Liberals Mock Republicans’ Effort to Protect Supreme Court Justices After Threat to Kavanaugh

Following the very real threat to the life of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Republicans are reupping their efforts to protect judges on the court and their families.
The threats are escalating, with Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s church and family now targeted.

Liberals, who constantly claim to be the good guys, are mocking them for their efforts.

GOP pushes for SCOTUS security bill after arrest near Kavanaugh’s house
Republicans are calling on the House to pass a stalled bill aimed at expanding security protection to the families of Supreme Court justices after police arrested an armed man near the home of Justice Brett Kavanaugh early Wednesday morning.
The bill passed the Senate by unanimous consent last month, soon after publication of a leaked draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade. The leak sparked protests outside the homes of Chief Justice John Roberts, Kavanaugh and Justice Samuel Alito, who penned the draft opinion.
But the legislation has stalled in the House, where top Democrats have said that protection should also be extended to judicial clerks and staff.
The 26-year-old man California man who traveled to Kavanaugh’s house told a detective that “he was upset about the leak of a recent Supreme Court draft decision regarding the right to abortion as well as the recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas,” according to an affadavit.
“This is exactly – exactly why the Senate passed legislation very shortly after the leak to enhance the protection for justices and their families,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Wednesday.

Republicans are proposing increased security for SCOTUS exactly as they have proposed for schools, but liberals are in too much of a rush to mock their efforts to understand this. What Republicans did not do in response to the attempted murder of Kavanaugh is urge confiscation of guns, pepper spray or the other items in the perp’s bag.

Nancy Pelosi, who put up a wall around the Capital for weeks following J6, doesn’t see any need for special protection measures for the Supreme Court.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got in a huff with a reporter while insisting Thursday that Supreme Court justices have adequate protection — even after a serious bid to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his Maryland home was foiled just a day earlier.
As Pelosi left her weekly press conference, she stopped to address a reporter who shouted: “You said the justices are protected, but there was an attempt on Justice Kavanaugh’s life.”
“And he’s protected,” Pelosi snapped back. “He’s protected. The justices are protected.”
Congressional Republicans have urged the House to approve a Senate-passed bill that would give the nation’s leading jurists and their families the same level of security as legislators and White House officials. The Senate passed the bill by unanimous consent, but the measure has languished before the House for the past month.

Two days ago on The Five, Dana Perino said that if Biden and Pelosi don’t get this done immediately, they are complicit in the attempt and anything that follows. She is exactly right.

This is also an attempt to intimidate the court into deciding the liberals way. They are saying to the justices that they better decide with the left, or there lives and their family’s lives will be at stake.
Exactly. This is a “You ain’t seen nothing yet” message to change their vote. Given that I think the decision should have been released shortly after the leak, I would not bet the message won’t work.
It wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility that Roberts is withholding the decision in the expectation that the threats will work on Barrett and/or Kavanaugh.
Of those two, I suspect Barrett has the bigger juevos.
Funny how the lefty justices don’t need any protection. That speaks volumes of the mindset of lefties and those on the right.

And Patton Oswalt’s right about one thing … everyone in the Kavanaugh, Barrett, Alito, Thomas, and Gorsuch households need to be armed, trained, and given very loose rules of engagement.

The liberal equivalent of their “mass shooting” reflex response would be clamoring to confiscate Kavanaugh’s firearms, and those of the other justices and their families.
Pelosi and Schumer, by reason of their inaction and rhetoric, are directly responsible for illegal demonstrations having segued into threats of murder against the Justices.
The inaction on upping permanent security for SCOTUS is petty and vindictive. People see it for what it is.

Not only did Pelosi put up a wall, on the anniversary of the J6 incident, she called out the National Guard despite no specific threat! Once again leftists show their true colors… protection for me, but not thee is their motto.
That big decision could come down on Monday or Wednesday next week, by the way. Suddenly the left will support violent protests again.
If the House passes the bill does anyone think the occupant will sign it? He wants another SCOTUS pick by any means necessary. I also think Nancy might be holding it up to deflect public anger away from the administration in order to shore up their sinking approval ratings.
The Justices should all arm themselves and their families. Simply take out the threat at the start.

Not a lawyer or legal scholar but can a state, specifically Maryland or Virginia, pass a law making it also a state crime to protest outside a Supreme Court Justices home. This would grant the power to a state law enforcement officer to arrest and prosecute an offender. Would this be a legal path to take as long as the text mirrors the federal wording as much as possible?

What the Marxists like Pelosi and Schumer want is for one or more of their Zealots to actually assassinate one or more Justices so that Biden could nominate additional Marxists to the Bench.
