Years ago when astronomers discovered that Uranus, like Saturn, has a system of rings, the San Francisco Chronicle had a 1/4 page headline that read, “Scientists Discover Rings Around Uranus”.
Oh, I learned scads…!!! One lesson was just how insane and without the LEAST principle is the Collective.
For instance, Bad Luck Barry has DONE things…routinely… you idiots only fantasized about BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooosh doing, and it’s all cool.
That taught me that nothing you try to impose on others as “good” has any bearing on you. Again. Some more.
Seriously, as you watch Republiklans voting against the Violence Against Women Act, enacting more restrictions against women’s rights in states all over the country, engaging in voter suppression across the country, and so forth, don’t you have any idea of what rotten, terrible human beings conservatives are?
Conservatives deeply and permanently dishonored America with George W. Bush and their love of torture, among other things.
Conservatives dishonored America, and deeply and permanently harmed our dignity, our proud history, our standing in the world, our reputation, and our morality. Hell, conservatives enthusiastically supported torture, even though our own laws forbid it.
Conservatives are terrible, rotten, awful human beings who are a disgrace to America and everything America has ever stood for. Conservatism is a scourge, a plague, a black mark on the American soul.
Because for humanoids like you everything should be a federal crime. It never occurs to you that VAWA may just be pointless and unnecessary because you can use it to buy votes.
Harlan, there are intellectual Liberals who I greatly respect. Unfortunately for them, your statements are making them (and Liberalism) look bad. You are making own-goals. You would be far more effective if you cited facts, and then gave some moral context as to why you consider them good or bad. This is one of the strong points of the Professor and most of the commentators on this site.
Harlan lies about the awful (but VERY popularly supported) idea of making voters present a picture ID.
To the imaginary…and even if real TINY…extent this would impose a problem for anyone, Harlan ignores the simple fix.
Harlan and the corp of Really Good And Concerned People(tm)…and/or the NAACP (which used to do such things)…could load up the ol’ Prius with the puuuuuurrr, simple folk, and take them down to the Palace d’ Photographique to get their picture ID.
This would allow the puuuuurrr ALSO to augment their meager incomes by selling recycled metals, which they cannot now legally do in several “Progressive” states. http://www.earthworksrecycling.com/faqScrap.html
Liberals think requiring ID is voter suppression… I suppose it is, after all illegal immigrants, dead people and cartoon characters will be unable to vote.
On a more serious note, this also goes back to yesterday’s “Friday Night Card Game” which addressed taking the ‘illegal’ out of illegal immigrants. Part of the current liberal agenda is blur the lines between illegal and legal immigration.
Given their point about “native” I can only assume that they are against illegal aliens, and support the fine work of the INS and Men in Black to protect us against illegal aliens.
I guess the push is on to claim some native american affinity which seems to come back in style from tume to time. Maybe it does a true diservice to folks that can actually point to a native american background in their heritage. And those folks desreve whatever that recognition may do for them.
But cheaply or dishonestly claimed? Its as boorish as touting “I have several African American friends”
I wonder how this one feels about Israel… If we are all ‘earth natives’ then why do the Jews have any less claim to Israel than the ‘Palestinian natives’? Can a liberal ever consistently apply their ideology, or do they always just go with what sounds hip and open-minded?
@Harlan
If I’m not mistaken, Harlan, what you are saying is that I can continue to be a rotten, terrible, awful, terrible, rotten, disgraceful, dishonorable, undignified, immoral, harmful, torture-loving, woman-hating, voter-suppressing scourge, not to mention black plague, on the American soul, i.e Republiklan [sic].
OR
I can be persuaded to become a COMPASSIONATE Left-wingnut like YOU.
Tell me, do I have to attend Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s church for this conversion?
Nope you can become a COMPASSIONATE Left-wingnut simply by trolling forums and saying terrible things about anyone that disagrees with the liberal dogma. No churchin’ required.
A bit late with this but I did a quick check on Warren’s ancestry and her claim is native-american on her mother’s side, according to family lore. Her mother was Pauline Reed and Pauline’s mother was Lela (unknown maiden name), who according to the 1930 census was born around 1883 in Pennsylvania. I don’t think there were Indian tribes living there at this time. Now, this is not definitive, but the tribes she is supposed to be descended from were not from Pennsylvania (Deleware and Cherokee). From personal experiences in checking family background, family lore can get a bit bizarre at times. So I don’t doubt the lore, but there comes a time as adults we should question it.
I stand corrected. The Lanape (sp?) tribe was located there and included the Deleware.

Earth native to Elizabeth Warren, earth native to Elizabeth Warren, can you read me?

“Earth native to Elizabeth Warren, earth native to Elizabeth Warren, can you read me?”
Sally,
It’s too late. Look at the bumper sticker. The whole globe is blue. The ice is all melted and the continents are submerged. Admit it. We’re maniacs. (Except for Al Gore.)
Think I detect a problem, with the bumper stickee. This is Uranus
HEY, I didn’t name it!
This IS Earth
Years ago when astronomers discovered that Uranus, like Saturn, has a system of rings, the San Francisco Chronicle had a 1/4 page headline that read, “Scientists Discover Rings Around Uranus”.
Best headline evah…….
Yeah sure is. Umm, aren’t those also called hemorrhrings?
All of us? What place are leftwing moonbats natives of?
Reticulator: The reality-based place. You ought to try it someday. 😉
Harlan, Harlan, Harlan, you poor lost soul. Your compass is broken. It keeps pointing to the left.
How much did you pay to have someone send you a postcard?
No dude, my compass isn’t broken. Yours is. Didn’t the Bush years teach you anything?
Oh, I learned scads…!!! One lesson was just how insane and without the LEAST principle is the Collective.

Or succinctly, a moonbat troll.
Because for humanoids like you everything should be a federal crime. It never occurs to you that VAWA may just be pointless and unnecessary because you can use it to buy votes.
Some GOP Senators voted against the VAWA because they…you know…READ it!
Here’s the actual-factual…http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2012/04/war-on-women-fail.php

“engaging in voter suppression across the country”
What???? When did this happen?
Harlan lies about the awful (but VERY popularly supported) idea of making voters present a picture ID.

Hey Harlan, howz’ your brother, jimbo3?
Wait! Nahhh, could it be?
For Lefty’s sake let’s all just COEXIST in a sea of pharmaceutical harmony, where compasses don’t matter.

The hypocrisy on display: Elizabeth Warren seems to like dressing up like an Indian when it benefits her…
Here are some historic events she should think about.
