Tucker Carlson and Jehmu Green Spar Over Planned Parenthood
Green: “no such thing as a federally-funded abortion”
Having shown her true colors in calling Tucker Carlson a “bow-tying white boy” in 2012 and running unsuccessfully for DNC chair because, as she told Tucker in January, “we don’t need white people leading the Democratic party right now,” Jehmu Green again tangled with Tucker last night.
This time the subject was Planned Parenthood, and Green did not do well. To put it mildly. Not only was she incredibly rude, shouting over Tucker, but she also kept trotting out the same tired leftist lines we’ve heard for decades and know to be untrue and illogical.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson got a heated debate with Democrat Jehmu Greene over Planned Parenthood funding on his show Friday night, so heated that the debate became a shouting match several times.
Carlson began the segment by explaining President Donald Trump’s recent proposal to Planned Parenthood: that if the organization would stop providing abortions, then he would have no problems giving the organization its $500 million in taxpayer funds each year.
Planned Parenthood has said they aren’t interested in the proposal because they want to continue providing abortions. So that led Carlson to wonder a simple question: If Planned Parenthood’s services are so vital to women, and if abortions make up a tiny percent of their business — like they claim — why aren’t they willing to stop providing abortions so they can continue to collect tax payer funding?
Carlson directed that question to Greene — who refused to answer it.

“Why are abortions to important to Planned Parenthood, if the rest of what they do is more important, why not just give up the abortions, everyone will be happy, they can continue to do the cancer screenings,” Carlson pressed. “Why won’t they do that?”
“Tucker, abortions are a legal medical procedure in this country and that’s something you’re just gonna have to reckon with,” Greene responded.
The two went back and forth as Carlson asked his question again but Greene continued to deflect.
“You’re not going to answer my question, are you,” Carlson asked.
Greene then began to imply that Carlson’s question was sexist.
“Answer this question Tucker: Why is it that you’re so against big government on every issue except for when it comes to my uterus and my vagina,” she said. “Can you imagine if the government would say, ‘Lets legislate your penis.’ That’s not ever something that will be allowed by you or any of your male counterparts and it’s time that we get past this issue.”
Carlson seemed upset after those comments and tried to ask his question again, but Greene kept talking over him, while alleging that 70 percent of the nation supports abortions and 50 percent of Trump supporters support Planned Parenthood.
“You’re wrong,” Carlson bluntly told Greene, as she began to spout of talking points about how Planned Parenthood provides vital services to women like cancer screenings while still avoiding Carlson’s question of why Planned Parenthood won’t stop providing abortions if the abortions are so unimportant to their services.
“How many mammograms did they provide last year?” Carlson asked Greene.
She couldn’t answer.
“Alright, I give up,” Carlson finally said. “Get back to me on the mammogram question.”
I’ll answer that one: Planned Parenthood provided zero mammograms last year . . . the same number as every other year.

I enjoy Carlson but he has to raise the intelligence level of his guests or his show will eventually suffer. This fool has been this way since she first appeared on FNC. Debating her is a non-debate. She is like many of the extreme left in that they have no facts and spew only emotions and insults. I am getting tired of the all-talk-at-once shows where there is no give and take, just shouting and anger. I remember the old “Crossfire” being at least civil. Of course, the two combatants were not even in the same state at the time!
I agree with you completely, inspectorudy, but I honestly think that this is just where our culture has devolved and don’t see any resolution.

The tech solution is to have all the participants in soundproof booths, with the moderator controlling which microphone is connected to the feed. It would be most amusing to watch the switched-off shouters foam and spew spittle helplessly as they are ignored until it is their turn to talk.
For two-party conversations, without a moderator, same thing, but with a chess clock arrangement, so each gets equal time. The preemptive shouters would use up all of their time quickly, leaving the more intelligent to refute them and have the last word at the end.

First, elective abortion is a final solution. A denial of life unworthy. Never again, right?
Second, the Planned Parenthood corporation has two conflicts of interest: abortion rites and clinical cannibalism, which cannot be ethically reconciled to remove secular incentives.
Political progress for female chauvinists has come at too high a price.
Tucker seems to have three types of guests. Ones who are sane, and he lets them talk uninterrupted, because they are answering the question he asked. The second type is the unhinged nobody, who tweeted or blogged something outrageous, so Tucker invites them on and attempts to explore their reasoning, but they foam at the mouth and go off topic altogether. Then he has people like this woman, who have name recognition. This last group seems to all be coached by the same person, because they all do the same thing: repeat their talking points over and over, talking over top of Tucker, regardless of what he says to them or asks them. It gets predictably boring, and I’d like to see him rein them in on that. Maybe tell them up front, and on camera, that if they choose not to discuss, but to rant and talk incessantly, that he’ll end the interview.
It’s becoming a freak show – and an opportunity for frauds like this to get notoriety.

In my motorcycling days, I felt invisible to all motorists; I fantasized carrying an air horn, to give those coming too close a blast, to sound as if an 18-wheeler was about to flatten them.
I’d enjoy seeing Tucker hold up an air horn, and promise a blast for guests who won’t answer a question or debate a point, but just keep yammering away with canned insults and talking points . . . and if they refuse to engage, then give ’em a blast.
I know, it would probably destroy a mic or two, but hey, I can dream . . .
