Biden: Classified Documents Found in Locked Garage are Safe Because His ‘Corvette’ is Also In It
You might not want to bring up your fancy car when people are having a hard time feeding their family.
News broke about a second set of classified documents found in President Joe Biden’s garage in Delaware right before his press conference about the economy.
Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked him about the documents.
Biden said the documents are safe because they’re in a locked garage with his Corvette.
Doocy: "So the materials were in a locked garage?"
Biden: "Yes, as well as my Corvette…People know I take classified documents and classified materials seriously…We're cooperating fully…My lawyers reviewed other places…We're going to see all this unfold. I'm confident" pic.twitter.com/GOFBkJcatO

And Merrick Garland will give an official statement at 1:15 today.
Most likely he will say that “there was no intentional wrongdoing, nothing to see here. Look a squirrel! We are raiding Mar-A-Lago again.”
Anyways, the whole thing keeps getting fishier by the minute.
He’s appointing a special counsel, whose sole function will be to keep any House oversight committee from initiating an investigation and/or gaining access to any of these classified documents.
The Onion was correct, he is Diamond Joe.
Too bad they scrubbed all those funny stories.
It was nothing under Trump and it’s nothing under Biden. At the top level they opt out of security procedures that slow work down.
Regular grunts get control numbers and regular audits to confirm your registered documents are in your safe and unregistered stuff is not. That’s a procedure they opt out of at the top, is all.
Can you point to the law or court opinion that allows anyone other than POTUS to “opt out” of the laws concerning classified documents? (Rhetorical question. I know you cannot.) That may be how it’s done (a la Hillary’s “home server”), but that doesn’t make it legal.
I am reminded of an old SNL skit concerning another vice-president and a lockbox.

That’s the skit that gave us “strategery”. SNL would never do anything that fair and balanced today.
They should check the trunk of the Corvette.
The narrative would have been different it the vehicle had been an old rusted out F150.
A few basic questions. Who made the initial discovery at the UPenn location? What was their first action upon discovery? What was the order of notification; Biden then his Attorneys then WH counsel then DoJ? Attorneys don’t usually pack up boxes in offices so I ain’t buying the whole ‘my attorneys found it’ line.
Not that it matters when those Attorneys lacked any basis of a need to know irrespective of any clearance they may possess. The information in those documents were at risk of disclosure which is evident because persons without need to know had access to them.
In sum, these docs were not:
1. Subjected to review by National Archives for retention
2. Were not stored IAW applicable security requirements
3. Were not handled IAW with the appropriate access requirements
That’s before the discovery. Post discovery I would suggest that, at a minimum, a search conducted by private attorneys alone simply exposes more of the same problems in each separate batch found. Then lets add the reporting requirements and that pain in the ass process. This is far worse than Trump’s dispute with the Archivist which, let us recall, was used as a predicate for an FBI raid.
I imagine that if classified documents were found in Biden’s possession under Trump’s circumstances, Dems would be falling all over themselves to excuse it. And if classified documents were later found in Trump’s possession under Biden’s circumstances, Dems would be filled with rage at Trump’s “irresponsibility” and demand the he be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Arrogance and stupidity all in the same package. How efficient!
Paraphrasing Londo Molari. It seemed particularly relevant here.
But Trump’s stash was just as safe in his home vault, because Melania’s panties were also in it.
It’s a well-known federal standard that when you don’t have an alarmed and Faradayed SCIF room in your summer home to store your national security information, a Clopay garage door lock is a perfectly acceptable substitute.
So the Secret Service also works as car mechanics, nice to know
I’d like to know the subject of these documents so we can know what might have been leaked (or in the case of Biden, sold).
Probably blackmail information on Joe’s Ukranian money launderers.
Did you ever wonder how this guy Biden came to be the nominee and with Obama’s support no less ?
Obama despised him, he represented white privilege and was a babbling dolt, a barrel of gaffes and he was stuck saying nice things about him in public for 8 years.
So how did Joe get the nomination?
