The radical left has become obsessed with turning ordinary American gun owners into instant felons with anti-Constitutional gun bans. They talk about it all the time. From Democrat presidential hopefuls screeching “hell yes, we’re going to take” your guns to Biden’s constant attempts to ban this, tax that, and regulate the other thing related to firearms (ammo, bump stocks, etc.).
They love nothing more than the senseless slaughter of innocents by deranged lunatics (usually with guns they’ve obtained illegally) because they think they can use every tragedy to spur an Australia-style surge of public support for a gun ban. It won’t happen, not the least because Congress cannot ban guns without first amending the Constitution. But they keep hoping. And they keep trying.
One sheriff in Florida has had enough of the crazy, and in a now-viral video, he lays it out for reporters. The press conference is in response to the apprehension of two juveniles in the shooting deaths of three teens in Marion County, Florida.
The suspects allegedly obtained the firearms from cars they broke into. There are laws against breaking into cars, against stealing, and against shooting people. Oddly, criminals tend not to abide by the law.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods on Friday slammed “society,” “school districts” and gun law rhetoric after announcing the arrests of two juveniles — one of whom is just 12 years old — in connection with the recent killings of three teenagers in Florida.
A third juvenile suspect remains at large, and the attorney general’s office is weighing whether to charge all three suspects as adults, Woods said during a press conference.
“The fact is: society fails them. We do not hold our juveniles accountable. We minimize their actions,” Woods said Friday.
. . . . The sheriff also criticized media and others who put the blame on guns after a shooting.
“There are individuals out there viewing … who want to blame the one thing that has no ability or the capacity to commit the crime itself, and that’s the gun,” Woods said. “These individuals committed the crime.”

“A simple burglary, as some people would say — but I don’t consider anything ‘simple’ when it comes to a burglary — if the law allows me, I’ll plaster their face up … on my page, on media, I will hand it out if the law allows me because parents have the right to know who their kids are hanging out with and preventing this,” Woods said.

Dem prosecutors can’t plead gun felonies down to misdemeanors fast enough while charging self defense as murder.

I’ve had this argument with people over the new concealed carry law in Florida.

Can’t seem to get them to understand that even under the old CCW law the bad guys still got the guns. It’s really baffling how some humans can’t seem to understand simple things like that. I feel as if I’m a different species at times.
This is a reversion back to the days of trees, stones, crystals and other objects having spirits. Gaia being the foremost god/spirit for them. Fashion an object out of metal and wood… now metal and plastic and it takes over the person. As one prof wrote… the trigger pulls the finger.
Mantra for the Left…. “With individual weakness, we have community safety… with individual helplessness we have community security”.
It’s part and parcel with the stupid push polls asking people “Are you in favor of more gun control?”
If you follow up (the MSM never do) by asking the “yes” people to give an example of a new law that is needed, usually they respond with some slogan that’s recently in the news, like “ban assault weapons” or “close the boyfriend loophole.”
But if they give you a different suggestion, like as not it will be one that has already been a law for decades… such as, “make it illegal to carry a gun into a school,” “people who have been in prison shouldn’t be allowed to buy guns,” “people shouldn’t be able to go to a gun store and buy a machine gun,” and so on.
A poll that asks you if there should be “more” X, when the respondent has absolutely no concept of how much X currently exists, is nothing but advocacy activism. The results tell you nothing.
The media went nuts. He was portrayed as jumping on this from the get go without interaction with the press. Every gun-control cop starts out with a gun tirade or similar talking points. Remember when police chiefs for control were dressed in their uniforms for Handgun Control ads… strictly against city policy?.
A screwed up woman kills six, and three legislators (with bullhorn) disrupt the legislature ,,, and all we hear about is racism and gun control. Oregon booted a Republican legislator for ushering in protestors in 202o. Two tiers all the way. Ben Shapiro called for hardened tit for tat … MAD… to knock some little sense into their heads. A little late.
If guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.

There are a number of big city district attorneys who refuse to prosecute felons arrested for gun possession. Why? Because a disproportionate number of those arrested (it is said) are minorities, and thus such prosecutions are “discriminatory”.
Ponder that a moment. One of the central tenets of gun control is that felons are not permitted to possess firearms. It’s one of the few things we can all agree on regardless of our underlying political beliefs. Felons can’t have guns, and police, when they spot a felon with a gun, arrest them.
So we have big city district attorneys demanding more ‘gun control’ while refusing to do the very first thing that would help lower crime — jug felons who possess a firearm.
And no one in the media, of course, calls them on this.
The vast majority of legacy media won’t call them out B/C the goal of the d/prog DA’s isn’t to control crime but to control Citizens. A goal the vast majority of the legacy media, our credentialed class and laptop class agree with.
The gun charge is the first thing to get dropped, or plea bargained away. The cops don’t need it in most cases of real crime, because they have a better charge to hang on the guy. Why don’t they go for that charge AND the gun charge? You’re asking the wrong guy, they just don’t.
The ONLY time they press the gun charge is when they have absolutely nothing else — either it’s a “paperwork” or “technical” crime they used as an excuse to haul you in, or their “better” charge turns into a pumpkin and leaves them empty, so they resurrect the gun charge.
The whole charade just underscores the claim that gun control has nothing to do with criminal control, it has to do with control of law-abiding citizens.
Well I think it high time we just make killing people without justification illegal!

It’s so commonplace we don’t even notice. First, they give themselves permission to violate who they please. They ditch the covenant of civilization, assuming we’ll figure that out too late.
The Apparatus doesn’t want you taking care of yourself vs. people who abandoned the peaceful covenant. Guns are just more effective agency for that — harmful only used by people who have abandoned civilization first.
For The Apparatus, it’s a kind of control. With your own agency and armed, yr not necessarily any Goblin’s victim. Bereft of agency and means, you survive only with their protection; by their sufferance.
