Number of Illegals Flowing Across Border Already Tops 2015

The number of illegal aliens flooding into the country has been alarming for quite some time and more so in the past couple of years.  This year, however, is shaping up to be a banner year with the number of illegals streaming across the border already topping the number for the entirety of last year, though not quite at 2014 levels.

The Washington Times reports:

The number of illegal immigrant families jumping the border so far this fiscal year has already topped all of 2015, according to Homeland Security statistics released Friday that show the administration’s border problems continue to grow.

Some 6,788 people traveling as families were caught on the southwest border in May — a leap of more than 20 percent over April, and putting the total for the first eight months of the fiscal year at nearly 45,000.

That’s already well above the 2015 yearlong total of fewer than 40,000, though it’s short of the record pace set in 2014, when a massive surge exposed massive holes in the U.S. immigration system.

To add to the problem, illegal alien adults are purportedly abducting children as they head for our southern border so that they can pose as “families” . . . all the better to take advantage of Obama’s lax “catch and release” policies for illegal immigrant families.

The Washington Times continues:

Federal and local authorities have struggled to explain the latest surge in families, but a government lawyer gave one explanation to a federal judge earlier this month, saying that the Obama administration’s own lax enforcement policies, set in part by the courts, have enticed ever more people to make the harrowing journey.

The Justice Department’s immigration-law expert even told the judge that Illegal immigrants are abducting children on their trip north, hoping to pose as families to take advantage of the lax policies.

Senator Jeff Sessions said earlier this week that Obama, acting like a “dictator,” is flooding rural towns with illegals.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions said that the administration’s plan to ship some 2,000 illegals to his state has been met with the same outrage as other efforts to take undocumented immigrants seized in Texas and Arizona and house them as far away as Massachusetts.

“They feel like this is a dictator from Washington who will not listen to the people’s concerns and they are very concerned about it,” Sessions told Secrets after a speech to the Security Industry Association in downtown Washington.

“It’s just maddening,” he added. Sessions said that the administration is eyeing military bases that don’t even have housing as the destination for the illegals.

. . . . “What’s happening in Alabama is happening this around the country and it is the result of idiotic policy cannot never work, that’s encouraging more people to come illegally, and then we treat them, we house them, we feed them for months, and we release them basically on bail and then they just go where they wanted to go to begin with,” said the senator.
