New York City: Black Female Teenagers Harass Asian Family, One Allegedly Attacks a Witness

“My glasses got broken. I’ve had headache for a couple of days now because my hair was pulled and so my scalp was very tender. I got like a whiplashy neck.”

Three black female teenagers allegedly attacked an Asian woman while shouting racist slurs, and one of them allegedly attacked a witness on the NYC subway.

I hate to play identity politics, but the left makes you believe only white people have assaulted Asian people:

The still-at-large teen was sitting with two other young girls aboard a southbound F train before she allegedly launched the assaults as the train was approaching the West 4th Street station around 8 p.m. Thursday, according to police and a report.

The trio of girls were shouting and cursing at the family before one allegedly pulled the hair of the 51-year-old mom, punched her repeatedly and made an “anti-ethnic remark” towards the victim, who is Asian, police said.

The apparent aggressor also allegedly punched a straphanger, Joanna Lin, who pulled out her phone to record the tumultuous scene, according to the footage Lin later posted to Instagram.

“I’m in shock & still at a loss for words except for what I documented on the reel,” Lin captioned the video. “I’ll be ok, just a bit sore on the head and tailbone.”

Lin also said, “Same girl saw me with the phone. She ran over, grabbed me by the hair, threw me on the ground and started punching me several times. And I was like, ‘You know what? Let me protect myself.’ Boxing stance. It doesn’t matter what gender or race, it should never happen.”

Sue Young told CBS New York the girls kept throwing insults at her and her family:

On Sunday night, CBS New York heard from that woman and another passenger, who said she also was assaulted.

Laughing and pointing, that’s how it started. Sue Young, who was visiting from Nevada, was hoping the group of young girls sitting across from her on an F train near West 14th Street on Thursday night weren’t making fun of her family, so she shared a laugh with them, which only made it worse.

“It was just insult, after insult, after insult. And, finally, my husband felt like he needed to step in and so he was like, ‘Can you use some better words besides those?'” Young said.

Young pushed away one of the girls when she saw them attacking Lin: “My glasses got broken. I’ve had headache for a couple of days now because my hair was pulled and so my scalp was very tender. I got like a whiplashy neck.”

Bystanders finally stood up for the family and Lin. They made sure all of them got off the train.

No amount of blacks-only internships or black-biased college admissions will solve the increasing feralization of black culture.

One notes that back in the bad old days when blacks were actually treated unfairly, their group behavior was much more civilized.

Whereas now, with only the fantasy of oppression by whites to sustain their lucrative victimhood, urban black behavior has devolved into jungle tribalism.

Forget illegals; the most unassimilated population in America is urban black youth.

Appalachia is having a crime spike to.

chrisboltssr in reply to Dolce Far Niente. | August 8, 2023 at 4:08 pm

Yep, that’s why I always ask the question: When will America get tired of black people? And as a black man it scares me that when that question does get answered its not going to be good for any black who acted civilized and dignified.

      txvet2 in reply to chrisboltssr. | August 8, 2023 at 4:53 pm

You’re right. Blacks who haven’t been part of the anarchy have good reason to be apprehensive of a future when the rest of the urban populace rebels against it, because the avenging mobs aren’t going to check resumes, they’re going to be seeing black faces. All the more reason to get out of the cities and become good friends with your suburban and exurban neighbors.

      JohnSmith100 in reply to chrisboltssr. | August 8, 2023 at 6:05 pm

Hands down Appalachian’s have a better culture than most blacks. I feel bad about it being inevitable that decent black people are likely to suffer for actions of disreputable blacks.

Eric R. in reply to chrisboltssr. | August 8, 2023 at 6:09 pm

I am trying to remember which black comic said it, but he said if he was worried about whites being racist to him, he would speak with a Caribbean accent.

There is clearly much less animosity, and more sympathy toward, black immigrants than native born black Americans.

Char Char Binks in reply to Dolce Far Niente. | August 8, 2023 at 7:13 pm

They weren’t treated unfairly. They learned early on to crybully to their advantage, garnering sympathy while committing crimes. They needed the whip to keep them in line; look how they behave without it

the easiest lesson to teach someone with a limited IQ is grievance

it takes more than a 90 IQ to reject it, for it is too easy to embrace and is a way to comfort one’s shortcomings

and this is true of all races, not just blacks

It is so difficult to stand up to racism in today’s society, because depending on the race of the racist you may find yourself in a losing battle. Racism is more than tolerated from black Americans. It is expected and encouraged.

Danny in reply to SeymourButz. | August 8, 2023 at 2:06 pm

What prevented intervention was the arrest of Daniel Penny.

New York pre-woke was not a good place to pick a fight on a train.

I see potential artistes in residence.

Very on brand for NYC.

Danny in reply to CommoChief. | August 8, 2023 at 2:02 pm

A decade ago those attackers would have been restrained and the NYPD would have booked them as soon as the train stopped.

Unfortunately modern New York is in no way similar.

I still remember when the Guardian Angels were patrolling the subways.

      Those were the days.

And people wonder why I refuse live anywhere near those shithole cities.

I see that those vicious, “white supremacist” Donald Trump supporters are using those incredibly lifelike “Mission: Impossible”-style latex masks to pass themselves off as youth “of color,” while they engage in their racist predations.

Remember, according to the vile and stupid Dumb-o-crats, we can’t punish and/or discipline wayward criminal youth “of color,” lest we turn them into the euphemistically-styled “justice-involved youth” and speed their path along the so-called “school-to-prison pipeline.”

Lucifer Morningstar in reply to guyjones. | August 8, 2023 at 12:20 pm

black goes after me and tries to do anything discipline and/or punishment is the last thing the black is going to have to worry about. Because I won’t just stand there and take it like this woman did. I’ll defend myself and that will be it.

I believe the videographer, Joanna Lin, is a known leftist agitator-influencer, and previous to the incident, had piled-on the white supremacy narrative.

The above needs fact checking.

Lucifer Morningstar | August 8, 2023 at 12:16 pm

Had sympathy for this person right up until she excused the violence as “bullying caused by juvenile delinquents” and that we “need to teach our youth not to hate and control their anger” and all the rest of the woke nonsense that has led us to this point. At that point I lost all sympathy for her.

We’ve pandered to the black far too long and it’s got to stop. We should no longer just accept this behavior from blacks. Time to admit that blacks aren’t just like everyone else and deal with them. Time to make blacks responsible for their illegal acts & actions as well as for their atrocious behavior. No more excuses. No more pandering.

The Packetman in reply to Lucifer Morningstar. | August 8, 2023 at 12:44 pm

““need to teach our youth not to hate and control their anger””

I want to know who, exactly, ISN’T teaching this to kids.

Lucifer Morningstar in reply to The Packetman. | August 8, 2023 at 5:14 pm

You make one assumption that is not correct. You assume that blacks want to learn these kinds of things when they do not and in reality they don’t need to lean those kind of things because nobody is willing to make blacks responsible for the act and actions. And blacks know that so they don’t even bother to act civilized. Why bother when nobody will hold them responsible for their uncivilized acts and actions. Too much work.

I wonder what would have happened if after the thug started pulling the woman’s hair and punching her, someone would have stepped with a weapon and taken down the thug? No doubt, such a good Samaritan would have been in a heap of trouble.

The Packetman in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | August 8, 2023 at 12:42 pm

The Good Samaritan would have been prosecuted …

iconotastic in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | August 8, 2023 at 3:19 pm

What weapon in NYC could be used in that situation? I have a small sap that would have worked but it is illegal. Do people have to carry a small bat? Is that legal? I have a small electro-shock defense device which would stop someone quickly but I doubt it is legal in NYC

coyote in reply to iconotastic. | August 9, 2023 at 9:36 am

Are there fire extinguishers on subways?

randian in reply to iconotastic. | August 9, 2023 at 1:55 pm

Carrying a bat isn’t yet illegal in NYC, though I’m sure they plan to eventually copy the UK, where it is illegal to carry anything as a weapon even if it has another reasonable purpose, like a sporting implement. No doubt if you use it in self-defense you will be deemed to have been carrying it as a weapon.

The Gentle Grizzly | August 8, 2023 at 12:28 pm

I get pummeled for this each time I say it, but, there were reasons for formal segregation.

Now, let’s take an informal poll here. How many – in their heart – believe that were it not for the revocation of freedom of contract in1964, that various businesses would still have “restricted clientele” signs in their windows?

chrisboltssr in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | August 8, 2023 at 4:10 pm

Forced integration has not been as much of a boon the civil rights activists would have you believe.

paracelsus in reply to chrisboltssr. | August 8, 2023 at 5:04 pm

Forced integration has not been a boon to Western Civilization; we are regressing rather rapidly to the level of Tribal African: music, art, social progress.
The only major difference is that Tribal Africa is aggressive and remain armed, whereas Western Civilization has become “civilized.”

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to chrisboltssr. | August 9, 2023 at 9:40 am

We for the most part got along fine before forced integration. We just went our separate ways when the 5 o’clock whistle blew.

Lucifer Morningstar in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | August 8, 2023 at 5:57 pm

I have a feeling that if it weren’t for the Civil Rights Acts (1958, 1964) and the mistaken belief that blacks are “just like everyone else” that has been forced upon White society most if not all businesses would still have the “Whites Only” sign in their window. And given the behavior of blacks they’d not be making a mistake doing so.

Scott Adams wasn’t incorrect. The vast majority of blacks hate Whites so why should Whites be forced to pander to blacks when it is so obviously detrimental to Western culture and White society. Perhaps it’s time to give blacks what they really want. A segregated society where they do not have to deal with Whites.

Not many. The left would still control the media and culture, and black attacks on such establishments would be encouraged by them. Out of a fear of violence, stores would not post them.

JohnSmith100 in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | August 8, 2023 at 7:37 pm

Now we have a severe problem with these people, the only cure will be an severe response.

Also, it must be asked — how utterly emasculated, cowed and feckless have men in New York City become, that they can’t even stand up to a bunch of belligerent, teen girl sociopaths? This is dismaying to witness.

And, the women in the video don’t get off the hook, either — where is their basic ability to defend themselves against this violence and aggression? They sit their, taking this violence and abuse without offering any resistance. Criminals prey on these people because they know that their victims are too meek to defend themselves.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to guyjones. | August 8, 2023 at 1:35 pm

Because everyone knows full well that Officer Friendly will arrest anyone who helps. Those men and women are weighing Doing the Right Thing against a 5- to 7-figure defense bill with no guarantees of being freed.

    That’s why.

Yes, that’s the sad and plain truth.

All of that aside, though, I submit that there is still a prevailing culture of cowardice/indifference/nonchalance, with respect to bystander interventions. Nobody wants to risk getting hurt or involved. This is a mindset that goes back to the 1970’s and the murder of Kitty Genovese.

CommoChief in reply to guyjones. | August 8, 2023 at 3:08 pm

We have folks who refuse to defend themselves and in many cases make no preparation to do so. Many folks operate under the illusion that we live in a civil society v the veneer of a civil society layered upon our violent animal instincts and tribal impulses.

In today’s litigious and warped upside down justice system it’s up to each person to defend themselves and their own. If someone is unwilling or unable to offer any defense they should make arrangements to be accompanied by someone who can and will be able to defend them. The era of strangers intervening on your behalf is just about over.

A Punk Named Yunk in reply to CommoChief. | August 9, 2023 at 11:05 am

      CommoChief said:
      > … it’s up to each person to defend themselves …
As some others have pointed out in this thread, anyone defending himself as appropriate will face with a 5-7 figure legal defense bill because you will have to prove your actions were not one iota more forceful than absolutely necessary. As if the victim has time to think of all alternatives before taking the action to defend himself.

No, you evil DA’s (Democrat a******s), defending yourself or intervening to stop a violent crime in progress is NOT vigilantism.

CommoChief in reply to A Punk Named Yunk. | August 9, 2023 at 6:31 pm

In the same sentence you selectively quoted from I also referenced the litigious reality of today’s environment and the warped upside down modern justice system.

The context here is the bitching, moaning and near demands of some for other folks to intervene and protect them when they refuse to do so for themselves. Why should a stranger risk injury, a civil suit, criminal prosecution and potential prison to assist some person they never met?

That’s not prudent. Especially when we consider that those most able to intervene effectively ate the same competent, traditionally masculine males who have been demonized for the past decade and half. Probably by the sort of woman who took the footage, hell probably by her personally.

That sort of intervention has, as you point out, been criminalized while the actions of the original assailant(s) are largely ignored. This refusal by some DA to prosecute has only emboldened more aggression by criminals and entitled, narcissists who know they face little to no punishment.

Tiki in reply to guyjones. | August 8, 2023 at 3:09 pm

How much time passed before people became aware of the black girl(s) starting in with the crap talk – and then escalating to physically grabbing on the Asian lady. Thirty seconds? One minute? I’d like to see the unedited video.

It takes more than two moments for third party observers to decide to react to a potentially dangerous situation. Near the end of the video – third party observers crowded in and blocked aggressive black girl(s) from further attack on the Asian family.

“Crowding in” was the appropriate response. We have the advantage in watching all of it in hindsight – and at safe remove. Inappropriate response would be hitting aggressive black girl(s) with a blunt object.

By the by. 10 months ago I was involved in a nearly identical situation. A hobo (white guy) was grabbing on a librarian at the local library (one-handed shoulder shaking) . A crowd of people were standing nearby gawking. Some were shouting.

It took me close to twenty-thirty seconds to decide to physically intervene. From awareness to decision. I choked him from behind. No one got hurt. Though I broke my $300 prescription glasses.

I also refused to be interviewed by police.

On Maui for the most part aggressive assaults are most transplant West Coast druggies or what look like Antifa advocates.

However, the end result of the assaults in often bad for the attacker.

A friend from the gym who is a former college wrestler told a story about a friend of his involved in such a situation. A small group of restaurants and take out places is right across the street from the beach. Two younger homeless guys were throwing bottles between the beach and the sidewalk. Some were breaking spreading broken glass.

The friend told them to stop and they starting cursing at him and one came and threw a punch that landed. The counter punch decked the homeless attacker. The other homeless guy was told to get his buddy and get the hell out of there or he would get the same. They both left.

At several islands the homeless druggies started hanging around the canoe clubs and scared the young kids and teenage girls who are part of the clubs. On the big island and Maui the locals told them to move on and not come back. On Maui it worked.

Fair point. Cops wonder why they are even losing the law abiding that had been on their side.

From what I see in videos on YouTube, few are capable of talking below yelling.

Most are so out of shape they should be ashamed of themselves.

There is a strong us-vs-them attitude. Anyone not-cop is a “civilian”. They talk about other cops as, “one of our own”. Some refer to “my town”. Oh, yes? Then, go perform an anatomically next to impossible act on yourself.

I grew up in Los Angeles, then attended college in San Diego. This taught me to keep my distance.

The police are doing a job. In my occasional encounters with law enforcement, I find that a smile and calm demeanor work wonders. I haven’t gotten a traffic ticket in decades (well, one, but it was bogus and the ADA threw it out), although I do on occasion get a warning ticket. (I didn’t even get that when I got stopped doing 85 in a 55 zone in downtown Louisville – the cop just told me to keep it under 65.) The LEOs are without exception, just as friendly and non-confrontational as I am, even as they do their job. You get treated the way you deserve, in my experience.

I think it was self-defense guru John Farnam who posed the question: suppose you had a neighbor with a health problem where she needed an expensive (~$100k) operation. Would you take our your checkbook and write her a check to cover it? Because that’s exactly what you’re doing when she gets attacked and you come to her defense.

There is no need to document the behavior as we all know it exists. The true crime is the documenting of the behavior.
Me me me, gimme gimme gimme.

The lower IQ race attacks the higher IQ race. It happens all over the world. Chinese expat merchants in other Asian countries, for example.

The belief must be that the high IQ is stealing from the low IQ and that’s why they don’t do as well, so protest is called for.

A belief that is encouraged in the US, leading to a black crime wave.

I look deep into my heart and I cannot find any excuse for such behavior.
These aren’t “Black girls”; these are feral animals whose skin has a high degree of melanin and whose mental apparatus is askew.
When incidents such as these occurred (what is now many years ago). such individuals were taken for evaluation and either imprisoned or placed in a mental institution, primarily to keep society safe from them.
We (the “bleeding heart liberals/Karens) have decided that all people are “good” (or have had a poor upbringing for which they MUST be forgiven) and Society/Western Civilization is paying the price for this ridiculous (and government-enforced) change in attitude.

There are two kinds of law: statutory law and case law. The former consists of “laws on the books.” The latter is how judges and juries resolve cases that come before them. A problem is that courts are generally supposed to follow precedents. If a precedent is Daniel Perry, it’s an even bigger problem.

The most damaging places whites attack Asians is in college admissions offices.

Every time I see some kind of fight break out, in a restaurant, or on a train or bus, it’s almost always young kids–in Chicago they take over the streets, vandalize and loot, and the idiot mayor says we’re the bad ones for calling a mob a mob

1) Asians, like non-Orthodox Jews, will foolishly continue to vote 70%D.

2) Asian nations should be speaking up in defense of their diaspora here (and I wish Israel would, too.). If the Federal Government starts seeing such attacks as impacting international relations, maybe they will be more determined to stop it.

Hey, no worries Asian folks . . . keep voting DEM!!

“Painful to share this incident” is a bizarre thing to say. Why is showing thugs for what they are painful?

The only thing closer to being attacked by a pack of rabid wild animals is being attacked by a pack of rabid wild animals.
