Malcolm Nance: Trump is working ‘in the interest of a hostile nation’
Appearing on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show, intelligence and national security commentator Malcolm Nance said this morning that Donald Trump is “pushing this nation to a constitutional crisis of unprecedented magnitude.” Nance accused Trump of working “in the interest of a hostile nation and supporting, to a certain extent, a hostile intelligence service.”
Nance was reacting to Trump’s reluctance to give a full-throated acceptance of the views of the US intelligence community regarding Russian hacking. Nance predicted that Trump will attempt a cover-up and will “gut” the intelligence agencies.
Charging the President-elect with working “in the interest of a hostile nation” and attempting a cover-up certainly sounds like an accusation of high crimes and misdemeanors, as suggested by his view that we are moving to an unprecedented constitutional crisis. Guess the honeymoon ended early!
MALCOLM NANCE: When Donald Trump made his statement on July 27th of last year where he asked for Russia to hack Hillary Clinton and release her emails, at that point he went from being an unwitting useful idiot to Russia to actually believing that they were working in his, in his favor. And to admit that now in the face of all the evidence, he would believe that this would delegitimize his presidency.
So he’s going to fight to the end to not allow this to become a narrative. I suspect in two weeks he’s going to attempt to cover this all up and even gut the intelligence community. Where he is going is he’s pushing this nation to a constitutional crisis of unprecedented magnitude, because no one has ever worked in the interest of a hostile nation and supporting, to a certain extent, a hostile intelligence service.

For eight years, Obama gutted the intelligence and armed service communities and supported every enemy state against US interests. But that was okay – he was bringing hope and change.
We knew the MSM and Dems would act hypocritically, but they have exceeded all expectations and Trump is not even in office yet.
What next? Playing golf will now become an impeachable offense.
Obama did not gut these agencies. Instead, he eliminated everyone who was not ideologically pure enough. In the military, almost every senior officer who was not a raging, effeminate, liberal was removed and, the more of a leader they were, the more quickly they were removed. Agencies such as NASA were transformed by having those who wholeheartedly believed in global warming placed throughout senior levels of the administration. The same occurred in EPA, DOJ, IRS, and elsewhere.

The result we now face is not a government that has been gutted, rather it is a government filled with appointees who passed Obama’s ideological purity test. We can put new leaders into these agencies to run them, but until these ideologically pure, driven, and committed individuals are removed, all work emanating from these agencies will be tainted and questionable.
And we should pay attention to these people and the media, why?

It’s still 2 weeks before Trump is even Prez, so there’s really not a lot of real news to talk about outside of the daily Congressional shenanigans. Which are really the same every day, with only the issues interchanged occasionally to give some semblance of novelty.

Sometimes, these really wacky claims are interesting, in the sense that any puzzle is interesting. Where did it go wrong? That weirdo who recently announced that North Carolina is no longer a “democracy”, for instance; he actually has an argument—not a good one, but at least he has one—and it’s interesting, as an exercise, to consider for a few seconds where the guy’s train of thought went off the rails and over the cliff.

That’s simply not true. Not saying he will, or that I even expect it, but he certainly COULD top Church’s damage.
I didn’t write “nothing Trump can do”. Trump is about to be president, and therefore obviously will be able to do more damage than a mere senator managed. But not by accident; to outdo Church he’d have to be damaging the USA on purpose, out of actual malice, and so far I have seen nothing to indicate that Trump actively hates the USA. Even our current president, who does hate the USA, has done remarkably little damage. So if you like read “Nothing Trump does” as “Nothing Trump will do”, or “Nothing Trump is even remotely likely to do”.

Don’t you wish one of these self-appointed know-it-all’s would get a quote right, even just once in a while? Trump’s 27 July comment was made after the Russian (??) hack had already gone down; Trump was not encouraging any hacking, just stating his hope that the hackers, whoever they might be, could find about 30,000 misplaced (cough) emails. Nance isn’t even a DNC “useful idiot”.

But either I was missing something, or Nance has veered hard left in the interim.
