Unable to Defeat Trump at the Polls, Dems Enlist Yale Psych Prof to Diagnose Him Mentally Unfit

“an emergency evaluation of the president’s mental capacity, by force if necessary”

https://youtu.be/ghg4-1rEZzk

First, the left rioted. Then they tried to intimidate members of the Electoral College into not voting for Trump. Then we had the Russia collusion conspiracy theories.

Now, they are trying to make the case that Trump is mentally unfit for office.

We are headed into the second year of Trump’s presidency and the left is still trying to think of ways to undo the 2016 election and have Trump removed from office. And they are calling other people crazy?

In this latest effort, Democrats have drafted Yale Psychiatry Professor Bandy Lee to declare Trump mentally unfit.

Ezra Klein’s site VOX is pushing this hard:

The psychiatrist who briefed Congress on Trump’s mental state: this is “an emergency”

The longer Donald Trump is in office, the more he shocks and alarms us with his strange and extremely unpresidential behavior.

From the incoherent, fallacious interview he gave the New York Times on December 28 to Tuesday’s tweet about his “nuclear button” to his Saturday morning assertion that he is a “very stable genius,” the remarks keep getting more menacing, bizarre, and portentous of disaster…

Yet there is a growing call from a group of psychiatrists — the best medical experts at interpreting aberrant human behavior — for exactly this: an emergency evaluation of the president’s mental capacity, by force if necessary.

Leading this call is Bandy Lee, an assistant professor in forensic psychiatry (the interface of law and mental health) at the Yale School of Medicine who has devoted her 20-year career to studying, predicting, and preventing violence.

She recently briefed a dozen members of Congress — Democrats and one Republican — on the president’s mental state. And this week, she, along with Judith Herman at Harvard and Robert Jay Lifton at Columbia, released a statement arguing that Trump is “further unraveling.” The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, a collection of essays from 27 mental health professionals that Lee edited, was published in October.

This psychiatrist wants to forcibly subject Trump to an evaluation. Listen to how reasonable she sounds. (Emphasis is mine):

So in an emergency, neither consent nor confidentiality requirements hold. Safety comes first. What we do in the case of danger is we contain the person, we remove them from access to weapons, and we do an urgent evaluation.

This is what we have been calling for with the president based on basic medical standards of care.

Surprisingly, many lawyer groups have actually volunteered, on their own, to file for a court paper to ensure that the security staff will cooperate with us. But we have declined, since this will really look like a coup, and while we are trying to prevent violence, we don’t wish to incite it through, say, an insurrection.

Even the always cool minded Byron York of the Washington Examiner found this startling:

Here’s an interview with Lee:

As for the claim that one Republican senator went with Democrats to be briefed by Lee, the Weekly Standard looked into it and could not confirm:

Did a Republican Senator Actually Meet with a Psychiatrist About Trump’s Sanity?

On Wednesday night, before Washington was completely consumed by Michael Wolff’s West Wing tell-all, Politico published a piece feeding into a different frenzy: the notion that Congress was concerned President Trump might be mentally unfit for office.

The article, titled “Washington’s growing obsession: The 25th amendment,” claims that more than a dozen lawmakers—all Democrats, with the exception of one nameless Republican senator—attended private briefings in early December with a Yale psychiatry professor to discuss Trump’s mental health.

The most interesting detail of the story, of course, was that one rebellious Republican senator had met with Dr. Bandy Lee to discuss her belief that Trump is unfit to serve as commander-in-chief. Politico reported that Lee refused to name the GOP lawmaker she claimed to have had a meeting with.

THE WEEKLY STANDARD reached out to every Republican Senate office to figure out which senator met with Dr. Lee, and was unable to confirm that any Republican Senator actually met with the Yale professor.

All of the fake concern about Trump’s mental health is just that. Fake. These are the insane ramblings of people who still have not accepted the results of an election that happened over a year ago. They are the ones who need mental help.

Democrats, heal thyselves.

Have you seen the psychologist? He makes Steve Bannon look clean cut and normal.
Since we’re basing things merely on appearances I say lock the guy.

What an embarrassment for Yale.

Yale has embarrassed itself to the point where even this nonsense isn’t surprising.

    C. Lashown in reply to Fen. | January 7, 2018 at 1:04 pm

YALE? I didn’t know that nest of vipers could be embarrassed. Here is the just the tip of a mighty large iceberg… I’m sure that ethically challenged psychiatrist had no problems getting free drinks and a few meals from her cohorts after her slanderous pronouncements.

    Meryl Streep
    Hillary Clinton
    Bill Clinton
    Oliver Stone
    Paul Krugman
    Anderson Cooper
    John Kerry
    Sonia Sotomayor

The psychiatrist who briefed Congress

She did not brief Congress. She had a private conversation with a handful of congressmen. Of course congressmen are free to invite whomever they like to talk to them; astrologers, clowns, snake-handlers, or Zoroastrians, but they don’t act in the name of Congress.

I see no reason to be upset if a Republican decided to hear what this person had to say; it’s always good to have an eye and an ear on the opposition, to know what they’re up to.

It’s a little worse than that. She had a meeting with several Democrat congresscritters, and then happened to bump into a Republican in the hallway by accident. (or at least that’s what Politico is denying frantically while trying as hard as they can not to confirm it)

Arminius in reply to Milhouse. | January 7, 2018 at 8:58 pm

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/did-a-republican-senator-actually-meet-with-a-psychiatrist-about-trumps-sanity/article/2011052

This Yale academic is trying to trump up (see what I did there?) the fact she bumped into a Republican or some small group of Republicans in a public area of the Senate office building into a “meeting.”

All this does is demonstrate the unfitness of this Yale psychology professor. It is entirely unethical to attempt to diagnose anyone who the psychiatrist/psychologist has not personally examined. So in addition to being unethical, we now know she’s dishonest.

And the only crazy people who are government officials are the congresscritters who are listening to this biased broad. They created this monster of a nuclear armed, ballistic missile-equipped DPRK run by a maniac. And Trump is scaring them because he’s not taking their advice, given that they’ve been abject failures for decades.

And not just with North Korea. They still believe in an Arab-Israeli peace process. That’s like being in your forties and still believing in Leprechauns or the Tooth Fairy.

They also believe that a nation that has been actively at war with us since 1979, and where every Friday sermon in every mosque in the country begins with shouting “death to America” (and of course “death to Israel”) is our natural regional partner.

    This manifestly insane.

I’ve been saying since 2010 that we would pay a high price for letting the NORKs get away with murder. They sank the Cheonan, and we know they sank the Cheonan. Kim Jong Il was handing out medals on national TV.

But SecState Hillary Clinton said we were going to rally the “international community” to our side. Again, does she believe in the Easter Bunny and Unicorns? There’s a collection of kleptocracies and dictatorships that comprise the bulk of the membership of the UN, but that’s no community. Predictably, Obama, Rice, and Clinton were humiliated. They got pantsed by the UNSC. Recognizing their cowardice, the PRC refused to allow any UNSC resolution that condemned the NORKs as the culprit.

So basically they got a UNSC resolution condemning the sinking of the Cheonan, whoever might have done it. The feckless idiots tried to spin that as some great victory. The NORKs celebrated by shelling the ROK Yeongpyeong islands later that year. As I recall Obama, Rice, and Clinton didn’t make a peep about it.

Biden said that someone would test Obama early in his presidency. I hate to say it, but Biden was the prescient one in that clown car. The NORKs and the ChICOMs tested Obama, and Obama failed miserably. And thank God Hillary isn’t president because she would fail in exactly the same way as Obama, the same way she failed at everything she did as SecState.

Kim Jong Un tried to test Trump and he’s shocked and scared by Trump’s response. Good!

Here’s a video of Billy Jeff announcing his breakthrough agreement with the NORKs. This is the kind of diplomacy that the smart, adult, sophisticated people sneering at Trump think we need.

“Bill Clinton Touts North Korea Deal in 1994”

Of course, all the serial sexual assaulter/rapist accomplished was to really get the ball rolling to produce the massive problem we have today. And the “smart, adult, sophisticated people” are too stupid and too insane to figure it out even now, now that lil’ rocket man has the nukes and ICBMs they essentially handed to them.

        http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1145000/images/_1147842_kimandalbright300.jpg

One of these people is a crazed moron.

The other is Kim Jong Il, who swindled her out of everything he wanted.

Back in ’94 I was an intel officer assigned to the regional Naval commander in Japan, although I made frequent trips to South Korea, as it was my job to be the North Korea expert.

This picture made my stomach turn even then. You didn’t have to be especially smart or prescient to know that this day would come, and it would come a lot quicker than the morons at CIA predicted it would (we need to demolish that agency and then salt the earth at Langley so nothing ever grows there again, then do the same thing at State). And our horribly incompetent yet arrogant political class, and I include the media in that class, was doing everything in their power to help the NORKs speed this day along.

They were fooled because they wanted to be fooled. It’s much more comfortable for them to tell themselves comforting lies than to face reality. They’re doing the same thing now, telling themselves terrorism has nothing to do with Islam. And that we can trust Iran.

They love their Stockholm syndrome. It is to them what that blanket is to Linus.

Unfortunately Linus is a cartoon character and they’re not.

The left needs to look at itself in the mirror. They have truly lost their collective minds over losing the election they thought they had wrapped up.

Does the Left need its own safe space at this point?

“Professor Bandy Lee”

Bandy Lee has a definite ring of a porn stage name.

I find it amazing that the very people who call Trump a fascist are so willing to behave like fascists. To “professor” Brandy Lee I have a suggestion: “physician heal thyself”.

I’m just dying to know how these lunatics plan to get past the Secret Service – never mind on what legal basis they think that they have any right at all, even in the name of medicine, to force an evaluation of the president. Any president.

Have they not read the Constitution?

Meanwhile, Bandy Lee needs to be charged with Sedition and the attempted overthrow of the government of the United States.

rustypaladin in reply to Granny. | January 7, 2018 at 11:19 am

No, not sedition. She should be investigated by the American Psychiatric Association for possible violation of the “Goldwater Rule”.

Bandy Lee needs to be charged with Sedition <—

aren't ethical issues that she has violated ?
pull her medical license let her undergo psych evaluation (I believe that it is a requirement for Psych Docs to do this in order to get accreditation)

as far as Secret Service, when Mad(as a hatter)Donna stated that she thinks about blowing up the WH and she is still free goes –
    well she is a nutter…..

Bandy Lee apparently does not possess a medical license but has for some reason or other let it expire and is attempting to get a new one. I’ve never known a licensed medical doctor who willingly allows their license to lapse but go figure . . . .

        C. Lashown in reply to Granny. | January 7, 2018 at 1:20 pm

I also wonder, as are others, is she an agent of a foreign country (China perhaps, or North Korea).

        Gremlin1974 in reply to Granny. | January 7, 2018 at 2:51 pm

Because she is an academic not a practicing physician. It happens pretty often with Physicians that take purely academic positions, they just think they don’t need their license anymore. Or they fail to get the appropriate required continuing education that is required to keep your licenses so they get suspended.

Milhouse in reply to Granny. | January 7, 2018 at 3:10 pm

Where’d you get the idea Lee has no license? There’s a psychiatrist by that name practicing in New Haven, and surely there can’t be two psychiatrists with the same unusual name in the same town.

          Gremlin1974 in reply to Milhouse. | January 7, 2018 at 3:37 pm

Because Medical Licenses are a matter of public record and I looked she is not licenses in Connecticut. The only license for a Brandy Lee is as an RN.

She also apparently has offices in New York, however New York’s licensure look up seems to be on the fritz for some reason.

Also what you linked to is a profile by a third party which are know for being horribly out of date. If you had bothered to check the one you linked hasn’t been updated since 2015.

Also if you look up the clinic listed for her it is the CMHC at Yale and strangely “Dr.” Lee doesn’t seem to be listed in their current staff directory.

          http://psychiatry.yale.edu/care/cmhc/CMHC%20Staff%20Directory_252501_284_4172_v1.pdf

None of which is really here nor there. Her actions and statements are clear violations of ethics and practice and if she does have a license I hope someone will file a complaint.

Sedition laws are unconstitutional. Advocating anything, even the overthrow of the United States, let alone merely the compulsory testing of a president, cannot be a crime. Schenck and anything relying on it is no longer law.

      Gremlin1974 in reply to 4th armored div. | January 7, 2018 at 3:21 pm

“aren’t ethical issues that she has violated?”

Yes, many in fact her actions are completely unethical, unprofessional, and possibly could be considered malpractice.

“pull her medical license let her undergo psych evaluation”

Here is her Yale bio, she doesn’t even practice or teach in main stream psych. From what I can tell she has never been an actual practicing psychiatrist. So most likely it comes back to the old saying that is even more true today in Universities; “Those who can’t do, teach.”

      http://psychiatry.yale.edu/people/bandy_lee.profile

Also, I have looked for her medical license and I can find none in Connecticut and strangely New York’s look up system is currently down.

“(I believe that it is a requirement for Psych Docs to do this in order to get accreditation)”

      Depends on the State honestly.

Liz in reply to Granny. | January 7, 2018 at 12:16 pm

Concerning the Secret Service – it will be interesting to hear from some of those guys about what they saw and how they were treated by the President and his family.

Remember all the stories about Hillary Clinton and her treatment of the Secret Service? And many problems arose with the Secret Service during Obama’s time in office (the inappropriate behavior of the agents – was it to relieve stress?)

Arminius in reply to Granny. | January 8, 2018 at 1:47 am

Oh, it’ll probably be some genius idea like shouting “now!” and then trying to rush the President en masse. And when the Secret Service guns some of them down and arrests the rest, they’ll just tell the judge (via video link since they can’t appear in person as they’re all on suicide watch and aren’t allowed to leave the jail) that for the good of the country they were just trying to forcibly compel the President to undergo a non-consensual psyche eval. So they could kick him out of office and install Hillary Clinton just like the Constitution demands. But the fascists in the Secret Service stopped them.

Isn’t that what any sophisticated, over-educated ivy-league credentialed, smug, self-congratulatory adult would do to stop that out-of-control overgrown child Trump?

After 20 years, she’s still an Assistant Professor? Can’t get tenure, eh, Cupcake?

Not very strong in the professional ethics department, this bandit Lee.

Answer if you choose to share. Just wondering, as it smacks of Soviet psych tactics…..

Exiliado in reply to DINORightMarie. | January 8, 2018 at 1:20 am

      Sorry for the delay.
The answer is YES. It’s a very common practice.
They lock dissidents in psychiatric institutions and subject them to electroshock or drug “therapy”. If the person somehow managed to get some name recognition they publicize the supposed metal disorders to discredit them.
One recent example: The guy that ran with the American flag last May Day was subjected to that treatment.

Perhaps if Trump did not act mad people would not think him mad.

What is your definition of mad? Because I am sure a lot of other people don’t have that definition.

DaveGinOly in reply to mfasanolenox. | January 7, 2018 at 1:20 pm

And maybe voters were tired of presidents who were so “presidential” that they were ineffective, or worse. I only care about results. If it takes a madman to get them, then we need a madman in office. Two or so days after his “button” comment, the Norks decide to talk to the South Koreans. Coincidence?

Perhaps if you were not an insane commie people would not think you were an insane commie.

Since this is a publicity stunt by the media with compliant democrat idiots they should all be held up to the same scorn as congressmen who went to a witch doctor.

If Lee is authorized to make medical or evaluation diagnosis she should be investigated by the governing body she works under and disciplined for malfeasance and malpractice.

I’ve seen public and ngo agencies work off the reports of psychics, New age quacks, shaman and now a snake oil salesman. I’ve seen them shut down a city based off the dreams of a pet psychic. Shut down this witch sniffer now, drag her through the mud then professionally tar and feather her.

Any congressmen involved who do not immediately repudiate this should be placed in a dunce cap and put in a corner for all to witness their stupidity and shame.

In complete defiance of the Goldwater Rule, which has the commonsense requirement that a psychiatrist/psychologist actually and personally examine the person they are diagnosing, Ms. Lee is HUMPING HER BOOK, “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President” as seen at https://us.macmillan.com/thedangerouscaseofdonaldtrump/bandyxlee/9781250179456/

She works in prisons and promotes asylum litigation.

Need I say more about Noam Chomsky or Gail Sheehy? The other characters, er, authors are a fine collection of opinion over professionalism.

You can shop for psychiatrists etc., including pseudopsychiatrists, just like you can shop judges and lawyers; you can always find some that will say exactly what you want to hear, with a supposed aura of authority.

Physician heal thyself, indeed.

If you needed any more proof that this woman is a liberal hack, Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) has invited Lee to her house this week for a small dinner with fellow Democrats (love to see that list). https://ctmirror.org/2018/01/05/delauro-invites-yale-psychiatrist-to-discuss-trumps-mental-health/

What next, a first class plane ride (last minute) with Shiela Jackson Lee?

DINORightMarie | January 7, 2018 at 11:44 am

All of the fake concern about Trump’s mental health is just that. Fake. These are the insane ramblings of people who still have not accepted the results of an election that happened over a year ago. They are the ones who need mental help.

First off – that last statement is 1000% correct! The so-called psychiatrist (and those who are taking this tack) are the ones who need mental help.

Second off – this is much more than just “fake” and “insane ramblings.” This is dangerous, using Soviet-style tactics against your “target” or “enemy” to try to discredit and take out that person not favored by the opposing powers that be. And, that includes all those Democrats who sat and listened to this lunacy. They should be reprimanded by Congress, at the very least!

Whose tactics?! Stalin. Lenin. Mao. Pol Pot. Need I go on?

It is dangerous and frightening that anyone would consider this self-assumed “expert,” a psychiatrist Prof who never examined Trump – probably has never met him at all! – as credible, or that anyone would consider this lunacy as legitimate. I believe this shrink – and any others like Bandy Lee – should have all licenses to practice suspended, if not revoked. It’s that dangerous, because it is a form of malpractice.

I am no Trump fan, but I hope he puts out a full medical report – physical, mental, the works – with a CLEAN bill of health to stop this nonsense in its tracks. It is sedition, an attempt at a coup by fallacious and malicious means, attempting to use medical credentials as a tool, even a weapon to depose a duly elected POTUS.

Trump should never put out any kind of mental evaluation because that gives the Left power of forcing him to medically deny that he is crazy. He should start suing and challenging people’s medical licenses.

He already DID put out a full medical report, remember? Why on earth should he submit to a psychiatric exam that no other sitting president in our history has been expected to submit to?

Milhouse in reply to Granny. | January 8, 2018 at 12:30 pm

He already DID put out a full medical report, remember?

What are you talking about? When did he do that? All I remember is the ridiculous letter he released from some purported doctor, saying he would be “the healthiest president ever”.

100% correct. Which is why I left working in psych. The changed happened in the mid-90’s. I am a nurse and specialized in what is called MICA (Mental Illness and Chemical Abuse) in a forensic setting (i.e. criminals).

I watched over the course of about 2 years when the success of our program was destroyed because of the shift from; “You may be mentally ill but you still are responsible for your actions.” to “Yes you committed a crime but you are mentally ill so it’s not your fault.” Which was a complete paradigm shift.

I told the people at my program when they got rid of me for challenging the new paradigm that within 2 years they would be closed down. I was only off by 3 days.

Freddie Sykes | January 7, 2018 at 12:22 pm

She seems to be claiming that 97% of psychiatrists agree that Trump is crazy. Who can argue with that? What is needed is that Trump and everyone who voted for him, myself included, be interned in reeducation camps until such time as we can prove that we represent no real danger to society. The only other option is to take off and nuke the entire red part of the country from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

Here is an old, but interesting NYT article about the release of mental patients from hospitals.

http://www.nytimes.com/1984/10/30/science/how-release-of-mental-patients-began.html?pagewanted=3&pagewanted=all

One point was the cost shifting from state to local. Notice the political party mentioned in this exchange….

” His point is borne out repeatedly by references in Congressional testimony, such as the following exchange at a House subcommittee hearing between Representative Leo W. O’Brien, Democrat of upstate New York, and Dr. Henry N. Pratt, director of New York Hospital in Manhattan, who appeared on behalf of the American Hospital Association.

Mr. O’Brien: ”Do you know offhand how much New York appropriates annually for its mental hospitals?”

Dr. Pratt: ”It is the vast sum of $400 million to $500 million.”

Mr. O’Brien: ”So you see that, through a real attempt to handle this problem at the community level, the possibility that this dead weight of $400 million to $500 million a year around the necks of the New York State taxpayers might be reduced considerably in the next 15 or 20 years?

Dr. Pratt: ”I do, indeed. Yes, sir.”

He then told the subcommittee that ”striking proof of the advantages of local short-term intensive care of the mentally ill was brought out” in a Missouri study.

Dr. Pratt’s testimony and the Missouri study were repeatedly cited in subsequent Congressional debates on the community centers bill by such politicians as Senator Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota and Representative Kenneth A. Roberts of Alabama. “

No surprise. It turns out she is a far left crank that dislikes just about everything about America. She has been referred to the certification board for improper practice because of her current activities.

    Gremlin1974 in reply to puhiawa. | January 7, 2018 at 5:05 pm

Can you please offer I citation for your assertion. I am not doubting you but such claims should really be backed up with a link.

Yale needs to put the ex in Bandy X’s resume’.

Let’s face it, considering the demands of the job, anyone who wants to be president is wrong in the head in some way or another.

Given some of the losers we’ve had in office in the 20th century, it is tempting to see some truth to your comment.

But men like the Roosevelts, Truman, Eisenhower, Reagan, Ford and Trump all had and have a higher calling than the corrupt sleazeballs that were Johnson, Bill Clinton and obama. (Obama is a special case: he didn’t ‘earn’ the presidency any more than he did that farce of a nobel prize he was given: he was was ‘placed’ in the presidency – as an organ grinder monkey of george soros’. And what an organ grinder monkey he was, and remains.)

When someone runs for high office because they see a higher calling instead of their own self-grandizement (klinton), great. (That’s test #1.) But look next at their ‘calling.’ (This is test #2:- for they could be jerry brown, tom styer, or mark zuckerberg. Next, look at their life achievements, if any. The LAST person we want in the presidency is a political hack, of either party: that is how our government is been so corrupted. (That’s test #3.) Next, look for iron balls. (Test #4.)

Shake it all out, and you’ve got Donald Trump. No coincidence we made him president. And it’s working out great!

The left has gone from “He will NEVER be elected to “He only got elected because of Russian collusion”. Then we get Mueller and it looks like the collusion theory is dead and he has moved on to obstruction of justice. That is starting to slide as well and the left is now working on the 25th amendment to get rid of Trump because of mental illness. This tempest in a teapot of a book will fire this new meme up for about a week and then we will get to see the next reason that Trump is unfit for office. I suspect the bimbo eruption with Lisa Bloom leading the charge with Soros funding. Who knows what fantasy they will come up with next? The bottom line is that Trump is doing more than their black Jesus did in eight years and they can’t stand it. He is so far into their thick heads that they may explode at any time. He knows exactly what string to pull and they over react every time!

So a doctor with no current medical license, who is diagnosing somebody outside of the ethical practices of her supposed field, and is flacking a book with more errors than an Enron spreadsheet, is willing to go on national TV in order to accuse the elected head of the entire government of being ineligible to hold office.

A couple of takes here.
1) God bless the United States and the First Amendment, which allows anybody to say anything they want without fear of government censorship, because if this loon can babble free on TV, nobody can *possibly* accuse the US of oppressing our free speech rights.

2) Yale is most probably looking over her contract now, or at least considering legal action to make her claim to be working for Harvard instead. (Not our name! Just… take our name off your title, please?)

3) An unbroken string of rake-stepping continues for our friends in liberal media.

In 2014, a professor/department chair from my university wrote an article about how “it’s ok to hate Republicans.” I emailed the university to complain about creating a hostile educational environment for conservatives, but they used the 1st Amendment as an excuse. They ignored my point that she was getting plenty of exposure because she was a university professor.

Since then, there have lots of examples where writing and saying something using your professional status does have an impact.

I no longer send any type of donations to the university but I do have a fun time discussing the matter with the kids who call up asking for money.

I think she should try, and find out what happens. Trump supporters are notoriously calm and forgiving.

Just remember, most of the nevertrump crowd side with these mentally ill idiots.

probably an exception somewhere, but I’ve yet to see one.

Yale, where the inmates run the asylum.

It’s really come down to this: we should be calling the left, ‘alt-reality.’ These people are actually living in the Matrix.

They still believe in the contrivance of ‘obama’ and hillary klinton. They still believe in the alt-history they’ve been taught. Probably most of them think 9/11 was staged (as if two planes being flown into two buildings wasn’t enough: Bush conspired to have the lower buildings imploded), the moon landing was fake (despite everyone seeing 36-story tall rockets take-off, several times).

To the alt-reality crowd this yale idiot belongs to, obama still deserves the joke of the nobel prize awarded to him.

If you look at Trump’s lifetime achievements (as if becoming a New York real estate billionaire over and over and over again wasn’t enough), the guy is a genius. Now compare with the lack of a SINGLE achievement by obama or klinton in their lives prior to holding office. Not one! But to the alt-reality crowd, obama and klinton are geniuses, and Trump is…whatever.

People with high IQs are sometimes the easiest to fool: they are often from families where they are taught to study at an early age, and scholastic work comes relatively easy to them. They’ve had to sweat for very little, and their relative success was pre-ordained when they were born. Unlike the grinding life of a construction worker, who sees life much more simply (and accurately) and who is is very hard to fool them with the kind of drivel and pathetic group-think this likes of his yale idiot has her head filled with. (Trump has the brains of the former, but the life experience of the latter.)

We choose reality, not alt-reality. But it must also be said that the leaders of the likes of this yale idiot don’t believe in their own alt-reality: they merely want money and power, without earning it the hard way. Too lazy to work hard, and too weak to become street criminals, fascists realize they can earn and gain power by corrupting the innocent (the likes of this yale idiot) and the corruptable, like the overpaid street idiots in the NFL. (Interestingly, they’ve completely corrupted the GOPe – and because they knew better, they are far more despicable than this yale useful idiot.

Alt-reality. There you have it.

I sent an email to Dr. Bandy X. Lee about this back in December when one of her op ed pieces appeared in the NY Times. She actually responded to my email (zounds!) and admitted that her opinion about Trump’s mental fitness was not intended to be a “diagnosis.” See excerpt of my email exchange with Dr. Lee, below:

Hi [marco100],

Thank you for your comment. It is a common misconception that we are diagnosing a public figure. We are merely calling for an evaluation.

Best wishes,
Bandy

Hi Bandy, your article was amusing. Let me link you to another one which you desperately need to read:

It’s wonderful that you’re using your platform as a faculty member of YSM to spout your political view very thinly veiled as “professional opinions.” Or maybe not so wonderful. It’s cowardly and hypocritical.

I don’t know whether it’s also unethical. It doesn’t seem you care about that, so why should I?

Have a nice day.

All right, cool down. This is not any kind of manifesto or “call to action”; it’s no Common Sense, J’accuse…!, or even a Communist Manifesto. The Secret Service isn’t going to have to stock up on hollow points. Nothing real is going to happen.

Bandy X. has probably realized that she’s gone about as far as she ever will on the Academic Affirmative Action gravy train, so maybe she’ll try her hand at writing.

Not even the publisher has to believe there’s anything real behind it. Books like this have a certain near-guaranteed level of sales, since every public library in America will buy at least one copy. And if it sells more than that, so much the better; the risk is small, the prospective benefits pretty decent, so … publish and be damned.

For Libs, it’s something more to grouse about. Hollywood needs darts to throw at the President whenever it wallows in those tedious affairs when the glitterati wannabes give awards to each other, and this gives them a few relatively fresh things to whine about.

And for the Dems, it’s more dog poo to throw in the punch bowl. And imaginary dog poo will do when they can’t find any of the real stuff. Artificial, irrelevant standards and moving goalposts are the sine qua non of the party of Wilson, FDR, Billy Jeff and Bammi. And they’ll use them. None of it will do them any good, but the D’rats are not exactly the party of new ideas, so they’ll keep butting the same old heads against the same old walls.

In short … I’m really enjoying the year so far, even with the snow.

“This is not any kind of manifesto or “call to action”…”

Have to disagree. And if Karl Rove learned anything from eight years of the disaster of tolerating George Bush as a peniata, (which gave us ‘obama’), he’d have to disagree, too.

This kind of cancerous propaganda thing needs to be crushed – right away. Its proponents need to face the same scrutiny.

This is simply another attempt at legitimizing the Trump Presidency. And, these attempts are not going to end anytime soon.

To date, we have had the claim that the election was stolen from HRC by fraud in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. It was investigated and found to be untrue. Then we had the “grass roots” Antifa movement which was using violence, wholly supported by the liberals and Progressives, to “protest” the election of DJT. That disappeared almost overnight as negative public opinion shut off the money tap. We have seen the MSM question everything about the President, his family and his associates, all in a negative light. And, seen them whine when they get called on it. We have seen the Russian Collusion nonsense promulgated non-stop for over a year. And seen absolutely NO EVIDENCE that there is any validity to that charge. We have seen the liberal/Progressive cabal question Trump’s mental state since just after the election. And, nothing has worked to stop him. In fact, Trump’s agenda has been so successful, that the Establishment GOP in Congress actually passed a tax reform bill which not only reduces taxes on businesses, investors and the working middle class, but rescinds the individual Obamacare mandate.

All they have left is to attack Trump through fake news, fake expose books, fake psychiatry and, probably, fake criminal charges. The phony attacks on Trump have been so steady and ridiculous, that more and more people are tuning them out. Most of the people on this forum pay attention to them, simply because we are interested in things political. But, most people really don’t care anymore. So, though they will continue, they are having less and less impact.

Of course. It’s all fake; mere noise. That’s what I said. This woman is not laying out a plan of conquest, she’s scattering propaganda fig-leaves. And that’s all. So far, that stuff hasn’t been enough, and I don’t expect that to change.

“This is simply another attempt at (de-)legitimizing the Trump Presidency. And, these attempts are not going to end anytime soon…”

Putin has an M.O. He meddles in elections on both sides in order to undermine public confidence in the outcomes of elections. In Europe he funds both antifa/black bloc types as well as skin heads/neo nazis.

The same here. If you look at his Facebook ad buys he appealed to both #BlackLivesMatter and White Identity types. On the one hand I have no doubt he’d hack into the DNC information systems (although no one has presented any hard evidence to prove it). On the other hand it was Kremlin-connected sources that provided Steele with all those lies about DJT in his garbage dossier.

So, shouldn’t someone ask the Democrats why they’re Putin’s willing puppets, gleefully trying to finish the job that Putin started during he general election?

“So, shouldn’t someone ask the Democrats why they’re Putin’s willing puppets…”

The commie left, or “democrats”, have always been in league with the commies in Russia and any other criminal commie state. The sun will rise in the east tomorrow as well.

Arminius in reply to Barry. | January 8, 2018 at 9:34 pm

Yes, but the Democrats are accusing Trump of secretly colluding with Russia. Meanwhile they’re openly colluding with Russia. Putin ran the first leg of the race, then handed them the baton, and they’re running flat out to help Putin undermine public confidence in the results of our election by de-legitimizing Trump.

Which is what Putin wanted all along no matter who won.

The same Bandy Lee back in 2014 claimed voting republican is linked with an increase in violent deaths.

Want to Prevent Suicides and Homicides? Vote Democratic
A study finds that Republican presidencies are linked with an increase in violent deaths.

The U.S. midterm elections are just 3 weeks from today, and if you’re looking for some evidence-based suggestions on who to vote for to prevent suicides and killings, a study out last week might have some answers.

Or one answer, anyway: Vote for a Democrat.

Here’s what a group of researchers at Yale and New York University led by Bandy Lee, MD, found when they analyzed homicide rates, suicide rates, and who controlled the White House from 1900 until 2010: “Violent deaths were associated with an increase under Republican presidents and a decrease under Democratic presidents, were higher in states that vote for Republican than for Democratic presidential candidates, and increased alongside increasing unemployment and falling national [gross domestic product] GDP.”

Today I discovered that Yale Psych professors deserve all the attention one would give to a Yale Psych professor. How much do people spend to attend Yale?

Another reason I have little to no trust in Psychology as any type of serious endeavor. Analyzing and diagnosing possible faults in a citizen without ever having a face to face and then advocating the forcible if necessary evaluation of an elected President should be universally condemned by Mental Health Professionals. I have heard nothing. This speaks loudly. How can anything said by these “shrinks” be taken seriously?

Not even the Democrats think they can “invoke” the 25th Amendment and get rid of Trump. First of all, that’s not how it works. Second, the requirement to remove the President under the 25th Amendment is even higher than impeachment. And they’ll never impeach and convict Trump.

Basically, this is all they have left to pin their hopes on r.e. taking back the House and Senate. Convince people who now have better job prospects, are getting bonuses, and will see larger paychecks that Trump is unfit to be President.

Because of course he’s giving away the government’s money to the people who actually earned it.

Yes, I predict this will backfire on them big time. Only a bunch of lunatics would settle on this as a plan.

I also predict the Democrats will shut down the government over the “dreamers” and DACA.

Which will provide the GOP with a great opportunity to point out that the “blame America first” cabal of leftists hate actual Americans and love illegal aliens.

After all, Pelosi called illegal aliens, particularly the “dreamers,” the best among us. Not Americans but illegals.

And they’ll hold Americans hostage over the replacement electorate they hope to import and replace the Americans they despise.

“So in an emergency, neither consent nor confidentiality requirements hold. Safety comes first.”

And perhaps you could call it, “The Committee on Public Safety”?

And how did that “Liberté, égalité, fraternité stuff turn out the last time it was tried?

Radical leftist psycho-lunatic is trying to pathologize maleness. What they are freaked about — beyond political opposition — is Trump’s aggressive negotiating style, staking big position chsnges in order to force changes in expectations. This classic alpha male behavior especially freaks them in dealing with enemies because it is so different than their own fully feminized psychology. They are a bunch of females and gamma males (males who try siphon off bits of alpha male power through subversion, manipulation and back-stabbing).

Females have a stronger instinct to appease aggressors because they reproduce with whoever wins. Their instinct is to avoid violence in almost all situations. Look at almost any species. The females stand aside while the males contest for who will take possession of them. VERY dysfunctional for national leadership.

Men’s instinct, especially the alpha male instinct, is to fight an invader because otherwise the invader gets the females and the conquered males are killed, enslaved, or otherwise face severely reduced chances for reproduction. This CAN be dysfunctional for a nation if it leads to otherwise irrational aggression, but it is generally functional and is always functional when facing an aggressor.

Bitchy Bandy Lee is taking her own female emotions, at the very point where they are irrational for the guidance of a nation, and using them as a standard for declaring that the different normal male emotions and reactions to be pathological. Basically she is radically unethical vermin, violating every professional standard, and should be denounced as such by her profession.

Much as I think female instincts are at odds with rational decision making for a nation I would never even consider suggesting that they are in any way pathological or disordered. The innate tendencies of female nature are part of what DEFINE the normally ordered female mind. I have no problem with Lee arguing that Trump’s alpha male psychology makes him a bad pick for president. It’s a quixotic view but but no worse than parading around in a vagina suit. Go for it.

Pretending that alpha-maleness is pathological, however, as Lee does, is a blatant lie, proving that she is utterly unqualified, both ethically and as regards basic substance, in her area of proclaimed expertise.

A revealing snippet from one of Bitchy Bandy’s cadre of coup-plotters. James Gilligan, a psychiatrist and professor at New York University, told Bandy’s conference: “I’ve worked with murderers and rapists. I can recognise dangerousness from a mile away. You don’t have to be an expert on dangerousness or spend fifty years studying it like I have in order to know how dangerous this man is.”

Is there any doubt whatsoever that this “expert on dangerousness” would also say that a gun is dangerous? These violence-studies leftists always look at the instrument, not at the purpose for which it is used. Of course a gun IS dangerous, as pro-gun people all recognize, but we also recognize that NOT having a gun can be a lot more dangerous, and IN GENERAL is a lot more dangerous, than having a gun. The anti-gun lunatics only recognize the danger that a gun presents. They never account how dangerous it is in many situations not to be able to defend yourself effectively against serious criminality.

This is the mindset that they are showing with Trump. His aggressive alpha male negotiating style, shaking up his opponents’ expectations of what they can achieve, getting them sliding and struggling to find a new foothold as he pushes them back, scares them the way a gun scares them. It represents power and they fear power. They don’t recognize, or refuse to recognize, the importance, the good and necessary side, of wielding power effectively.

Foreign powers had been allowed to take advantage of us. Obama gloried in bending over, ceding ground, apologizing for America, “leading from behind,” but he is not the first. Under Clinton we agreed to further open up international competition at the same time as we hamstrung our own industries with regulations and massive employer mandates that made it impossible for them to compete internationally, which gutted our industrial heartland in one decade. Just insane disregard for the general interest.

Trump is grabbing it back, deregulating, cutting taxes, TRYING to cut other burdens on our economy, and he is succeeding brilliantly. THIS is what the pussified brain-dead leftist “psychiatrists” are freaked about. They have these purely female minds – even the nominal males like this James Gilligan – that recoil from the power of the alpha male. Well, if they were NORMAL females they might be attracted to the alpha male, but they are leftist feminists of the rationally incompetent anti-gun type. To serve their own political commitments they won’t LET themselves think rationally about things like guns and alpha male negotiating tactics.

An example of this in Russia today …

MOSCOW (Reuters) – A Russian historian whose exposure of Soviet leader Josef Stalin’s crimes angered state officials is due to begin enforced psychiatric testing this week amid fears he will be falsely declared insane, his lawyer said on Tuesday.
