Sen. Feinstein Briefly Hospitalized After Falling at Home
The 90-year-old senator spent an hour or two there but it will likely to lead to louder calls for her to resign.
The San Francisco Chronicle confirmed that Sen. Dianne Feinstein went to the hospital after she fell at her home.
Feinstein’s spokesman said the 90-year-old senator only spent an hour or two at the hospital.
Feinstein is in San Francisco because she was supposed “to attend an anniversary event” for the city’s cable cars on August 2nd. She missed it due to a cough.
I hope Feinstein’s okay.
But the fall, even if minor, will likely lead to louder calls for Feinstein to resign. However, Sen. Whitehouse said she shouldn’t resign because the Senate needs to confirm judges.
Feinstein spent three months away from the Senate due to shingles. She returned to the chamber in a wheelchair and needed help.
The senator has been relying a lot on her staff. A recent video showed her confused and needing help from an aide to vote in a committee meeting.
Feinstein already said she won’t run for reelection in 2025. She’ll be 92 years old by then.

Her replacement wouldn’t take her place on the Judiciary committee, though, leaving the committee deadlocked and unable to advance nominees.
It’s both. They would require cooperation from the GoP to replace her on the Judiciary committee which they won’t ge., Really it is more about the controversial picks b/c the Committee passed out a bunch of nominees in her absence; they need her vote for the total weirdos that were nominated.
Newsom has pledged to appoint a ‘black female’ as her replacement in the Senate if it becomes necessary so unless he breaks his pledge that means Schiff would be running against an incumbent black female in a d/prog primary. The d/prog diversity olympics in action has effectively put them into a box so Feinstein is gonna get the last oz of use drained out of her by power hungry zealots.
If she can get a black guy with an Afro to push that wheelchair she just might pull off an updated revival of Ironsides.
If she could get a guy with a full-face motorcycle helmet and a portable CPAP to push her, she could revive Return of The Jedi.
I wouldn’t shake those hands without linesmen’s gloves.
It may sound like semantics, but was she actually hospitalized— that is, formally admitted to the hospital— or was she simply evaluated in the ER and sent home after negative imaging? It certainly sounds more like an ER visit.
She “went to the hospital after she fell”. The operative word is “went” and not “admitted”. So yes, I’d assume she just went to the ER was checked out by the ER Doctors and then sent home after an “hour or two” of observation to make sure she wasn’t going to drop dead.
Just a fact of life for old people like Feinstein.

Why? I don’t. The sooner that old bat dies the better. And before anyone tells me that’s a heartless sentiment you need to remember that the democrat party hardly cares at all as they drag Feinstein out for every vote regardless of the fact she needs to be told how to vote by her handlers. So why should I care what happens to Diane Feinstein. She has definitely gone beyond her Best By date and needs to go one way or the other. Her choice.
