MoveOn Goes Full Socialist, Endorses Bernie Sanders
“Most Votes and Widest Margin in Our History”
The largest liberal grassroots organization in the country announced their support for Democratic presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders Tuesday.

This is the third major progressive grassroots get for Sanders who also secured endorsed from The Working Families Party and Democracy for America.
MoveOn endorsements are decided through a membership vote. Sanders won almost 80% of more than 340,000 votes which MoveOn described as the, “most votes and widest margin” in their history.
The only other presidential primary endorsement made by MoveOn was awarded to President Obama in early 2008.
The final vote tally:
Bernie Sanders – 78.60%, 267,749 votes cast
Hillary Clinton – 14.62%, 49,811 votes Cast
Martin O’Malley – 0.87% – 2,950 votes Cast
Do Not Endorse – 5.92% – 20,155 votes Cast
Total Valid Votes Cast: 340,665
MoveOn explained why its supporters overwhelming chose Bernie Sanders:
- Bernie’s lifelong commitment to standing up to corporate and 1% interests to fight for an economy where everyone has a fair shot.
- He’s standing up for justice for communities facing oppression.
- He’ll say no to permanent war.
- Electability: This election will hinge on turnout, and Bernie is inspiring and mobilizing the communities it’ll take to win.
- Putting members in the driver’s seat is what MoveOn does, and a whopping 79 percent voted to endorse Bernie.
#4 is going to leave a mark, particularly as Hillary Clinton’s campaign trudges along through scandal, an expanding FBI investigation, and dwindling poll numbers.
MoveOn attempted to persuade Elizabeth Warren to run for president, when she refused, members tossed their support behind Sanders, reported the New York Times.

Reason #6: Hillary snubbed moveon.org in November, declining to participate in their Dem candidate forum/debate. Without the top candidate…
Reason #7: Hillary badmouthed moveon.org big time in November about the “gusher of money” they sent Obama’s way in 2008, and the way they’ve continued to ‘sabotage’ her campaign events with anti-Hillary activists among the crowd. While once pro-Bill Clinton (lobbying for censure over impeachment), moveon.org has never been on Hillary’s side.
Also, they haven’t gone full socialist. They were always full socialist.
And why not? History is replete with evidence of what a fantastic political system it is. I mean who doesn’t get all warm and fuzzy thinking about Stalin and Mao and Che and Castro? So a few tens of millions of the hoi polloi needed to be sacrificed; it was a small price to pay. Heck, look at the raging success it’s been in Venezuela lately…who needs toilet paper when you can wipe you ass with money!
I have a sneaking suspicion you don’t really mean that.

Another side note: NONE of the groups you mentioned are either “grassroots” or Democrat groups.
They are SOCIALIST groups. DFA is the Democrat-SOCIALISTS for America, and the Working Families Party IS SOCIALIST. By their own declaration. They identify with the Communist Party USA.

I seem to remember that the name came from idea that we should “move on” from the Clinton scandals.
George Soros organized and funded it in 1998, despite MSM descriptions of it being ‘grassroots’. Its purpose was indeed to defend Bill Clinton. Their battle cry was to demand Congress censure Clinton and ‘move on’. They were hpoing to head off impeachment. Having failed in that, afterwards it became another of many socialist activist orgs, funding and agitating for socialist causes and candidates.
In truth, there’s one overriding reason why its supporters overwhelmingly chose Bernie Sanders: they’re all insane.
Bernie Sanders is their second choice. They badly wanted Elizabeth Warren, tried to draft her into running in this cycle. So yes, they’re all insane.
The word you’re looking for is COMMUNIST.
Bernie is, as he ever was, an adherent of the Soviet model of Communism. He’s enamored with the Cuban model of Communism too.
The D’s are essentially running Leon Trotsky for POTUS. At least Stalin had the good sense to have the original Trotsky executed. The D’s think Americans will actually vote for theirs.
