The first Democratic debate is now logged in the annals of history. Night two was just as odd as night one, only with less Spanish and a heckuva lot more fighting for limited time.
After Warren bombed in the JV league Wednesday night, MSNBC dropped her and moved on to Kamala Harris, who was clearly preferred by the debate moderators.
The real winner tonight?
Illegal Immigrants. Every candidate on stage must’ve been feeling particularly generous as they offered would-be illegal immigrants free everything. Would be great if they cared about American citizens half as much.

Who stood out:
Harris, Biden, and Mayor Pete stood out, in that order.
Buttigieg didn’t make any mistakes, but he remains as bland as dry toast. He might fare well on a crowded stage, but if he gets much further in the race, he’ll have to to account for his record as Mayor and his actual role in Afghanistan, which some documents suggest might not be as dangerous as he’s led some to believe.
Decades of experience doing this kind of thing served Biden well. Kamala Harris smartly picked a fight with Biden, dare I say intentionally, and successfully used him for her best moment of the night, even if it was completely contrived. But God bless Uncle Joe, he refused to back down from Miss Victimhood Supreme. Watch:

Probably everyone else. They were for the most part perfectly forgettable. The sooner the DNC is able to shore up their donors and base behind a ticket, the better chance they have of giving Trump a run for his money.

Looked it up. Berkeley schools were integrated in 1948. In 1968 high schools began integrating via voluntary busing. No court orders.The school districts simply altered boundary lines. The ‘bus’ was just that. A school bus like we all had. Of course Harris was in High School in all white Canada then.

This from the Party that hosted fully-hooded KKK members demonstrating on the floor of their national convention less than a century ago.
I’m hearing that Harris, this morning, is offering a moral defense of mothers paying human traffickers (coyotes) to smuggle their daughters into the United States. Paired with the provisions in the failed Pelosi bill that seemed intended to streamline the child trafficking process and give it legal protection, I don’t see this stance as some kind of mistake. It is apparently what they truly believe is right and just.
This goes for any Republican, too. Those who support child trafficking, and granting special legal protections to that process, are crossing a red line for me as a human being. It’s not political. I just think it is a monumentally foolish and ruinous policy to adopt.
Saw a story yesterday about a 12-year-old that doctors detected samples of 20 different sperm strains in her.
Also, the CDC being brought in for some immigrants with “unknown” diseases and one suspected case of Ebola.
Ebola is a pretty bold claim given its short incubation time… I tend to tune such claims out. Pretty much every other disease known to man is a far likelier bet.

What did Scarborough mean by that, “disturbing”? Reagan won reelection in 1984 easily. I think Biden looked good in the latter part of the debate, but early on he showed hearing problems and apparently can’t raise his right hand above his head.
The only thing the Dems didn’t offer in the debate were first-class airline tickets to anybody in South America who wants to fly here and vote Democratic.

I thought Hickenlooper looked good, and Harris lost her bid last night. She picked a fight on her signature issue and got SMOKED. She ended up looking like the token black demanding her entitlement.
But it could still be a Biden – Harris ticket, designed to smuggle Harris in so that when Biden croaks, we’ve got President Harris and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. She’s certainly not presidential material on her own, not now, not later, but this way could be a plan.
And that coming-together between them could unite two wings of the Dem party. (If they hate each other it doesn’t matter, the Pres. and VP hate each other at least half the time.)
That’s what I now predict. Warren looked mediocre and is out. Nobody else on the first night looked especially good. We’re looking at a Biden-Harris ticket.
Why is anyone complaining. There’s no such thing as a paper American so there’s no basis in which to pick and choose. You’re discriminating against pre-Americans.
