USA Today Trump Campaign Shirt ‘Fact Check’ – That American Eagle Looks Like Nazi Symbol
USA Today “Clarification: The claim that Trump 2020 has put out a T-shirt with a symbol similar to a Nazi eagle and is being criticized for it is true. Worth noting, the eagle is a longtime US symbol, too.”
USA Today is under fire for publishing one of the most biased, ridiculous (ridicule-worthy), and culturally illiterate “fact checks” of all time. Or at least, given the TDS-addled tenor of the leftstream media in recent years, this week.
The left-wing activists masquerading as journalists at USA Today pounced on the representation of an eagle on Trump merchandise. The eagle, they breathlessly proclaim, is a “Nazi symbol.”
The claim: Trump campaign shirts feature imperial eagle, a Nazi symbol
Our ruling: True https://t.co/3eCiYdgQvK
— USA TODAY (@USATODAY) July 12, 2020
You can’t make this stuff up.
From the bizarre and laughably ill-informed USA Today “fact check” article:
President Donald Trump’s campaign website recently unveiled a T-shirt that has come under fire because of design similarities between its logo and a Nazi symbol.
The similarity was first noticed, according to Forward, by two Twitter accounts, Bend the Arc: Jewish Action, described as a Jewish progressive group, and the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump group formed by Republicans.
“The President of the United States is campaigning for reelection with a Nazi symbol. Again,” Bend the Arc tweeted on July 1.
But wait, USA Today has feverishly scanned random Facebook posts to find some random who notes that the eagle is a Nazi symbol.
Several Facebook posts have noted the similarities, as well. One user noted, “Trump is now selling straight up nazi propaganda shirts.”
What the hell? “One user” is now the definitive source for USAToday? That’s a basement below the “anonymous source.” Gee, I found a random loon from Wokeville, USA who said the eagle is a Nazi symbol. Yay, journalism 2020.
Okay, at this point you might be wondering what kind of illiterate morons are working at USAToday? Um, the kind that tweet this garbled, illiterate nonsense:
Clarification: The claim that Trump 2020 has put out a T-shirt with a symbol similar to a Nazi eagle and is being criticized for it is true. Worth noting, the eagle is a longtime US symbol, too.
— USA TODAY (@USATODAY) July 12, 2020
Everything is wrong with this tweet. Of course.
The “Nazi” eagle is featured on most prominent Democrats’ website, on most cabinet member’s stationary/websites, and of course, on American currency.
For example, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi features the “Nazi” eagle on her website:
But Nancy’s good, right? pic.twitter.com/340sKx4GyK
— Me Chomper (@chmpr) July 12, 2020
Following your logic (Of which, there really isnt any logic involved at all, but then you are USA Today), then @SpeakerPelosi has worn her Nazi symbol openly and proudly upon her shoulder on many, many occasions. pic.twitter.com/4WY6ciPi5X
— Burly Zebra ?️? ?? (@SaysBurlyZebra) July 12, 2020
The “Nazi” eagle is not a “Nazi” eagle, of course. The bald eagle is a national symbol for the United States of America and pre-dates the Nazi use of the image. Eagle or turkey?, once mused Ben Franklin, but whatever his wishes, the bald eagle stood.
But hey, USA Today, don’t let the facts get in the way of the narrative. “Woke” apparently means “ignorant,” “foolish,” “self-defeating,” and “ridiculous.”
After all, there has to be some payoff for dumbing down America’s education system from K-college, and if lying outright about America and being believed by morons isn’t the goal, what’s the point, right?

The Romans used an eagle symbol almost 2000 years before there even a United States of Nazo Germany. I suppose USAToday never looked up that fact either.
Weird how usa today didn’t fact check antifa’s symbols. Must have not gotten around to it yet.
Annnny daaaaaaaaay now I’m sure.
At least the hammer and sickle aren’t Nazi symbols. Am I right? Uh?
Does anyone buy a copy of or advertise in USA Today anymore? If so, why? If you ever have such an impulse, just say “No.”
No one buys Useless today, it’s just the McPaper that is handed out at hotels across the country. It’s a loss leader pumped out by Gannett and kept going to support Gannett’s political ideology.
Making money has nothing do with it.
I have found the paper to be very useful in some of my hotel stays. Stuff it into your wet sneakers when you go to bed and they will be dry in the morning.
Remember that “like a god” guy …

The one who built the southern slave plantation on stage you mean?
Franklin was prescient in that case, that one IS a “turkey”!
If you think everyone is a racist, every symbol can becomes racist.
Just ask the US Army…

And that’s not all, check out what else is on their triangle. SMH.
Their “clarification” is bull crap.
In their original post they did NOT say that Trump’s campaign “has put out a T-shirt with a symbol similar to a Nazi eagle.”
They said “Trump campaign shirts feature imperial eagle, a Nazi symbol.”
Nothing about “similar“. They downright called it the “imperial eagle” and a “nazi symbol” when everybody and their cousin knows our eagle is called the Bald Eagle.
They are lying sacks of Schiff.
What would say about this?

Antifa crashes an anti-pedophilia event in Ireland, attacks attendees as fascists.
That video would have been more entertaining if more Antifa had shown up. Would have resulted in a real punch up.
Also note the reaction of the males in the anti-pedo crowd. OODA in operation!
Marine Corps, too. Semper fi.
And, the Caduceus. Evil.
That said, the closest symbol to normalize Nazi, Maoist philosophy in modern use is PP (of life deemed unworthy of life and Mengele – reduced, reused, recycled – clinical fame). #WickedSolution
Ha! I’ve always wondered about those Jarheads. No surprise they are often seen as Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children.
Me? Army. USMC found out my parents were married. :)) Semper Fi my brothers.
Like said above: that eagle has been THE USA since the beginning. The fact that the woke have to keep coming up with this crap, as well as manufacturing “racial” events, tells us there is no substance to all their claims; its just losers whining.
The fact checkers deserve four straw clowns.
Roosevelt’s National Recovery Act had a blue Eagle as its symbol. I guess he too was a white supremacist?
Or a secret Bonapartist. Or maybe a Hohenzollern.
Roosevelt’s National Recovery Act had a blue Eagle as its symbol. I guess he too was a white supremacist? But learns history these days any way?
Who learns history? Very few… part of the problem.
Fact checkers are the latest group of fraud propagandists. They impose their biases, write articles to support their far left leanings, then use those very same articles as “proof” to make claims against Conservatives and the Right.
History means nothing to them.
It is all about pushing the hate and despite the “backlash”, the story they pushed stands as if true.
We need to either dissolve this union, with the left going their way and we going ours, or we will be in civil war. There is no way we can keep going down this course. A broken Justice system. A party that wants to overthrow the Constitution and our history, RINOs like Romney who play right into this, we are at the cross road. Will we look at this and go non-violently toward a Amexit, or will we fight to save the dying Republic? Is it worth it?
Remember, this is from the side that wants “fact-checkers” at the presidential debates. A troop of chimpanzees would do a better job just randomly hitting buttons labeled “True” and “False.”
Like the Rorschach test, you see what you want to.

Worth noting: Hitler was a socialist and vegetarian who loved animals, views identical to today’s woke college students.
My short list of similarities between the Nazi party and today’s “woke” Democrats:
Neither tolerate dissent, either internal or external (within or without the party).
Both punish(ed) those who speak out in opposition with personal “cancellation” (loss of life/job).
Both believe in the nationalization of industry (e.g., healthcare and energy) for the benefit of “the people.”
The purpose of the SA/Antifa was/is to protect Nazi/leftist meetings and disrupt opposition meetings and to harass members of the opposition.
Both support(ed) the creation of a police state.
Both use “the big lie” (e.g. “Hands up, don’t shoot” and “institutional racism”).
Both indoctrinate and use children and youth for political effect and advantage (Hitler Youth, Greta Thunberg, American universities).
Both obsessed with race and identity politics.
Both position themselves as “victims,” and identify (and direct their hatred towards) a particular group (Jews/white people) as their oppressors.
Both ideologies preach the seizure of wealth from their oppressors (Jews/white people) and its distribution to the oppressed (“good” Germans/minorities and other marginalized people).
Both wage economic warfare against opponents (Nazis organized boycotts of Jewish-owned businesses and, prewar, orchestrated demonstrations against retailers who sold American goods, and universities, businesses, and professional organizations were purged of anyone who had a whiff of anti-Nazi sentiment, Jews, Catholics, and other “undesirables”).
Both dream of a perfected society. (While the only rational goal would be to establish a society that can be made more nearly perfect. There is a difference in that the people striving for the latter know that perfection is unobtainable – improvement will not lead to perfection.)
“What we need are not one or two hundred daring conspirators, but a hundred thousand fighters for our ideology. The work should not be carried on in secret, but in mighty mass processions. Not through daggers and poisons and pistols can the way be opened for National Socialism, but through the conquest of the streets.”
Adolf Hitler (letter to Franz Pfeffer von Salomon, interim SA commander)
– Both had armed paramilitary units that operated in open defiance (and often in direct confrontation with) law enforcement.
– Both ignored draconian laws governing the ownership of firearms (so much for “sensible common-sense” gun control).
– Both gleefully tore down statues and defaced and destroyed works of art.
– Both were profoundly pro-censorship and eliminated books, plays and films in a very public manner. Both blacklisted and persecuted those writers and artists who refused to go along with their bloodthirsty ideas.
– Both openly rewrote history to fit their totalitarian ideology.
– Both were virulently anti-Semitic. This point cannot be over-emphasized.
– Worst of all, both were strongly supported by “mainstream” Christian clergy, professors, teachers, journalists, scientists, artists, business leaders, military heroes and others who fancied themselves as morally and intellectually superior to the unwashed heathen proles.
Wait until they realize Pelosi’s brooch is an Eagle over a (gasp) Fasces! The historical symbol of Fascism!!!
History and Context. How do we do them again?
They must have conniption fits whenever they see the two bas relief fasces flanking the podium in the House of Representatives. Or the reverse of the Mercury dime. Can’t blame those on PDJT. Once again, it’s all the fault of those damn Romans.
They probably think lictors refers to something dirty.
I Lictor. And It Was Good!
Point of order: They actually CAN blame that on PDJT.
The fact is that their blame has no factual basis, but when has that ever stopped them?
Note how the vile Dhimmi-crats are fond of making fallacious and outrageous comparisons of Republicans to German National Socialists, even while they make common cause with, and, empower, the biggest Jew-haters in American society, today — reprobates such as Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, and, of course, prominent politicians within the Dhimmi-crat tent, itself, such as the odious Muslim supremacists and bigot-ingrates, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
FYI: Bend the Arc Jewish Action is run by the same gentile, who fakes being Jewish worse than Shaun King fakes being black, who runs the Yes You’re Racist twitter. They gaslight unbelievably stupid examples of what they consider racism. If you are ever wronged by them, just reach out to any of the people “misidentified” as Charlottesville protesters on whom to sue for slander and defamation. To repeat, Bend the Jewish Arc is run by an antisemitic gentile who gives and gets a pass for being “progressive”.
Unfortunately, Alex Soros is not a gentile. It would be easier to understand, but the fact is George’s wife is Jewish, so Alex is a genuine Jew. Neither of them are ones anyone could be proud of

Let’s add the Philadelphia Eagles to the teams that need to change their names, Eagles bad, Redskins bad, Cowboys bad and Giants bad, it is also non inclusive. Hey one NFL division in one year with new names. Think of all the jerseys and marketing opportunities that can be sold.
Ah-hah! I knew it — Nazis, all!
Just kidding. Here’s where I think USA Today, it’s fact-checker, rather, went wrong:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallacy_of_the_single_cause
Fallacy of the single cause
The fallacy of the single cause, also known as complex cause, causal oversimplification, causal reductionism, and reduction fallacy,[1] is a fallacy of questionable cause that occurs when it is assumed that there is a single, simple cause of an outcome when in reality it may have been caused by a number of only jointly sufficient causes.
It can be logically reduced to: ” X caused Y; therefore, X was the only cause of Y” (although A,B,C…etc. also contributed to Y.)[1]
Causal oversimplification is a specific kind of false dilemma where conjoint possibilities are ignored. In other words, the possible causes are assumed to be “A or B or C” when “A and B and C” or “A and B and not C” (etc.) are not taken into consideration.
And here’s Wikipedia’s complete list of fallacies.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies
Please post your choice if more applicable to USA Today’s awfully biased and dumb misstep.
“Idiocy” is more applicable.
The Illiberalism At The Heart Of Cancel Culture
Authored by John Lloyd via CAPX
In 2018, David Remnick, editor of the New Yorker and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, cancelled a public interview with Steve Bannon, a former senior adviser to President Donald Trump, which he had organised for the magazine’s annual festival. Several staff members had complained and two or three participants in the festival had said they would withdraw if Bannon appeared. Two of the magazine’s most distinguished writers, Malcolm Gladwell and Lawrence Wright, strongly criticised Remnick’s decision: “journalism is about hearing opposing views”, said Wright. Gladwell noted that “If you only invite your friends over, it’s called a dinner party”. The episode was a worrying sign of things to come.
In 2019, New York Review of Books publisher Rea Hederman – who has a proud history of anti-racism – fired Ian Buruma, editor of the Review for only sixteen months, after pressure from the staff. Buruma’s crime? He had printed an essay – ‘Confessions of a Hashtag’ by Jian Ghomeishi, a former Canadian Broadcasting radio host, who had been accused of violence to around twenty women, but had been recently acquitted in a case brought by some of them. Ghomeishi’s piece, which addressed these accusations, was deemed to be out of step with the spirit of the #MeToo movement. That the next issue of the NYRB was to devote a large amount of space to rebuttal was not enough to save Buruma……

Speaking of Pelosi, take a look at her workplace (I know, “Work” is too much of a word).
Seen anything beside the flag? Something that speaks to her Italian heritage?

There’s another Nazi slogan they are missing. Deutschland erwache. If you are Woke, you are a Nazi. Denying it only makes you a double-secret Nazi.
Trump is no Nazi, but the layout of the designs are similar, in the same way the US Space Force logo is undeniably similar to the Star Trek Federation logo. It’s either a complete coincidence, or there is an subversive illustrator in play here, trying to pull a fast one on the Trump crew. Or, the illustrator had seen the Nazi eagle and it subconsciously influenced the design, without an intended connection.
Google “USMC symbol”. I’m surprised Nazi designers weren’t executed for imitating the US Maring Corps.
The eagle on the shirt clearly has its stylistic roots in American folk-art eagles of the early 19th Century, and not in the Bauhaus/industrial style of the early 20th Century. And there are so many “eagles” from similarly disparate and unrelated styles, why compare the shirt’s eagle only to the Nazi eagle?

Typical leftist non-issue journalism. If we let journalists run our government for us, which it is, we will be governed by non-issues that are elevated to Federal policy.
Clarification: The claim that Trump 2020 has put out a T-shirt with a symbol similar to a Nazi eagle and is being criticized for it is true.
To be fair, the Trump campaign DID put out a T-shirt, and IS being criticized for it. The sentence as-written is word-garbage, but it is technically true.
However, it twists the principles of honest reporting past their breaking point to announce that as the “clarification”. Doubly-so when that’s not at all what they “fact-checked”.
But when was the last time we expected honest reporting from the media?
Many countries use eagles as national symbols. Mexico comes to mind, as do several Arabic and African countries, doubtless all run by Nazis.
Someone show this and force the facts acres to address this.
