Oregon Governor Declares Victory Over Feds, DHS Says We’re Not Going Anywhere Yet
DHS needs assurance that nothing will happen to federal property.
The Democrats and leftists will no doubt claim victory after Oregon Gov. Kate Brown tweeted that federal agents will leave Portland starting tomorrow.
Department of Homeland Security Security Chad Wolf brought it down a notch or two.

Our local Oregon State Police officers will be downtown to protect Oregonians’ right to free speech and keep the peace. Let’s center the Black Lives Matter movement’s demands for racial justice and police accountability. It’s time for bold action to reform police practices.

But a statement from acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf offers no timeline and suggests that the drawdown process will not be immediate.
“The Department will continue to maintain our current, augmented federal law enforcement personnel in Portland until we are assured that the Hatfield Federal Courthouse and other federal properties will no longer be attacked and that the seat of justice in Portland will remain secure,” Wolf said.
He also said:
Wolf said he and Brown had agreed to a joint plan to end “violent activity” in the city aimed at federal buildings.
“State and local law enforcement will begin securing properties and streets, especially those surrounding federal properties, that have been under nightly attack for the past two months,” Wolf said in the statement.
“Oregon State Police will coordinate with Federal Protective Service (FPS) officers to ensure all federal facilities remain protected and secure,” he added.
Portland has been a mess for weeks. For 62 nights in a row, people have attacked federal property, federal agents, vandalized buildings, etc. The destruction only comes at night.
Byron York noted that Brown did not mention the federal courthouse. I blogged on Monday about an AP reporter’s experience in the courthouse with the federal agents.
The agents did not respond until the rioters attacked the building.
Rioters pointed green lasers at the agents inside the courthouse, causing visual problems and some blindness.
They tried to saw through the fence. Others threw “rocks, cans of beans, wattle bottles, potatoes and rubber bouncy balls.” Here’s more:
The firework came whizzing over the fence so fast that the agent didn’t have time to move.
It exploded with a boom, leaving his hearing deadened and bloody gashes on both forearms. Stunned, with help from his cohorts, he stripped to his boxer shorts and a black T-shirt so his wounds could be examined and photographed for evidence.
He told his fellow agents he was more worried about his hearing than about the gouges and burns on his arms.
By the end of the night, five other federal agents would be injured, including another who got a concussion when he was hit in the head with a commercial-grade firework. One agent was hospitalized. Several agents have lingering vision problems from the lasers.
After each night of protest, they seize dozens of homemade shields, slingshots, blocks of wood and chunks of concrete.
“My friends have been hit in the head with hammers. I know people who have been shot with fireworks. It’s disgusting,” said the Deputy U.S. Marshal who’s been at the courthouse for weeks. “I’ve never thought I’d have to walk around in my office building wearing a gas mask to go sit in front of my computer.”
The agents fear for their lives. Remember, the agents do not use tear gas or react unless rioters attack them first.

There’s a great deal of “artful wording” in all that. I don’t expect anything much to happen; just enough for that fool of a governor to pretend she’s coming out on top. They have acted as an occupying force & brought violence makes it obvious that she’s in La-La Land.

The fact that she had to lie and say it was a “leave and we’ll protect” rather than the “we’ll show we will protect, then you can leave” deal it actually is, is pretty telling of how weak her position was in all this. I think the feds were too restrained. They should have been snatching up and charging every laser pointer holder and a lot of others. They would have been doing locals a big favor given the criminal history of many of these anarchists.

She fits the profile of a “BLM” supporter, angry white female. She said she’d take care of it. If that means burning the entire city to the ground, and she wants to take credit for that, fine.

The Feds aren’t going anywhere until they are certain the courthouse is safe and secure. Which won’t be anytime soon.
Regardless of the election results this November – which must now be considered highly suspect since a growing number of blue cities are open war zones where massive cheating will be easy – I believe Biden, Harris, Pelosi and the rest of the Communist Party are committed to shooting their way into power if they feel it is necessary.
Plan accordingly, folks.
If there is a signed agreement between Brown and Wolf, it should be posted for all to see.
It’s pretty apparent why her tweet is a lie; she’s agreed to protect the very federal building(s) and law enforcement people that Antifa/BLM have been attacking for 2 months. That pits her in opposition to the movement.
This lauded “hero” of the movement actually sold them out. When they figure that out, Governor, they’ll come for you.
The Federal courthouse will be destroyed as a symbol of “white power”. Brown has no intention of protecting it, and will order her militia to stand down while the brownshirts run wild.
No doubt. By any means possible.
And in the aftermath, Feds ought indict Brown and drag her off in chains.
Make it a deal she can’t refuse… Feds leave and everything that happens to federal property happens to Portland and Salem state property along with hers and governor’s private property.
I’m fairly confident (but have been way wrong before) that the process will run roughly as follows:
– Governor declares victory, says police will protect Fed courthouse
– Feds say “Yeah, we’ll believe it when we see it, and pull out then.”

– Local Marxists go bonkers happy, load up on firebombs and prepare to assault the Federal courthouse to burn it down.
– Police make a token effort to defend the courthouse, and flee after receiving orders from above.
– Feds have to use more tear gas and rubber bullets than ever before, make dozens of arrests, multiple injuries on each side.
– Feds and Governor blame each other

Actually, around 8PM it sounded like a lot of fireworks going off in downtown a couple of miles down the hill from me. We are in the 4th day of pretty hot weather and you can that the natives are getting edgy. My Newspaper box memes have been mostly along the lines of “Kate Brown” in “The Grinch who stole Summer.” I have done a good job of not letting this affect me, but I can tell that many many others are sliding into batshit crazy. It would not surprise me if some are sleeping in their masks.
“Is this the USA? Looks like a war zone. Send in the National Guard, tanks, copters with those daylight spots and whatever it takes to keep our protectors safe. Settle this mess down.”

Scenario 1. State Police are allowed to effectively do so.

Scenario 2. State Police are not allowed to effectively protect the courthouse perimeter.
PDJT – ‘This betrayal of the Gov to perform her duty to protect taxpayer property demonstrates why DHS was needed.’
In any event the Gov is now on record obligated to protect the federal courthouse. Now she must deliver.
I don’t want to come across as something I’m not. Back in my younger days when I gave blood on the weekends (also known as playing Rugby) I still wasn’t the toughest man I knew. Green Berets, SEALs, EOD divers, Pararescuemen. Scary tough guys.

OK. I scrolled up and somebody mentioned the governor of Oregon is a woman.
I would say I’d never hit a lady. And I won’t. But I grew up in Oakland. I tried to live up to that ideal, until I ran into a female who picked me up and body slammed me because I stopped her from stealing.
All righty. All bets were off. After I kicked her ass and got back from the hospital because she gnawed on my shoulder (mostly she gummed me as she only had teeth on one side of her mouth). This is important as someone gave her a beating and knocked the other half of her teeth out. I tried to treat her decently but, man, was she ghetto.
I’m only going to mention she was black because my black co-workers gave me advice I’ve never forgotten. When they are that ugly you have to beat them just like a man.

Feds should use blue paint for those rioters that are doing the damage. Let the criminals wander around town with the blue paint all over themselves and everyone will know they’re criminals because of the paint.
If the rioting resumes and the feds do their duty and return, the wealthy white mayor who lives on a mansion on a lake shore with a police guard will claim betrayal. “We had an agreement and Trump sent his storm troopers back.” The inherent and ineradicable deceit of the left cannot be exaggerated.

Which is why I don’t go to bars anymore. If I’m going to drink I’ll do it at home where it’s safe. Or a friend’s home.
If anyone thinks I’m bragging about how tough I am, or was, you couldn’t be more wrong. But I’ve been in a lot of fights and I tried to avoid all of them. You never know who the other guy is, what kind of training or experience he (or she) has or if when they are on the verge of losing they’re going to pull a knife or a gun.
Probably the ugliest fight I had was against a woman. And note I don’t refer to her as a lady. I was clerking in a grocery store and she walked in with an empty tote bag, flat against her side, and tried to walk out with a bulging bag. She wasn’t stealing because she was hungry. She only took the most expensive items. Coffee, canned hams, tequila. So I took it away from her.
She came back and called me a bitch and she was going to cut me up. I forgot exactly what words I used but it was along the lines of go fuck yourself. So she picked me up and slammed me against the wall. At that point I figured chivalry was out the window and I kicked her as.
I don’t take being called a bitch well.
So after I left the hospital because she chewed on my shoulder and I needed a tetanus shot I was like, never again. I was only 16 but I realized that while I was perfectly capable of beating her I could have died of the infection. Which hardly solves the problem.
Like I mentioned, you just never know what the other person is willing and capable of doing to win or just survive the fight.
But I’m still no one’s bitch.
When protestors cross the line which includes acts of sedition and/or disrupting the lives of other innocent people, blocking their movement, violent acts, or stopping them from accomplishing their jobs or purpose, blocking their speech, and/or unnecessarily interfering with the activities of their environment, or smear tactics, then they are violating their Constitutional rights, 1st amendment rights, breaking existing laws, and need to be brought to justice. Protesting has its limits and place. These protests are not spontaneous and are organized activities by outside domestic terrorist groups. Many are paid by George Soros, BLM, Antifa, and related extreme liberal groups ( Obama). Those who incite and/or fund riots/looting/arson (George Soros) need to be arrested for being an accomplice and/or sedition. They need to account and pay for the damage they create including costs created by obfuscation. Rioters and looters/arsonists should be placed on notice that they can/will be shot! Likewise any rioter/looter/arsonist arrested who lives outside of the immediate area does not have a “dog in the fight” and deserves an additional citation for being a paid rioter/looter and face felony charges. It is a federal crime to cross state lines or to use interstate facilities to incite or participate in violent rioting. Those rioters/arsonists arrested need to have a criminal/outstanding warrant background check, students need to be expelled, and all face loss of any government subsistence. Unmasking and disarming protestors of weapons should be enforced and Mayors, governors, government officials allowing out of control riots or preventing the police from doing their jobs should be arrested and held accountable.
I hate the probable fact that the real issue is we have a segment of our society that feels destroying other people’s lives when they face adversity is justified.
