The great thing about AACONS is that they dare to breach invisible barriers that no one wants to breach. The part about “pale, male and stale” in describing the GOP quickly moves into a discussion about Mia being the latest “token black” as a mask for the GOP.
Mia is also zeroed in on the most important point of all, that we are stuck in a narrative that doesn’t allow for anything other than unaccountable big government. She is NOT a token anything. She is showing all signs that she is conservative to the core. You don’t get that dissonance that comes from listening to a Romney, for instance, espousing his conservative credentials. Mia is singing a song as if she wrote it. Romney is doing a bad cover version of someone else’s #1 hit hoping for a short-cut to fame. We need more Mia Loves.
No way. It’s more likely that Romney is just making a no-risk bet by riding her coattails for future reference. She doesn’t need that endorsement and probably would be better off without it. It doesn’t sound like you listened to the interview.
Off Topic: The Badfinger doc over on the right side is highly recommended. Thanks Professor for posting that. Or is that just an app which rotates various videos through? Anyway, just a note to all the Insurrectionists that you should check it out.
I have been listening to Badfinger for the last few days after watching your video for “No Matter What”. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed their music.
I have to agree with PasadenaPhil. That interview was a pleasure to listen to because the conservative principles Mia talks so fluently about just roll off her tongue naturally. There’s no hesitation. No phoniness. It’s easy when you talk about stuff you genuinely believe to your core, which is how she comes off.
I would say the same thing about the woman who interviewed Mia. They both sound solidly, unabashedly conservative and upbeat. Very refreshing.

Love was endorsed by a Romney son. She’s now ‘connected’ and ‘beholden’ for life.

“If you liked Ike, you’ll love Love.”

I choose the videos
Well played sir.

Thank goodness he didn’t choose Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” for Mia.

Glad I took the time to listen to it all.
