‘Mini Mike’ Bloomberg Drops Out After Dropping $500 Million On Campaign With Little To Show
But he won American Somoa!
Axios and CBS News have reported that former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg has suspended his 2020 Democratic presidential campaign.
Bloomber will endorse former Vice President Joe Biden.
*Will update as more information comes out…
CNN reported the email he sent to supporters:
“Three months ago, I entered the race for President to defeat Donald Trump. Today, I am leaving the race for the same reason: to defeat Donald Trump – because it is clear to me that staying in would make achieving that goal more difficult,” Bloomberg announced in an email to supporters
Bloomberg will also endorse Biden:
“I’ve always believed that defeating Donald Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. After yesterday’s vote, it is clear that candidate is my friend and a great American, Joe Biden.
I’ve known Joe for a very long time. I know his decency, his honesty, and his commitment to the issues that are so important to our country – including gun safety, health care, climate change, and good jobs.
“I’ve had the chance to work with Joe on those issues over the years, and Joe has fought for working people his whole life. Today I am glad to endorse him – and I will work to make him the next President of the United States.
Bloomberg spent $550 million in advertising in his short campaign. He spent $224 million alone in Super Tuesday states. He ended the day with only four delegates.
JUST IN: @CBSNews has learned Michael Bloomberg is leaving the presidential race, CBS’s Tim Perry reports.

IT takes more than hate and mouth mini mike.
How in the heck did he get his Billion$?????????
Hook and crook?
The good old American way, by building a successful business. He didn’t inherit anything.
The Democrats are down to trying to astroturf candidates. What a mess.
The Democrat Party needs to clean house at least at the national level. The current set refuses to do so, possibly because they can’t stand the thought of losing all that voter money on behalf of their real constituents.
$550 million.
How many destitute people could Mini-Mike have charitably housed? Or fed? Or clothed? Or scholarshiped?
Mini-Mike: Screw ’em.
What a waste.
That’s up to the taxpayers. His ideas; the peasantry pays the bill.
She Who Must Be Obeyed, aka the wife of 53 years said much the same thing yesterday, essentially that he should have spent his money that way and not dropping it in the economy in his “campaign”. I’m sure he will, through his gun-grabber outfits and other PACs, drop a bunch more for Quid Pro Joe before 3 November.
I reminded her that the idea that others should determine what someone does with his money is a Socialist-Democrat i̶d̶e̶a̶ dream (and a rather damp one at that).
Those glowing words about Biden
BS, everyone of them
Biden made his millions blackmailing Governments
You are no Trump Mini-Mike. You cannot beat the Democrat Machine.
Mike could have provided over 2,000 single family homes to people with that 550 million. Instead he indulged his fragile ego and got a stomped worse than a narc at a bikers rally.
He most certainly didn’t make his money from charisma and an ability to make people over achieve did he hahahahaha.
Still…at least he’s still got lots and lots of cash. That must be some consolation to him? Hahahahah
Will gaffe machine Biden hold out? I read somewhere that he should have a woman as his vice-presidential candidate. Is this an opening perhaps for a Hillary, Klobuchar or (gasp) Michelle?
Stacey Abrams? I shudder at the thought, but she checks off two boxes.
What are the two boxes? XXXL and XXXXL?
Personally, I think that Biden deserves Abrams.
“. . . and good jobs.”
Said the candidate-wannabee for the “those jobs ain’t coming back” party.
With his campaign ended, guess what never happened that Mike said would?
1. Releasing his tax returns
2. Releasing the Bloomberg female employees from their NDAs
This jaded NYer thinks it was the above two items that weighed more heavily on him to drop out than the undisputed fact Mike has zero charisma and no path to victory.
Did you feel the disruption in “the Force” as thousands of “internet influencers” lost their cash flow from Mini-Mike ?
He got bullied by all those idiot voters who really, really, really needed to vote for him for their own good.
So, Uncle Samoa, not Uncle Sam..
We better check. He may own Somoa.
Eventually, a campaign has to be for something, not just against something(or someone). Mike, for all his millions, just didn’t get it.
bloomberg strikes me as a genuinely bad person. Either corrupted by his money or a natural born a-whole, there is something very wrong with the guy. Same with donna brazil. Imagine being that filled with hate. No thanks. The democrats are falling apart and there are still nine months to go.
I guess I’m cynical, but…
Bloomie didn’t withdraw, he suspended his campaign; to be revived at a later date?
Joe and Bernie are battling it out. Bloomie supports the party’s power structure choice – Biden. But he doesn’t criticize Bernie. He says little, but gives lots of $. He makes friends. (Look, I gave up my candidacy to defeat Trump. I’ll do anything to defeat Trump. etc.) If it gets to a brokered convention with Bernie and Joe in a nasty stalemate, Bloomie offers himself as a 3rd man who can be acceptable to voters on both sides. If the nomination is his: Game, set, match Bloomie.
Except today’s Twitter War reveals that he Bernie Bros HATE Mini Mike and Blame him for Bernie’s loss……
A little quick math reveals that if Bloomberg had simply invested that money, the annual return would have been enough to pay for 625 college scholarships per year (full boat) in perpetuity.
Notwithstanding judge not least ye be judged, it seems to me that Bloomberg’s ego got the best of him. I’d bet that if his parents were still alive, they would be ashamed.
There goes the easy commission money to everyone at the tv and radio stations.
Great ROI on the 550m Mike
At least you’ll have free time for golf in Bermuda
So in the end “Mike will NOT get it done”.
Russia spend $100k on facebook and got more votes than Bloomberg with $500m
Heck, Russia was the sole reason their candidate Trump was elected, if you can believe the idiotic DEMs.
What’s totally weird is seeing all these cognitively normal ex-candidates suddenly endorsing a confused, tired Joe Biden.
I thought for sure, that Bloomberg was going to continue right on, to the Northern Marianas Islands.
Go Land Crabs!
Can’t believe I’m the first to make that joke.
They better!
Lizzie’s chasing them with a copy of the New York Times Cookbook.
So who’s left now? Sleepy Joe, Crazy Bernie, and Fauxahontas?
I bet Joe offers Elizabeth Warren the VP slot to endorse and turn her delegates to him.
He raised a lot of issues and solutions propounded and administered by Trump. This was $500 million well spent. Thank you.
Like gun violence? ROTFL
Bloom Bloom , out go the lights
So Bloomberg came up short.
I wonder if I’m going to get another big mailer from him, explaining this decision and why I should vote for Biden instead.
I mean, wth, it’s only money and few more dead trees…
YouTube was the real winner of his campaign. I couldn’t watch a video without his dumb commercials coming up.
The Wall Street Journal @WSJ
Several Bloomberg campaign staffers said they were stunned by the ease with which decisions could be made and problems solved when money didn’t matter

Two points: 1.with all of his money Bberg may be more effective by spending hundreds of millions buying even more Congressional seat holders that increase big gov’t and decrease our liberty.
2.Bberg’s $500 million spend is approx .00083% of his reported net worth – it’s peanuts to him. Comparatively, this equates to average US household with the US median net worth of $97,000 spending $819.00, really not much considering that average American spends over $1200 a year on fast food.
