the nomination, like anyone who is a Republican.
Go after those who are after you and the country.
They are all after President Trump
No, they are all after Biden and so is Trump.
No they are not all after Biden. The GOPe team headed by the Bush clan joined the Biden administration to try to remove Paxton as AG in Texas. As is the case with Trump the GOPe is united with the Democrats to prevent Trump’s election.
Team Biden wants him out as he fights their open border and ballot stuffing policies.
They get power as the Dems only need 10 state senators to join them to elect a Dem coop speaker. Since a liberal dem pac in Texas can use their money to elect or defeat many GOP candidates it is easy to find 10 willing to play ball.
Team Bush wanted Jeb’s son as AG. He got trounced in the election so they were happy to help orchestrate an impeachment that turned out to have zero evidence to the charges they levied. Interestingly the impeachment was helped by 2 attorneys sent by the Biden DOJ and a top Bush attorney for US attorney (who witnesses said had done work for them for 3 years and they have never gotten an invoice and as far as they know he is working for free). Just as likely as Joe never discussing business with Hunter.
I guess you missed the coordinated federal and state lawfare directed at President Trump. Preceded by malicious federal investigations and meritless impeachments. Try to imagine just for a second, that you aren’t a NeverTrumper and try thinking. Thinking is important.
He is competing in the GoP primary which is a competition to see who can convince enough voters they are the best choice among the other candidates to be selected as the GoP nominee so yeah…for now until Trump or someone else gains enough earned delegates to end the competition beyond mathematical possibility of someone else winning the primary contest …the people competing against each other will continue to be temporarily ‘against’ each other.
After the nominee has been selected then we all bury the hatchet, put aside bruised egos or hurt feelings and get to work in a united effort to keep a d/prog out the WH and get nominee’s hands on the levers of Executive Power.
TY.. but Trump, or rather the repercussions to Trump, broke the norms. They never put aside hurt feelz for him after 2016.. But,, I admire your optimism.
Did you mean ‘they’ as in those ‘who didn’t put away their hurt feelings after 2016’ as in the not so influential anymore cruise ship refugees and weirdos from the Lincoln Project? If so then you are 100% correct, those grifters are never Trump goons who are still mad that Trump ignored them and didn’t let them play in his sandbox when he was a candidate or upon taking office.
If you mean those of us not in the only Trump camp then you are incorrect in very large part. The overwhelming majority of us will vote for the nominee whomever it selected to include Trump, just as we voted for and supported his candidacy twice before.
Frankly the only real GoP voters I worry about not supporting the nominee are some of those in the only Trump camp who have already said they wouldn’t vote for anyone but Trump. I still think this a much smaller % of GoP voters and instead a far larger % of wishy washy folks who jumped on the Trump bandwagon. The pseudo Indy voters who don’t register as GoP, contribute $ to their candidates or put in volunteer hours for GoP candidates but seem to insist upon telling reliably consistent GoP voters of many decades they must vote for Trump or the world will end.
Do you really think after seeing all of the DeSantis hate here that any maga will vote for him or any other R nominee if Trump isn’t it? We have a little over one year to vote and if something happens to Trump where does that leave his slaves? Most of them will either write in his name of not vote.
Sure they will. FWIW the ideas and policies of MAGA aka the 2016 Trump campaign platform have strong appeal outside the Only Trump camp. Those were things that a huge number of folks thought were common sense then and still do today. Those issues were available for Trump to pick up and use b./c the DC establishment kept leaving them laying on the ground and ignoring them. Many of us were pushing the same sorts of more Populist center/right platform way before Trump.
IMO the Only Trump camp is in error by claiming that the ideas of ‘MAGA’ are exclusive to Trump. They compound this error by then claiming that Trump is the only candidate who will implement them. Whatever else Trump did he moved the Overton window and brought these ideas into the mainstream of politics and now many more folks who also view them as common sense want to see them implemented. It’s bigger than Trump for all that his 2016 campaign was a necessary precursor to their implementation.
Maybe, just maybe, that’s why the republican party and electorate at large should be a little more concerned about the republic ending lawfare abuses? But not the NeverTrumpers apparently. I guess they think its a good opportunity to get rid of the competition. There must be something lower than that but nothing comes to mind.
DeSantis IS a MAGA Rrepublican.
HE will be back in the Trump camp once the farce is concluded.
Or, gods help us, he will choose to stick with the GOPe and flame out with them.
But I think that unlikely.
Yeah, this will really cause independents like me to vote for Trump.
Maybe he can get into a food fight if he bothers to show up for the next debate.
Yeah, don’t look at supporting the only the champion for America , base your vote on nicknames
That will work out well
Please explain to me how name-calling is a positive and will help him win the election.
You mean the guy that never drained the swamp as promised? Never built the wall as promised? Was the one that came with “Operation Warp Speed” that gave us the mRNA serum that has caused untold harm to the U.S. population? Was the one that did everything that Fauci told him to do? Was the one that increased the debt by $3 trillion USD? You mean that champion for America. Or were you talking about someone else.
Then vote for Biden/Harris. Or whatever new puppet they install. That’s your choice. Pres. Trump was fought, tooth and nail, every step of the way, by members of both parties.
What was the alternative to the mRNA “vaccine?” Given the panic that the media worked the country into, he did the best he could. Fauci is a weasel pretending to be an expert. Pfizer lied and is covering up clinical data. Was a real expert offered up? Re: the wall. Look how much he build despite being harangued as a “racist” for doing so. How’s Biden doing? Energy independence and a good economy with great employment numbers. Do you have that now without the “name calling?”
The list goes on. Tell me how Biden et al. are champions for America. Please.
He had to fight against both parties and MSM…
>>Then vote for Biden/Harris. Or whatever new puppet they install.
>>That’s your choice. Pres. Trump was fought, tooth and nail, every step
>>of the way, by members of both parties.<>
Nah, if Saint Trump (PB&J) is nominated for the first time since I
became old enough to vote I will simply not cast a vote for president in
the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Neither democrat or republican
will get my vote. I’m tired of voting for the “least worst candidate”
for president so I shall not do it any longer. And to heck with the
consequences.
>>What was the alternative to the mRNA “vaccine?”<>
As ineffective and unsafe as the mRNA serum turned out to be perhaps it
would have been better to let the disease run its course. Fewer people
might have died than did during the plandemic.
>>Given the panic that the media worked the country into, he did the
>>best he could. <>
Nope. He simply rubber-stamped the recommendations from Fauci and the rest of the suspects at the CDC and FDA. Not once did he bring in his
own experts to advise him on matters.
>> Fauci is a weasel pretending to be an expert. <>
Yes, he is. What of it. Trump accepted Fauci’s word as gospel and
managed to destroy the country with unnecessary lockdowns and mRNA serum mandates.
>>Pfizer lied and is covering up clinical data.<>
Under Trump’s Operation Warp Speed they didn’t need to have the clinical
data. Under OWS all Pfizer had to show is that their mRNA serum wouldn’t
kill too many people. That it might be “safe and effective”. Which is
what they did. Of course, they were totally wrong.
>>Was a real expert offered up? <>
No, and Trump never went out looking for outside expert help or advice.
He slavishly did whatever Fauci told him to do without any critical
thought on his part.
>>Re: the wall. Look how much he build despite being harangued as a
>>“racist” for doing so.<>
Look at how much he didn’t build despite promising to, “Build the Wall
and make Mexico pay for it”.
>>How’s Biden doing? Energy independence and a good economy with
>>great employment numbers. Do you have that now without the “name
>>calling?”<>
Not talking about Biden’s failures. It’s all about Trump’s failures to
do as he promised. Swamp not drained. Wall not built. And they aren’t
the ones calling people birdbrains.
>>Tell me how Biden et al. are champions for America. Please.<>
No, you tell me how Trump will be a “champion for America” the second
time around.around.
He didn’t say he wouldn’t vote for Trump he was saying the things that
Trump has done wrong. Why is it that none of you magas can stand hearing any of Trump’s failures? You constantly point out make-believe things that DeSantis has done like being a globalist and an eRINO but can’t stand to hear actual things that Trump has done.
You mean the guy who worked to drain the swamp but was thwarted by his own party?
Or the guy who worked to build a wall, but was thwarted by Republicans?
That guy?
The guy who came up with operation Warp Speed that got the Deep State out of the way?
That guy?
You seem really focused on blaming him for the actions of others who were trying to stop him from succeeding.
He got elected president, not god.
Take your daddy issues elsewhere, Satan.
“” … the only champion for America.”
This is the cult-like language that you specialize in which drives away everyone else. He is NOT the only “champion for America,” and saying such nonsense makes you sound drunk on kool-aid.
How much have you donated to this billionaire’s legal defense fund?
This kind of kindergarten playground behavior will not get me, as an independent, to vote for Trump. And there are already many other independents that feel that same way.
And don’t worry. The chances of having a food fight is slim since Little Donnie is too scared to actually show up at a debate where he might have to articulate what he’d actually be doing if he were to be re-elected president which so far he has managed to avoid doing.
Quite an “independent” statement.
Quite the deflection.
At this moment what worries me more than anything, is somebody is going to win the White House.
Either Donald Duck or Elmer Dudd.
I’m not a Haley fan, but DJT really needs to do better. His low-aimed quips at Republicans don’t reflect well on him. If he has something to say about (or to) any of them, he should PARTICIPATE in the public debates. It might be an opportunity to show some actual policy substance in a productive manner.
Maybe if he was badgered with chants of “chicken!”?
I’ve said it before but I will repeat it that Trump needs indies and women to win. But he mocks the only woman in the campaign with a silly nickname. Sure she is a dose to watch but with a little bit of sense, he could have crushed her but not alienated many thousands of potential voters.
Spoken like a true snowflake. Ever hear of “sticks and stones may break my bones….”?
Sometimes mockery is precisely the thing that is needed, especially when it comes to the inanity of the left. Nothing deserves ridicule as much as the ridiculous.
But she’s not the left. She was Trump’s own Ambassador to the UN, FFS. If she is a ‘birdbrain’ then what does that make him for appointing her to such an important position in his administration?
Note her profound lack of support for Pres. Trump. She should have refused the ambassadorship.
No Nordo, that wasn’t mockery, that was a childish insult. Mockery takes skill and intelligence, insults don’t. He lost many women who are not partial to his ways and that will be the final nail in the coffin.
Then what are you afraid of, he’ll just lose the primaries and not be the candidate with all those women voting against him. Let’s see who’s wrong. Actually we don’t have to wait. you’re wrong.
“No Nordo, that wasn’t mockery, that was a childish insult.”
Yes. You use childish insults to offend the childish.
And look, you are all offended.
And at the rate Trump is going with the kindergarten playground insults he isn’t going to get the “indies and women” to vote for him. Because why the heck should anyone vote for the guy who insults us.
Only the birdbrained ones and Nevertrumpers, but I repeat myself.
I watched the last debate.. and I was glad he didn’t bother. If he stepped on anyone for 10 seconds it would be front page news for weeks.. No.. they all just gaggled at each other.
Half of the Republican party deserves all of our criticisms. Snakes!!
Maybe you want to have a good cry about it? Or perhaps some time with a therapy animal?
It’s amazing, this being a legal” blog and all, the absolute minimum of any of the issues and commie investigations going on with President Trimp
But he puts out a name for a bought amd paid for shrill, birdbrain, and immediately it’s got to be posted
Sad
Being an “empty vessel” and all, oh wait, that was from little Ronnie, the chosen one
He could have said about her performance something like, “How would you like to hear that every night on your TV?”. That would have made the point and got a laugh but with no name-calling.
So, your god has called her a “birdbrain” so now, of course, you’re using it. Alway take your cues from the leader of your cult. Cult-101 behavior. Classic.
The Church of Donnatology.
You do realize there’s things going on besides what’s happening to Saint Trump. And that not all of us are as obsessed with Little Donnie as you are. And we’re just fine with the coverage that LI has. It’s Dr. Jacobson’s blog and he can do as he wishes along with his staff of writers.
So once again, if you’re not happy with LI then why don’t you mosey on over to
truthsocial.com
. I’ve heard they’re just infested with Only Trumpers. You’d probably be much happier over there posting your nonsense over there. It’s just a Donnie Trump echo chamber over there. So please, by all means, just go.When he’s not president in 2025, will he also have won, just like last time?
I’ll vote for DJT is he becomes the nominee, BUT many won’t for the simple reason he’s a serial a-hole. Not a good strategy Donald.
He’s actually a very kind person, yes egotistical like most successful billionaires, but hes there for the Everyman, and he is the only one that is
I look at his actions, he really hates traitors and it gets him, but I’ll take that from someone who will give everything he has to save this Country
And he has,
BS! He is there for one simple reason and that is DJT! He “Discovered” the campaign he is running on as a very popular and strong group of patriotic Americans who know their country is in trouble. He took up that cause for the first time in his life in 2016 and has sharpened his message to reflect that theme. He doesn’t believe in any of it and his past shows that. He is a bully and a showman and works TV and the msm like hand puppets. It has been revealed during his administration that he was going to work with Pelosi and Schumer on gun control and his abortion views are like smoke. He did accomplish many good things while in office but his ability to insult almost everyone he has to work with is unmatched. As a one-term POTUS, he will get no help from either side.
Bad man that tries to work with people and bring them together to actually make things better. He cares nothing for anyone but himself. He lost money and now may go to prison because he’s just a selfish guy who does not give a damn, and never did. It’s all so clear now.
He is a con man. He knows that the many indictments are actually helping him. The Dems are so stupid to think that Americans want to live in a third-world country. If he wins it will be awesome to see the people he chooses this time to fill all of the vacancies. I’ll bet he has not given one minute to that issue. This is all about him.
I don’t care if he’s an a-hole or not, I liked the condition of things while he was president, low inflation, cheap gas, illegals remained in Mexico and Putin remained in Russia
Well yeah. That’s pretty much the opposite of Biden’s policy results which none of the current GoP candidates competing for the nomination are very likely to leave in place. With the exception of Ukraine which has no great base of support in the GoP and keep in mind Putin was in Crimea before, during and after Trump left office so it isn’t as if Trump getting elected is gonna cause Putin to say ‘oh crap better leave now’.
So people complain that Pres. Trump didn’t do everything he promised, but he damn well tried. Putin was not invading during Pres. Trump’s administration was he?
Given the Republican party’s history of caving to the Dems, how much do you trust them to dismantle Biden’s EO legacy of destruction? I believe that we could certainly trust a reelected and thoroughly PO’ed President Trump to do so.
Are telling us that Trump who was selected as the nominee of the GoP twice, is running for a third time to become the GoP nominee for President after having served a full term as a GoP President isn’t in the GoP?
As for ‘trying’ to fulfill his campaign promises let’s stick with ‘build a.big beautiful wall’. He didn’t get it done. Ryan and McConnell presented him a budget without funding for the wall. Trump could have used his VETO. He didn’t, instead he chose to sign it and thus not to use the full power of his office to try and get it done.
My Dad taught me to observe actions v words as much better indicators of what people believe. IOW watch what they do/don’t do and largely tune out what they say they gonna do/not do. It’s some of the best advice I ever received b/c it works 100%. Actions matter more than words.
That is where so many Trump lovers make their mistake. Just because someone says he is for something and talks about it on TV doesn’t mean he is a good administrator. Trump could not get along with anyone in DC but that was his job. Not to insult everyone who disagreed with him but to get the job done. His ego is so large that any version of “No” was evil to Trump and he responded not with another offer or negotiations but an insult. That is why all of his good deeds are now gone.
One doesn’t get more GOP establishment Bush/Rove neocon war monger than Nicki Haley. As an America First conservative populist I would never vote for Nicki Haley. I’d rather vote for RFK, Jr.
Trump appointed her to UN Ambassador based on McConnell pushing her. Trump tried to play nice with the GOPe to consolidate them under his America First populism. He just didn’t know what duplicitous liars they all were in fact.
Exactly
Indeed. Haley is at heart a neocon warmonger. At least she is today, who knows what she will be tomorrow.
“As for that infamous “loyalty” argument, considering Trump himself is not a particularly loyal person it’s hard to see this argument carrying much weight beyond the MAGA faithful.”
I disagree strenuously. A penchant for loyalty and a penchant for keeping the promises you make (traditionally referred to as “honor”) are character traits that are practically welded together. A person who will discard an ally who becomes inconvenient will discard you when she no longer needs your vote.
I usually agree with your comments but loyalty does not mean collusion or abdication of values. Trump has dumped anyone who has even questioned any of his statements or actions. He cannot tolerate a person who may actually be trying to help him if it is perceived by Trump as threatening. He holds grudges and will eventually start calling that person names. Many of his disloyal ex-admirers were caused by Trump.
Let me be clearer. I consider myself MAGA, but I don’t see the term as synonymous to “Always Trump.” Nikky Haley’s lack of loyalty concerns me. Trump’s also concerns me. Not only does he turn on past supporters, but he constantly hires backstabbers, which is the flip side of the coin and even more dangerous.
You seem to be saying that Trump’s naivety about the DC establishment when he was running for President is a virtue. It doesn’t make sense b/c Trump is a smart guy, a very experienced negotiator who can read people.
As an example he ran on a central campaign promise to ‘build a big beautiful border wall’. He was able to do so b/c the DC establishment hadn’t already built one before then. They didn’t b/c they don’t want one, not then, not now, not ever. To claim that DC establishment didn’t reveal their true nature until after Trump was in office is not a very serious argument to make in the face of mountains of evidence of the DC establishment shifty and duplicitous nature way before then.
Before, to a significant degree, it was covert. Now it’s overt. It’s surely NOT the same since Trump appeared on the scene. Who’s to say what is a serious argument anyway? Becoming a police state before our eyes may indeed reveal the true nature of things that we never imagined was possible.
Glad to see something finally opened up many of the only Trump folks eyes as to the nature of the DC establishment, the neocons, the Alliance between big govt, big finance, big labor, open borders, endless wars, unrestrained deficit spending, big pharma, grievance grifters, race hustlers, big Agriculture and so on.
All of which has worked in concert to crush the middle class, hollow out our domestic manufacturing and natural resource development while crippling the institution of marriage and undermining families and basic civic/cultural traditions of Western society. Very glad to have new converts to the center/right Populist cause. Always room for more, even if they are only rookies.
Can you be a bit less condescending?
if you refrain from making the same lame arguments using tired excuses and attempts to deflect or reframe the discussion then it’s a deal.
Worry about your own comments, please. The point you raised was absurd and more lame. That mean tweets is anapporipriate becaused he used truth social. Language police anyone? Get Real!
Immediately after your use of shaming tactics and implied guilt (both are common lefty argument styles also used by most feminists) re the communication choices of my comments you now
1. Tell me to worry about my comments
2. Accuse me of attempting to police your language
Both demonstrate your hypocrisy. Then you compound your SIGN language by use of insult by calling it ‘absurd and more lame’ then add the need to be right by insisting you are correct when you haven’t been able to demonstrate through facts or evidence that this is the case.
Here is a list of how lefties and particularly feminists often argue:
1. Shame
2. Insults
3. Guilt
4. Need to be right
Aka SIGN language. When folks consistently use these patterns in their arguments it always makes me wonder if they are a lefty troll storing the pot here OR if they are merely a leftist on the road to reform who hasn’t completed their journey away from lefty communication styles and policy choices.
Hope she cashed that check quick smart.
Because there aren’t any voters looking at her.
The obsession over mean tweets is entertaining. Anyone need a safe space?
You, like your idol, do not understand that it isn’t the mean tweets but the mind that comes up with them. The thought process that has to take place in a mind that you expect to be well above that level of thought. As we have seen here many times, it is very childish to name-call a person who is not to your liking. Do you do it? When something comes up in your life that is not great, do you immediately name-call?
Don’t have an idol. It’s not idolotry to address TDS. It’s common sense!
It’s not tweets anymore it’s Truth Socials now.
Mean tweets does not refer to twitter or even x, however.
So if not about mean tweets why use the phrase if it’s no longer true or from your point of view was never true?
Where are you coming from that you need to argue the point? Just this week, the dictionary added “Beast mode.” Some things take a meaning of their own. You knew exactly what was conveyed. Where are you coming from?
A place that values honesty and accuracy in communication more than buzzwords and spin no matter how handy they are. I get it. ‘Mean Tweets’ was a thing, almost it’s own brand at one point. Very catchy and useful. Encapsulated the point about folks not liking the Style of Trump v the Substance of Trump.
Unfortunately the guy who was the beneficiary of the accumulated buzz, the ‘goodwill’ of the phrase ‘Mean Tweets’ walked away from Twitter, formed his own alternative platform, declared he wouldn’t return (kinda like Nixon ‘you won’t have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore’) then stuck his toe back in a couple times post Musk buying and cleaning up Twitter in large part.
If there ain’t any deluge of daily tweets from Trump setting lefties hair on fire there ain’t any ‘mean tweets’ so the phrase is inoperative at present due to Trump’s own actions. Persisting in using it once it’s not a ‘thing’ anymore lacks originality.
Thank you for pretending that you are The Science.
It was Trump who enabled ‘The Science’ Fauci fascists to run wild and unchecked but nice try at deflection, didn’t work but hey gotta shoot your shot or ya never know.
There’s plenty of name-calling on this site towards Trump supporters.
Oh, the irony.
>>Oh, the irony.<<
Full of iron?
Goose meet gander.
You get what you give and don’t have any effing reason to complain.
Name or show one name-calling of Trump. You used the word “Plenty” but I would appreciate just one.
Were you planning to marry him, because his name calling sure was insignificant against his accomplishments?
Name the ones that exist today Bubba. Because he cannot get along with anyone, he got nothing accomplished that lasted.
I enjoyed those tweets, because they had Dems chasing their own tails, they lost it and they were funny. Not only that, the time they spent on it was nonproductive. Think about millions of wasted idiot hours.
The ninth round of hell is reserved for the betrayers. Like Haley. Funnily enough I don;t remember much love for here her until now, when Saint Ron is fading in the distance.
Haley is just Romney in a skirt. Bothare birdbrains because they think we will keep buying their bullshit, even when theya re being slapped in the face with the fact that the magic is over.
In fact the Romneys,McCains,Bushs, and Heleys are the reason that Trump exists as a poltician.
This guy makes the most unforced errors of any candidate I’ve ever seen.
Maybe they just got reported more than anyone other candidate… is that possible?
95% negative coverage is a little over the top.
And who’s fault is that exactly? If Little Donnie were so concerned about this “negative coverage” then perhaps he should grow-up, act like an adult, and drop the childish, kindergarten playground insults and run a real campaign.
“This guy makes the most unforced errors of any candidate I’ve ever seen.”
The guy who got elected president the first time he ran.
The guy who the opposition is destroying the country to avoid having to face again.
HE is the one you think is making ‘unforced errors’.
okay then….
Remember when the trumpets told us that all these people were just vying for Trump’s running mate.
Yeah, none of them want to work with him….and no one else does either. A POTUS is not a king and can’t do what he wants. He would be completely dead in the water as a POTUS in 2024. What a complete waste of any momentum and good will he might have had.
Some keep telling people how terrible he is, yet he keeps gaining popularity.
Remember Obama dropping the mic? So sure about things.
Birdbrain is not a mean tweet. It is an accurate descriptor of a person who tweets their fake outrage at a garage door opener with a loop tied on the end as being a symbol for a noose to strike down racist straw men.
Haley stepped in the Wallace hoax with both feet. She wasn’t smart enough to wait a day to see how it played out. Birdbrain.
So DeSantis is done, and Haley is now the next GOPe savior to slay Trump? They are burning through candidates before the first primary vote is cast.
Next thing you know, the Republicans will be running Gavin Newsome.
An aside only Leslie would love … about birdbrains … the biomechanics of woodpeckers have been studied in part to help improve the safety of football players. This summer, a few pileated woodpeckers have taken up in our trees. Like a drum corps … relentless rat-a-tat-a-tat … day after day … they never tire. PDJT better hope Haley ain’t woodpecker-like – she’ll bore a hole right through that hard skull of his.
I can see quite a few have not realized how people talk in NYC. Hailey is a tool and big government RINO
The exact type that would be happy in the minority, getting nothing done if she was invited to the right parties.
Other candidates aside, I question the wisdom of smack-talking people like Smith and judges who now have vicegrips locked on Trumps ballz
I guess there are some here have not seen the antics in Britain’s House of Commons. Fainting couches needed because Trump is just soooo mean. Ugh Vote for RFK, Jr. who does not believe in the SA, the right to life, that there are two sides to climate change [Arrest them!], … but he is so polite! You would never hear “birdbrain” coming from his lips. The women who hate Trump want abortion entrenched in the law, for the most part.
DeSantis is getting hammered in the polls, fair enough, but unfairly as a human being. He couldn’t wait and hold on for a better moment to run because he listened to the pied pipers of the Never Trump Movement who are now abandoning him. He will never be seen as he could have been. It has nothing to do with lack of “manliness” for staying back for an election cycle, but common sense. It was not the time. It was obvious for a long time.
Haley is no constitutionalist. Her willingness to entertain federal legislation on abortion proves this. SCOTUS returned the question to the states where it belongs and where it was prior to Roe v. Wade when a leftist SCOTUS usurped power to legislate on it for the federal government. Haley has no principles beyond that she should be president—constantly whining about getting along with leftists. That’s traditional RINO—where it’s never the time to fight vigorously against leftists and for normal Americans
SCOTUS did not “return the question to the states”. It returned the question to the political branches, both state and federal.
The ruling said abortion was not a federal issue.. The result of that ruling was most certainly returning the matter to the states (all abortion favoring organizations specifically wailed stridently about this), where it resided prior to the Roe decision superceded ALL state laws (ranging from restrictive to permissive) in favor of a uniform federal mandate.
Shhhh–(he thinks he’s a lawyer)
