I said months ago Obama would instruct his justice department to drag their feet with the investigation of Hillary Clinton until she has the nomination locked down and Bernie Sanders is locked out. Then he’ll have them lower the boom on her. He’ll offer Hillary a pardon if she pulls out of the race and goes home and stays home. Then he’ll back Lizzie Warren’s getting into the race. Bernie’s supporters preferred Warren from the get go. Hillary’s supporters will still have their “historical candidate” so the party gets its unity, and Obama gets the credit. Should Warren become the first woman POTUS, Obama gets to rub Hillary’s nose in it, which I’m sure would please him and Michelle. Maybe even enough to make leaving the White House more palatable. Warren’s suddenly becoming more visible and anti-Trump is right on schedule.
Might work some places won’t in others. IIRC the NJ supremes determined that a party could set its own rules including breaking them when they wanted.
I don’t think it goes for a national election and it would be too late for Warren. They’d have to toss it to Bernie.
I only see prosecutorial discretion in Hill’s future. The Dems will not dump their front runner this near the election. And they would never prosecute a Clinton over something as petty as our national security and felonies.
She’s safe she can’t be touched over a live girl and a dead boy already. Nothing can touch her. It just isn’t done for the ultra elites.
The DNC would just hold a rules committee meeting and unbind all of the delegates. In 2008 they took delegates from Hillary Clinton she had won in primaries and moved them to Obama. Unbinding delegates would be much simpler than that. The rules for each convention are made before the convention starts. There is no reason they would have to give Bernie the nomination. And his supporters would be over the moon to get Warren instead.
It’s been a long time since I’ve paid attention to the democrat process. I am certain they can change their rules at the convention but without any campaigning she’ll be at a huge disadvantage and her visuals are just awful.
She looks like a lesbian studies teacher and when she speaks no one can pay attention because her voice is awful.

Yeah, Trump is not government. He is globalist, with a distinctly domestic flavor. And yet despite his limited revenue, debt, and redistributive capacity, he manages to succeed more often than he fails. Oh, and his family. The American dream for folks striving for positive progressive.
Infinitely better in any case to a person (Cruz) who has spent his entire life trying to be a powerful politician. How anyone believes that he is the answer to a government drunk on power is beyond me.

I am not here to knock Trump but if you consider Cruz’s time as Texas Solicitor General as a political position, then give him credit for winning some important Supreme Court cases. From Wikipedia:

Heller, Cruz drafted the amicus brief signed by the attorneys general of 31 states, which said that the Washington, D.C. handgun ban should be struck down as infringing upon the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.[56][59] Cruz also presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
In addition to his success in Heller, Cruz successfully defended the constitutionality of the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds before the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court, winning 5–4 in Van Orden v. Perry.
In 2004, Cruz was involved in the high-profile case, Elk Grove Unified School District v. Trump supporters will need Cruz supporters to win the election. And Cruz supporters will need Trump supporters to win the election. Otherwise we get Hillary or Bernie or Michelle or Fauxcahontas.
