Laura Loomer, Trump Campaign Working With Leftist Lawyer Ron Filipkowsi to Stop DeSantis
Are they that scared of DeSantis?
Politico‘s latest “person of interest” is leftist lawyer Ron Filipkowski. Apparently, he’s the “hard-tweeting defense lawyer GOP candidates have learned to fear.”
Calm down. Pride cometh before the fall. I always forget who he is. Then again, I’m not a Republican or GOP candidate. (Remember, I don’t have a horse in this race.)
Anyway, Filipkowski said he remains in contact with Laura Loomer and the Trump campaign to eliminate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis from the race:
His tweets have sparked cable news segments and online battles with political operatives. Journalists have alerts turned on to catch the latest photo or obscure right-wing event he has uncovered. Even the campaigns he covers and political figures he loathes have warmed to him and even teamed up with him. Filipkowski said he is in contact with far-right activist Laura Loomer and people affiliated with Donald Trump’s campaign. It’s not to boost Trump (whom he has been agitating against since the 2020 campaign) but to upend their mutual enemy: DeSantis.
“I’m probably the top anti-DeSantis person on Twitter. So if [rivals] have something anti-DeSantis that they want to get into the mainstream, they’ll send it to me,” Filipkowski said, without disclosing the name of anyone on the Trump campaign he’s worked with. The Trump campaign declined to comment.
Loomer said they speak occasionally. “He knows I’m a Trump loyalist, and I know he doesn’t like Trump, and despite our differences, we have found common ground on making sure Ron DeSantis is never elected president of the United States, ever.”
Yes. “Coordination.” She sometimes sends me things she finds against Desantis that nobody else has and I use it against him. You got me.
— Ron Filipkowski (@RonFilipkowski) August 17, 2023
Honestly, is anyone shocked? I’d like to find out who the other candidates are working with behind closed doors to remove their opponents.
Politics is a dirty game.
Filipkowski used to be a Republican until the pandemic because he had to watch Trump while staying home:
“A lot of Republicans talk about the fact that with Covid they were forced to see what their kids were being taught at school,” Filipkowski said. “For me, it was like, now I’m forced to watch Trump every day, and I just started throwing things at the TV and screaming. … I was shocked at how stupid he was and how obnoxious he was.” That’s when he decided, he says, “I’m gonna do everything I can to defeat him.”
One day, during the 2020 election cycle, he spotted a call for people to submit personal testimony videos for an advertising campaign by Republican Voters Against Trump, a group longtime conservative Bill Kristol was launching.
“I wrestled with it for like, two weeks. Because I’m like a known person here. You know, once I do that, it’s burning a bridge forever. … I can never walk into a Republican club or meeting again,” Filipkowski explained.
I laughed: “I made the case to conservatives, which is like, ‘Why do you like this? … You say that you’re for this military service, [that you’re] Christian who lives right down the line, and [Trump], in every way, has lived his life the opposite of what you believe.’”
So the smart thing is to obviously go to the Democrats because they’re a shining beacon of family and Christian values. Give me a break.
Why is the Trump side so scared of DeSantis? Are they that worried they have to work with Filipkowski and other rabid Trump haters?
I really want to know. As I said, I would love to know if the other candidates teamed up with anyone on the other side.
Then there’s Laura Loomer. I don’t have to say much, right?
Far-right activist Laura Loomer shared a photo that was digitally altered to smear Christina Pushaw, a longtime aide to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, by editing her knees to make them look red. The doctored image came from a pro-Trump meme page, per a watermark in the top left. pic.twitter.com/gr41McGgLd

DeSantis supporters say you aren’t allowed to criticize Jill DeSantis because she claims she had cancer (I’ve never seen the medical records), but they have no problem attacking Melania Trump.

Anybody working with Flipikowsi should be fully aware of The Scorpion and the Frog story. Any short-term gain realized will be offset by a much larger long-term loss.
Seem left-wing lawyers are the only ones the left will let him work with.
“Remember, I don’t have a horse in this race.” Translation I have a horse in this race., but i want to you to think I don’t.
Give us a break. I have a lot more respect for pundits who don’t say “I don’t have a horse in this race.” because at least they don’t think we are that stupid.
It’s the wrong metaphor. She’s an American and it’s a US presidential election. So she has an interest in the outcome. Thus, she has a “horse in the race” whether she likes it or not.
Loomer is crazy. She always goes off the rails.
“Are they that scared of DeSantis? Yes.
It’s always President Trumps fault in your never Trump eyes LI
And your wrong
Ronnies demise is his own fault
Trump is only responsible for the things he has done and the things he has failed to do.
Get somebody to show you how to use the “punctuation” button on your cell phone.
No
Need
…and nothing is ever Trump’s fault in Trumpers’ eyes. The man can do no wrong.
If DeSantis is truly a loser then why does the Trump camp go after him almost daily? Has anyone noticed that they never list the evils that he has done? Or the things where he has failed? FL is now the leading school example of how to rid CRT and DEI from all schools funded by the state. No mutilation of underage children is allowed there. Yet you maga rats call him a RINO. You have little names for him like children do, and you love to call him those silly names like your childish God does. Why not just walk away and let him die a natural PR death? Oh, and if anyone points this out about you and Trump, you resort to name-calling just like he does.
“Oh, and if anyone points this out about you and Trump, you resort to name-calling just like he does.:
“Maga rats.”
No one pointed out a thing for this resort to name-calling.
Because he’s a traitor and I’m sure Washington felt daily the crush disloyalty like his buddy Benedict Arnold
Must be like what Hillary feels about Trump.
I knew you were a hillary supppter
Ha. You have previously described yourself as ‘bra burning, ’60s radical feminist’ who supported d/prog from your HS days until Trump.
That’s a great deal of projection and hypocrisy coming from you on this point as you attempt to put HRC onto someone else.
Arnold betrayed the country. What DeSantis did “to” Trump is not a betrayal and Trump is not the country.
All excellent points.
Ms. Loomer is an uncivil, impolite, ungracious person, and those are her best qualities.
Politico, Loomer & Filipkowski are on no ones bingo card. Seriously the later two are on a collision course as to who requires the most attention.
DeSantis lagging in the polling has little to do with Trump and everything to do with his lack of charisma. What is there to fear?
Cool, I hadn’t realized that Trump was demonstrating his lack of fear by showing up to the GoP debate next week.
He doesn’t need to
Debate these pack of losers
And have to defend all of the BS he spouts.
You probably didn’t feel that way about Katie Hobbs or Biden when he was hiding in his basement. Yes, he does need to debate. He’s running for president. If he doesn’t he’s a coward.
Those 2stole elections, Otho g in common with President Trump
If he is ‘unafraid’ as most Trump Supporters claim then he would debate. Instead he is doing the prudent thing and avoiding a confrontation with DeSantis on a debate stage which just might damage his candidacy. Very smart tactical move.
It’s the smart play but certainly not an aggressive, dynamic or reckless move that we have come to expect from Trump. In sum, smart but timid. Perhaps he is learning to adjust his campaign style after all. IMO, it is not a bad thing if he has learned to STFU at times and let his opponents squabble without the need for him to chime in and seek to become the center of attention.
The last thing his lawyers want is an unfiltered Trump on the debate stage. The second to the last thing they want is a Trump press conference spewing his “evidence” about the stolen election in Georgia. So, will Trump follow his lawyers’ advice?
Dear God he’s not afraid of little-d, you see the throngs of supporters at the lowa fair for President Trump?
And the handful for “d” and he was literally booed off the stage. The Govonor, who supports little “d” was scolding the people like they were children amd she was a kindergarten teacher that lost complete control
It was a riot
I can get you the video if you want it…
After the way President Trump was treated in every freaking debate, you expect him to attend a fox love fest for little d.
Get a life
You do realize your post acknowledged that Trump is ‘afraid’ of appearing on a debate stage b/c he Fox moderators might be mean to him?
Trump was never reckless. He’ll get those crowds revved up and throw them under the bus.
DeSantis’ weakness is that he isn’t rich and can’t resist what big money tells him to do while he’s a vulnerable candidate.
Vivek showed his true nature recently and said we should fund Israel and its enemies equally. Enough of Vivek. If he’s elected he’ll probably fill his cabinet with other Indians.
The R’s have only imperfect candidates, but they’d have to work hard to be as imperfect as Biden.
What if someone calls Trump out on his promotion of the vax? That’s becoming far less popular as we learn more about Covid and more about what “Operation Warp Speed” was.
If Trump holds a parallel event, a rally, or online real time critique of the first debate, he’ll outdraw the network. With the games moderators have played with him in past debates, I view his decision to sit it out not as cowardice, but more a slap across the face – disciplining – of the media. The debates won’t draw a substantial viewership and once they start the Trump hate, many will tune out. Nielsen ratings will be abysmal. I wouldn’t be surprised if the first debate is a complete anti-trump sh!t show where few will articulate any meaningful policies or positions. Without Trump there, those who do participate will be emboldened to mouth off about him and that’ll hurt them in the polling. Likely they’ll feed into the rally-around effect PJ has been writing about.
I doubt there is much Trump hate on the debate stage. All the field will train their guns on DeSantis for the most part. Everyone on the debate stage is jockeying to occupy the prime ‘not Trump’ lane position which DeSantis holds for now. That’s why Trump welcomed most every other candidate into the race; he wants them to take on DeSantis and damage him in what he views as the under card events so he doesn’t have to subject himself to risk on that stage this early.
Holding a competing event with the GoP primary debate would be fine…if Trump wasn’t running in the same GoP primary. Either he is in the GoP or he isn’t and sooner or later he will appear on the GoP debate stage and he will have signed off on the pledge to support whomever is the eventual GoP nominee.
Why focus on the third place guy?
Good question! It ie very curious how over $20 million in attack ads have hit DeSantis so far which is more than the amount run against Biden and Trump COMBINED. Someone thinks he is a threat.
Very interesting indeed how DeSantis is drawing the most fire from both the d.prog, his fellow GoP candidates, the lapdog legacy media and discredited and/or washed up talking heads like the weirdos at the Lincoln project and the examples here in this article.
Lots of folks sure seem awfully focused on stopping DeSantis. While others seek to avoid, for now anyway, a direct confrontation on the debate stage.
I doubt it. Trump rallies aren’t the same, since people still remember the big one he organized on J6 and the people in prison for that one. I’ve heard enough ambiguous bs from that guy.

If you have to think that Trump is scared of DeSantis, by all means. Politico proved it!
OMG. Behind Christie, how the mighty have fallen.
It’s not hard to imagine DeSantis behind Christie. Heck, a Chevy van could be behind him and no one would notice.
They sent out a sos for “d” supporters
No, that was Trump.
Little d is stopping himself
Let’s not start believing polls too much. We don’t even get honest results from actual elections ever since Obama changed it for 2017 and onwards. Suppose the government is willing to have Trump, or Vivek, or Biden, or basically anyone but DeSantis.
I’m trying to figure this out.
Loomer and Filipkowski talk occasionally so that means that Trump is working with a leftist to defeat DeSantis?
For someone without a horse in the race you’re sure spreading a lot of manure.
But…but…but….donors
DeSantis is doing a good job of stopping himself, he really doesn’t need any assistance
Filipkowski: “For me, it was like, now I’m forced to watch Trump every day …”
Like hell you were. Your TV has other channels, and an Off switch. Nobody forced you to watch anything, let alone Trump.
Filipkowski gain: “… and I just started throwing things at the TV and screaming.”
That sounds like irrational fits of violence, and it sounds like a “you” problem.
Most of the rest of us, if we don’t want to watch Trump talk, we do the exact same thing as when we don’t want to watch Biden talk: We change the channel or turn off the TV.
Personally, I like to go outside and play with my kids. But that’s just me; you do you.
However, do not ever presume that your “throwing things at the TV and screaming” says anything about the rest of us.
(As an aside, no wonder he’s now a Democrat. The desire to control others when they cannot control themselves is a common trait among the Left.)
Trump’s next public words to Loomer and Filipkowski should be “You’re Fired!”
Is anyone else getting a “If I can’t have it, none of you can, either!” vibe from the Trump camp?
Also, I don’t get the DeSantis hate. I don’t think he should be running for President this year (IMO, he’d have been better off staying in Florida, getting a solid track record, and running for President after Trump is out of the way — having both of them in the race is a distraction), but in his interactions with Trump thus far, the man’s been a class act. Trump only attacks DeSantis (after having supported each other in the past), but DeSantis continues to verbally and publicly support Trump against every indictment and every legal proceeding.
(It’s almost like an injustice is an injustice regardless of who’s at the receiving end, or something principled like that.)
But that’s what I’ve seen of Trump’s character. He’ll support you as long as you support him, but the second you oppose him, the knives come out — and they don’t go back in, ever. (I could go into what type of personality that’s indicative of, but I wouldn’t want to be accused of being Bandy X. Lee’s alt account again.)
And these apparent “My way or the highway” and “If I can’t have it no one can” attitudes will end up doing more damage to Trump’s and the GOP’s campaign efforts than anything else.
If he doesn’t get the GOP nomination, does anyone really believe he’ll sit it out rather than continue campaigning as an independent? Has he ever said that’s what he’ll do?
And does anyone really believe splitting the Republican voter base like that will prove to be a winning strategy for anyone but Biden?
Just to be clear, as much as I don’t like Trump personally — and never have — I voted for him in 2016 and in 2020. If he gets the GOP nomination I’ll vote for him in 2024, if for no other reason than to retire Biden.
But nobody can credibly deny that he is an extremely divisive character, and I truly do not believe he has the country’s best interests at heart; he’s in it for himself, which is why I believe he won’t bow out, nomination or no nomination.
If he doesn’t get the GOP’s blessing and instead runs as an independent, it won’t matter how I vote. Biden will win, with no illegal interference necessary; Trump’s continued presence will be all he needs.
That was a down vote archer, big thumbs
Down vote if you want, but it doesn’t refute anything.
“”If he doesn’t get the GOP’s blessing and instead runs as an independent””
Or, he could do it the Perot way – endorse the Democrat (I don’t think it’ll be Biden) candidate.
On the one hand, I wouldn’t put it past him to try and make sure no other Republican candidate can win if he can’t.
On the other hand, whether it’s his intention or not, Trump is a divisive enough figure that endorsing Biden might be enough to make Biden lose!
The 70% arent voting for anyone else of the losers
Voting, it’s ballot harvesting, your so 2016
Burn it all down
@gonzotx much truth there, we know Obama rigged it so the feds can pick winners all across the country. Even our local elections went from red-purple to deep blue suddenly starting in 2017.
But not a fan of burning down. Prefer to let the system die of total disbelief. The system will die because we cannot go on like this when what’s happening is obvious to all of us and around the world, but don’t let it be your fault. Also, never trust these individuals again even in the role of assistant dogcatcher.
If the Dems nominate someone other than Biden, that person will be worse and farther left. Biden has quietly done a lot of things right, so much that the efforts to assassinate him have been intense. For example, he arranged the corporate vax mandate to fail at SCOTUS by appointing the wrong agency to supervise the requirement. FedGov mandate succeeded because he appointed a different, competent agency in that case. So force the .gov to take its medicine but let the rest of the country off. Nasty, dirty pool, corrupt as hell, but with a point. That’s the Biden way.
Go take a nice walk in Frick Park in Pittsburgh and see the brand new Forbes Ave. bridge (obviously brand new from the underside) that Biden’s team had blown the night before he was scheduled to speak there in January 2022, standing under it. It had been rigged with explosives and was supposed to fall right on top of him. Biden’s team blew it the night before, killing nobody, and Biden showed up the next day to offer condolences etc., also chortled a bit at the effort to rub him out, then rebuilt it better than new.
An old fashioned corruptocrat like Biden is not terrible. Not as bad as a truly far left Dem who wants to usher in communism. My only real concern with Biden is the China connection — a country that has clearly shown itself to be our enemy, probably wants our land if they can get it.
he aint in it to be your bow
It’s spelled “beau”, and I don’t care that he’s not trying to be mine. I’m taken, thanks.
But is it too much to ask that someone running for President has the interests and future of the nation first and foremost in mind, and not just his own enemies and how he can get back at them?
No one. Since Lincoln, has done for America what president Trump has
No one
“”No one. Since Lincoln, has done for America what president Trump has “”
Start a Civil War?
@gonzotx: Terrible example. Lincoln was one of the worst, most authoritarian Presidents in history. Yes, he signed the Emancipation Proclamation, and even though slavery was already becoming economically unfeasible due to technological advances, we’ll give him a point for that.
But he also led us into an inter-state WAR (not a “civil war”; that implies the South was trying to take over, and they weren’t) which resulted in over 600,000 deaths — about 4% of all males, and about 20% of all enlisted military — all because he wouldn’t let states voluntarily leave a union they voluntarily entered. And he packed the Supreme Court with justices who declared joining the union a “ride for life” deal after-the-fact, to support that decision.
Don’t insult your boy Trump like that, man!
Because only the well adjusted, mature, emotionally healthy people go into politics. Narcissists never go into politics.
“”the second you oppose him, the knives come out — and they don’t go back in, ever.””
Sounds like the Clintons, doesn’t it?
sounds like politics
Sure. Not saying it isn’t – but the Clintons are infamous for never forgetting or forgiving, as do Trump’s core supporters – and have a suspicious trail of dead bodies.
Speaking of knives out and retribution I saw this the other day can’t remember where;
Clinton defeated Bush, was impeached
Trump defeated Jeb! in ’16 Presidential primary, was impeached
Paxton defeated George P Bush in ’22 TX AG primary was impeached
The take away lesson seems to be don’t eff with Bush family or get impeached. Is it all coincidence or planned and executed retribution? 3 x seems like enemy action.
A curious set of circumstances, although I tend to believe that it’s more coincidence. Trump’s impeachment, for example, is much more likely to be retaliation for Clinton’s, and Paxton’s is for being too conservative for Dade Phelan.
Lol boy you are delusional
The clintons have always been in it for themselves
They have raped and blackmailed and probably murdered numerous people
But YOU compare them to President Trump
And you forget that the Clintons and Trump were best buds before he decided to become a Republican and run for President.
They werent best buds.it was business to donate to political parties
Get real
You can delude yourself all you want, but facts are facts.
Probably. (Well, not murder, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve had people murdered, even if they didn’t do the deed[s] themselves.)
But as far as vindictiveness and holding petty grudges — which was the point above — they are very similar.
It’d be delusional to think otherwise.
One of the reasons Trump and Hillary made such excellent adversaries is that they’re so alike.
only on LI can this pile get an upvote
Like I told gonzotx above: Downvote if you like, but it doesn’t refute anything.
I’m open to being wrong. In fact, in a lot of cases (including this one), I welcome it! I’d rather the truth be different from what I observe, so if you think you’re seeing something I’m not, please share it and we can discuss it like rational adults. Maybe you’ll change my mind.
Until then, I’ll stick with the truth I’m seeing, and that truth does not care about your downvotes.
What is stopping DeSantis is that only 10 percent of Republican voters are interested in him, namely rich white guys in their mid-thirties. Not a solid demographic.
I’m an old female lawyer. I gave DeSantis couple hundred dollars a couple weeks ago.
Sorry for your loss
Wish these two would stop going after each other when the whole Deep State, DOJ and Democrats Propaganda Ministry are grabbing their throats.
Really skip?
DeSantis is a Trivandrum horse and a traitor and you want President Trump to
Play nice with him?
That’s more or less what I’m saying, except that most of the ire and snide comments are going one direction. DeSantis rarely says anything derogatory about Trump.
But you are correct: there are enough threats already, they don’t need to be focusing on each other.
DeSantis did not notify President Trump of the coming raid at Mara Lago.. he knew and his in his basement for 5 days
He’s said President did not win amd there was not enough cheating to make a difference
He’s actually said that President Trumps support hurt his 2018 Governors race
What a joke he was 18 points behind
I think we all remember the building the wall
Commercial with his son and the rally’s.
Trump pulled him out of obscurity only to have the midget thrust a knife in his back
Let me get this straight: You’re upset that the governor of a state did not notify a resident of a federal warrant being served? Is that something governors normally are told in advance, and do they normally impede and obstruct federal investigations by notifying people about them ahead of time?
Or are you griping that in this one case it didn’t happen the way you’d have liked, and you blame DeSantis for it?
Actions speak louder than words
Right, so shut up. Just kidding. I never knew a leftist female who could do that.
They sure do! Here’s an example:
.Cheap talk- I’m gonna build a big beautiful wall!
Action – Actually completed the wall.
We got lots of words about a wall but very little wall. He failed to use his Veto to force Ryan and McConnell to put the funding into the budget.
Here’s another: “”Lock her up!!””.
no matter how crappy the meatball
LI luvs em
and you
Can take that to the bank
I’m just glad that Professor J and his writers have the wisdom, sense, and patience to explain the realities of the current political world to people without eyes to see and ears to hear.
Well, that’s true. You’re still here.
“DeSantis’ supporters also appear to view Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur who has been gaining in some polls, as a threat to overtake the governor.
“Take a sledge-hammer to Vivek Ramaswamy: ‘Fake Vivek’ or ‘Vivek the Fake,” the memo states.””
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2023/08/17/memo-desantis-defend-donald-trump-2024-debate/70612513007/
Who’s the scared one?
And yet Trump fans (and Trump) are carefully avoiding any criticism of Ramaswampy. Hmmmm.
So what? DeSantis and his fans will have it covered. Address the memo from his handlers, telling him to put on an act.
DeSantis has as much right to criticize Ramaswampy as Trump has to criticize him. Address why Trump only criticizes DeSantis and not Ramaswampy.
Not into playing speculative games, but did Ramaswamy ever beg for a life line to come back from the dead?
As has been pointed out many times in the past, DeSantis also endorsed Trump. But beyond that, he has also avoided criticizing and/or smearing, attacking or slandering Trump, while the reverse is, as even you must know, is not the case. He owes Trump nothing, certainly not loyalty. As far as him running for President, I opposed it in the first place, because you didn’t have to be psychic to know how Trump was going to react.
DeSantis did way more than endorsing Trump. He rallied other GOPers to get behind Trump and helped him get elected. Trump actually owes DeSantis more than the reverse.
Yeah, Trump owes it all to DeSantis. But for DeSantis’s support he would have lost. It’s exactly the same. You’ve got to be kidding. A good laugh before dinner.
Yet I didn’t say, or even imply, any such thing. Are all Trumpbots as delusional as you and Gonzo?
Maybe the comment wasn’t addressed to you. Can you get by without the namecalling?
It was addressed to me. I’ll stop when Trump stops.
So far he hasn’t shoved a knife I. President Trumps back
Personally I find him too savvy and too
Obama
Like
He’s a globalist, loves TPP
DeSantis not only isn’t shoving a knife in Trump’s back, he’s been very careful to avoid criticizing him (well, except for expressing disappointment with Trump running to his left on abortion), while continually defending him against all of these bogus prosecutions.
Yep. DeSantis has been nothing but classy when discussing Trump’s indictments. He could pile on and join in the condemnation, but he continually points out the injustice and the flaws in the indictments and proceedings against Trump.
And Trump does nothing but attack DeSantis for the trouble.
Whose knife is in whose back, again?
BS
You mean you’ve run out of fantasies? Weak sauce.
A lot of people are not paying attention right now. It’s very early in the cycle. To speculate that what happens now is what’s going to happen in March is without foundation.
Gonzo is exhausting.
Yeah, reminds me of the food fight scene in Animal House. Lots of words thrown around with no apparent rational thoughts behind them.
URI had a history of food fights until my after sophomore year. On Halloween, or Thursday if it came on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, dinner was electric. Everyone knew or had experienced the legend, and most came wearing raincoats or panchos. Electricity was in the air. The wrong noise or movement would set it off, and when it blew it made the scene in Animal House look tame. Tables were flipped (as shields to hide behind), food and plates and glasses went flying. It was unbelievable.
We took a cute freshman girl with us and prepared her. Dinner was tense but uneventful. Finally she got pissed and stood up and said something to the effect of “What’s up with this ****? This isn’t a food fight…” and tossed her tray. Oh my freaking word!!! Sue started the last food fight in the history of URI back in October of 1977. And I was at ground zero.
I would have been happy if it unfolded differently. But you can’t go back. Dining halls were shit for a week and we were only given bags of food for our three meals. Next year dining services were restricted for the traditional night. And the year after that it had become a forgotten memory.
Food Fight!!!
Right, only rational if one supports little d..

You would be thankful for me to
Be your nurse , I’m an excellent care giver, and have many heart felt write ups by patients, Drs and families, with numerous awards and requests by nurses to work with me and new nurses be have their preceptorship by me.
I’d be thrilled to assign a young woke inexperienced nurse , who probably got her nursing degree from an online shit show organization and with the dumbing down of boards, well, yes, that’s who I would assign to take care of you
Better have an advocate 24/7
I’m thankful that you’re in a different county.
Oooo, A Downvote. I wonder who that could be?🤣
Truth will set you free
Hasn’t worked for you. You’re still living in Disneyworld.
Cool. Does that mean Trump will still be holding his press conference on Monday to reveal the big info about the election in GA that will provide ‘irrefutable evidence’?
I think DeSantis views (viewed) himself as the RNC’s ace up their sleeve. If Trump doesn’t make it on the ballot he’d ride to the rescue. In most scenarios Trump would be the Republican nominee, and there’s no way of telling how the votes will be rigged, I mean counted. So in all honesty DeSantis should have held back until 2028. Unless, of course, he needs to be called in from the bullpen during the Convention (should Trump be imprisoned and disqualified with no hope of winning). By jumping the gun he risks blowing 2024 and 2028. It’s a big gamble.
I think our best bet is to prop up support for RFK, Jr., and push Biden or Newsom out of consideration. Then we will have either Trump or ??? (DeSantos or Vivek) against RFK, Jr., and the worst of those choices would be better than Biden or Newsom or any other DNC candidate.
DeSantis has a high risk of blowing this, unless of course Trump is disqualified. Again, there are no guarantees Trump would win even if he got all the votes. The goal should be anyone but the obvious progressive evil scum buckets. But if DeSantis goes down in flames he may not be able to recover for 2028.
By ’28 he will have been out of office for two years. Potentially allowing others to pass him by. Just like Christy had his potential moment and backed away then got run off the road in ’16. In ’28 Youngkin will be the guy to watch assuming there’s not a GoP Incumbent.
Any from among Trump, DeSantis or Ramaswamy is vastly preferable to Biden or Newsom. Whatever else we must support the eventual nominee and keep a d/prog out of the White House. Can’t let them have potentially two to three SCOTUS nominations and another 4 yeas appointing lower CT judges not to mention another 4 years of using the Federal agencies as weapons.
We can throw all the elbows, pitch all the fits and talk all the trash we want in the primary but then when it ends we must support the nominee and work like hell to stop the d/prog advance. That is the true opposition.
It’s this sort of behavior that gives me Trump Fatigue.
We heard at one time that he could and would be very “presidential”, but there have been far too many times when he and/or the members of Trump World really haven’t been.
Have YOU and your friends , family been jailed for political reasons, just for association with you?
You go ahead and be “Prssidential”
Yes, because Trump was so presidential until just this year, then bam! He’s been a d*** since he came down that escalator and, really, not a very good president. The two good big accomplishments he had were done by two people Trump-world despises: McConnell (Judges) and Ryan (Taxes). Everything else was pretty much boilerplate Republican (except of the trade war stuff with China, which only serves to raise prices on American consumers). Now, he’s not even talking about policies, just “retribution”. We have a lot of serious issues facing us and he (and Biden, for that matter) are not interested in addressing them.
This BS about “loyalty” is insane, especially when using the word “traitor”. I’m a veteran myself and am not a big fan of non-veterans questioning the loyalty of veterans. Then again, he likes pilots that don’t get captured after landing in a lake in North Vietnam and surrounded by enemy soldiers. Sigh.

DeSantis did way more than endorsing Trump. He rallied other GOPers to get behind Trump and helped him get elected. Trump actually owes DeSantis more than the reverse.

I didn’t know you were that dumb, for lack of a better word
Is that you little d?
Weak. Very weak. You must be getting tired.
Gonzo thrives on LI due to the attention that she receives. If people just stop arguing with her and stop downvoting her, she’ll get bored and she’ll either go somewhere else or learn to participate here more reasonably, without trying to dominate every Trump-related story and parry every single word of Trump criticism.
False ideas have to be challenged to be seen as false.
It’s not about gonzotx. It’s about making sure the full range of ideas gets heard so that this doesn’t become an echo chamber filled with skewed views and false histories.
gonzotx is free to be a Trump fangurl and keep acting like he’s the Right Wing Savior and the rest of us are heretics for questioning it. I’m not going to change her mind. As the saying goes, “You can’t reason someone out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into.”
What I can do is remind everyone else that there are other, equally valid points of view, and they can decide for themselves.
