Amid Dem Impeachment Fervor, Hunter Biden To Resign From Chinese Firm

In their latest rush to overturn the 2016 presidential election, Democrats inadvertently swept into their net both former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
The senior Biden, who is also the sometime frontrunner for the Democrat 2020 presidential nomination, is visibly upset about this, and the junior Biden has vowed to resign his position on the board of a Chinese private equity firm.
Hunter Biden, the son of former vice president Joe Biden, will step down from the board of a Chinese private equity firm amid a “barrage of false charges” about his work, his lawyer said Sunday. The attorney also said Biden would not work on behalf of any foreign company if his father is elected president in 2020.
The announcement comes after weeks of attacks from President Trump, who has accused the Biden family of corruption for Hunter Biden’s ties to foreign companies despite no evidence of impropriety. Mr. Trump’s request for Ukraine to investigate the Bidens sparked the House’s ongoing impeachment inquiry, which Joe Biden supports. The president also publicly called for China to investigate the Bidens.
Additionally, Hunter has pledged that should his father win the 2020 presidential election, he will not work for any foreign company nor serve on any foreign boards.
Earlier Sunday morning, Hunter Biden’s attorney George Mesires published an online statement on his client’s behalf, providing detailed explanations for Biden’s ties to Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings and the Chinese firm BHR (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Company.
“Despite extensive scrutiny, at no time has any law enforcement agency, either domestic or foreign, alleged that Hunter engaged in wrongdoing at any point during his five-year term,” Mesires said about Hunter Biden’s work with Burisma, where Biden was a board member until April 2019.
. . . . As for BHR, Mesires claimed that Hunter Biden “has not received any compensation” for serving on the board, and “has not received any return on his investment.”
Still, Mesires stated that Hunter Biden plans to resign from BHR’s board by Oct. 31, and that if Joe Biden becomes the Democratic presidential nominee and goes on to defeat President Trump in the 2020 election, Hunter “will agree not to serve on boards of, or work on behalf of, foreign-owned companies.”

He may not have received any compensation for being on the board of BHR, but that is not the same as earning money from the relationship. He likely made millions through legal fees charged to related companies and his law firm’s involvement in the deals.

Throw a rock in a pig farm manure lagoon that’s full, you’d be surprised who gets splashed. Hunter’s lawyer says that Hunter went on the Ukrainian Board in 2013 or 2014–then resigned in April 2019. At $600 K a year ($50 K a month), Hunter “earned” $3 million plus for his “service”. And that’s just form the Ukrainian gas company. Nice work if you can get it.
The Dem’s threw the first rock with that Trump conversation. Wouldn’t surprise me if AG Barr, Giuliani, Federal District Attorney Dunham, and maybe Trump himself are going to start throwing rocks into that pool Pelosi may get splashed; The Schiffster has some Ukrainian connections etc.
Oops that’s $3 million plus “from” the gas company.
But then there are Pelosi and Kerry and Romney kids on Ukrainian boards. Why is Ukraine having more traction? It’s the Dem playground… Hillary server and all…. Dems have contacts to manipulate. The BIG problem is now all those Dems and RINOs are beholding to their respective Oligarchs who hold them ransom. Add to that that Russia also knows the (pay) dirt the Dems have. Putin has been given a gift to hold over the Dems and RINOs so they have to be more “flexible”.

This just means that Joe’s corrupt influence-peddling and threats were successful. “No evidence of impropriety” is pretty much what you’d expect from an investigation which didn’t happen.
Hunter promises that if his father is elected president, he’ll confine his activities to trading cattle futures and managing the Biden family foundation.

What happened to AP, NPR, The ABC’s rote reply of “unsubstantiated”? Or Chris Wallace’s, perhaps more odd rote repeated 5 times in a single discussion, that Biden’s receipts of foreign was “coincidental”.? I think we can retire these extraordinarily weak Democratic Party talking points. Particularly after Tulsi made it clear she is not only not afraid of the subject, she finds the behavior reprehensible and worth a discussion.
No one has ever taken O’Biden seriously, particularly Obama. Obama looked down on Joe in much the same way that everyone else has and still does.
I wonder if Joe & Hunter ever shared quality time, together, with Beau’s widow.
Could it be that Hunter was asked to resign as the Chinese don’t see any value in his being associated with them any more? As in, Dad’s gonna be toast, gonna have no influence at all.
Modified limited hangout, meant to delay anyone from holding the Bidens accountable. Nobody is going to care about Hunter’s phony resignation once the truth about Ukraine starts coming out.
It implicates many Dems other than the Bidens.
