U. Missouri System Creates ‘Diversity 101’ Program For Faculty
“course will teach concepts like “inclusive excellence”
The University of Missouri is experiencing enrollment problems over the campus protests of 2015. Programs like this one aren’t going to help that problem.

University Announces Diversity 101 For Faculty To Create ‘Culture Of Inclusion’
A university announced Monday that an introductory diversity course will teach concepts like “inclusive excellence” and “obstacles to inclusion.”
The University of Missouri will host the “Diversity 101” course for the next three semesters, according to an announcement posted to the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s website.
“The course was designed to engage mixed groups of faculty and staff from across departments and units in a learning process that will enhance our capacity to build a culture where everyone feels they are welcome, they belong and they can thrive,” description of the course says.
Faculty participants in the free course will spend 30 to 45 minutes reviewing course materials and creating a discussion post, 30 to 60 minutes responding to other users’ posts and 15 minutes drafting a weekly journal entry.
“Join faculty and staff colleagues in this online course to learn about and engage together on diversity, inclusive excellence, action planning and more,” the description says.

Somehow I rather doubt that process will leave conservatives and/or Christians with the warm fuzzies.
Since the University can’t require all their faculty and staff to take this course, I suspect it will be “strongly encouraged.”
When I was still teaching, all of the faculty at the college where I taught were required to go to “Diversity Training” sessions. They amounted to political indoctrination in identity victim politics. But it was clear that one’s career would be enhanced by attending quietly and avoiding any criticism of the sessions.
It’s worse than that…no career enhancement (positive benefit) at all, just avoidance of the negative benefit of career jeopardy if you go along rather than avoid or critically engage the exercise.
Gee, you take a college filled with ultra-Leftist professors, force them into an indoctrination program o coddling the students even more, supporting claims that minorities are repressed even more, and believing that America is an inherently a bad place. What could possibly go wrong? Additionally, why would any parent with two neurons connected, ever want to sent their child to such a “new and improved” institution of indoctrination and demonstrated incompetence?
